has anyone had one person in their party try for RoR and another try for WS at the same time and been successful getting at least one?

The answer is yes I hit join first for RoR and it kept spinning, a second later my partner hit join for WS and we got group 97. Go figure!

If it’s not on the home page tap on the 3 lines on the bottom right and click virtual queues. My sister’s iPod touch doesn’t have the join boarding group option on her home page because it’s an older version of the app (it’s an older version of the iPod so she can’t get the current one)

Yep, that's exactly how I did it. I got them a group but it was late (192) because I had to hit refresh. At least they have one. You were exactly right about the app. I was signed into her account on my son's phone and he had an older version of the app. I'll be all ready to go for her tomorrow if she needs me. Thanks!

Interestingly, only the three who had scanned into the park were pre-checked so once I got the button to appear I just clicked through.

Well, I successfully practiced today at 7am, first time in several days. 12pm is pretty well in hand for a ROTR practice so I am going to try for WS at noon.

The answer is yes I hit join first for RoR and it kept spinning, a second later my partner hit join for WS and we got group 97. Go figure!

I would recommend people be careful with this. I had a friend who got a WS BG first at the noon drop and their partner got a RotR BG 5 seconds later. They lost their WS BG when RotR confirmed, so a warning that doing both does come with a risk that your #1 selection may come through and have your #2 wipe out your #1 choice.

Really make sure you do not take your time checking ticket selections in your party. Trust Disney to choose the correct tickets automatically.

If you’re practicing you have to manually check tickets. But if you have a park reservation they’ll automatically be selected

You must first enter Disneyland Park to join a boarding group.

This needs to be updated at the top of Post #1 now that 7 am is open outside the park.

I can't believe this is the case because nobody with a park hopper could try to get either time drop since you can't hop until 1:00.

If you have a park hopper you can try at the noon drop because you won’t be called until at least 1 anyway. But you have to have a park reservation for DL to get one at 7

So I have been practicing at home for our upcoming trip and just want to clarify something. Obviously right now we don't have a valid park reservation for today and I have to hit the select all in our party option. Will my party automatically be selected the days we have park reservations? I think it was like that when we went to WDW last fall but don't remember.

I haven't been to the park since Virtual Queue became a thing. Finally decided on a return to the park in December! Book our hotel, but still too early to purchase tickets and make a park reservation. I tried a test run on the whole VQ thing. My question is, everyone keeps talking about how when you practice, you have to select everyone in your party manually, but on the actual day if they have reservations, it'll be automatic. When I practiced, since no tickets yet, I didn't see anyone in my party. Will my party show up once I can buy tickets? Or is there a way I can set up my party now prior to tickets and reservations being made?

You'll have to wait until you have tickets tied to your account in order to use the Disneyland app.

If you really want to practice, the WDW app works nearly the same, but just utilizes the friends and family list, so you don't need tickets to practice. You can practice there at either 7am or 1pm eastern time.

It only automatically select your tickets if you are visiting for the day.

While practicing, you have to choose a ticket or select all. Day of your park pass reservation, the tickets tied to the reservation will be automatically selected.

Thats what I thought, but my ticket is for today and it didn't work. None of my tickets were selected and I was not able to move forward without selecting them.
