RIP Thread

When I was stationed in California, I used to listen to Paul Harvey on the radio during lunch. His son sounds a lot like him and does a pretty good job with the show. RIP, Paul Harvey. Thanks for your service.

I listened to him whenever I could. Loved the stories, loved listening to someone that actually researched the topics he reported on. We've lost something here. :guilty:

Yep, very sad that he is gone. "Stand by...for NEWS!". He referred to his twice-daily news broadcast as Paul Harvey News and Comment, and unlike most journalists today he actually knew the difference between the two.

RIP The guy from the Angels, Harry Kalas, voice of the Phillies and NFL; and Mark "The Bird" Fidrych.... Bad week for baseball.

I hate this thread. Good bye Bea - a classy broad, and I say that with the greatest respect

Aw.... loved Bea Arthur. Smart, loads of attitude and funny as hell to boot. RIP :sad1:

Jack Kemp - former Buffalo Bills quarterback, US Congressman and VP candidate.

I knew you would post that. I met Jack several times - my uncle was a good friend of his (politically motivated). A very classy guy. And a very good QB.
