Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

Bella's open mouth picture sure gave me a chuckle this morning! That baby has a healthy appetite for sure!

On another note, the sling is on, after a stern talking to from my personal trainer down in Florida, I will be sleeping in it and only taking it off for showers....

Love the Kona update. The past two trips we were supposed to eat at Ohana or Kona and something has happened both times. I am determined to head there next trip. I haven't been to the Poly since I stayed there as a child once. We seem to always make it to Contemporary, though, but I think I would like the Poly ambiance better. If I were to go to one place, would you recommend Kona or Ohana for dinner? Have you done the Ohana character breakfast?

Aw, now that I've stayed at Pop, I have a new love for any Pop pics I see. Especially when I'm in post-Disney depression!

I love the pics of Bella and the bread. :rotfl: She is such a sweetie. I loved how she just leaned over for me to hold her on Friday.

I am so glad you liked Pop! Did the pictures I showed you beforehand help you navigate your way around? I bet it was fun to see things in person that you had only imagined. They're huge!

I missed the Kona update! That is on my really, really long list of Disney restaurants I want to try. The steak with the pineapple looks really good. I love Bella going after the bread, and Brooklynn looks so serious perusing the menu. :rotfl:

The idea of no more resort merchandise makes me sad. I'm still bummed that the mugs are no longer resort-specific because I really liked having various mugs from different trips with the resort theme on it. I'm pretty sure we still have some mugs from our first trip, at CBR, floating around.

Steak, potatoes, and broccoli - delicious! Go for it. The pork chop is excellent, too.

This would be a food time to buy some things to sell on ebay!

Someday I will stay at the Poly. I will, I will, I will. I wish I could have been there with you guys! Sounds like NYE dinner at Kona was good...maybe someday I'll have to give it a second chance.

Dinner was good. We want to stay there sometime, too, but it'll have to be a two-nighter. There's no way we could afford to stay for a whole trip!

I have a 3-year-old story-and it's just for you MeMom.

We went to Busch Gardens on Saturday. I found a penny in the parking lot, but of course it became Johanna's right away. Well, over in the Ireland section there is a little fountain, and I asked her if she wanted to throw in her penny and make a wish. She dug it out of her pocket, threw it in, and then told me, "I wished I could have Prince Naveen!" I laughed, and I think the first thing I said was, "I'll have to tell MeMom that. She has a little crush on him." :rotfl:

Another great update, of course! Your Kona meal looks yummy! I can't wait to eat there in August.

Yes, I do have a crush on Naveen. He's a doll! I think I would lose out pretty solidly to a cute little three year old, though.

Hmmm...maybe Naveen has a single uncle.

Thanks for sharing that sweet story. One day, we are going to find our way to your Busch Gardens.

I :lovestruc gingerbread houses. I think maybe that's what I want to do when I retire and go to work at Disney -- decorate gingerbread houses.

Bella opening her mouth for the Kona bread is cracking me up! She has good taste! :lmao:

Well, come and see me over at Animal Kingdom when the decorating is done. :)

Bella just loves food, and she knows what she wants. The other day, she had macaroni and banana slices on the plate I was feeding her. When I put macaroni up, she leaned in, but when I put banana up, she turned her head. She likes bananas just fine, but she wasn't having any part of them until the macaroni was gone.

Thanks for the all the Epcot pictures, especially the topiaries. When we were there in December our Epcot day was the only day it rained and it POURED ALL DAY. Not just a little rain where we could get through it, no it was raining cats and dogs. My boots were soaked and we were not exactly enjoying ourselves like that so we missed a lot of the Christmas stuff in that park. So, thanks! :thumbsup2

Loveee the Poly, definitely my favorite resort! Can't wait to try Kona in a few months for dinner. All of your food looks delicious and that bread the size of Bella's head is hilarious! Especially since she tried to eat it :rotfl2:

Sorry the rain made you miss so much. You'll have to do another Christmas trip to make up for it.

Kona this summer will be awesome! We want to do the luau one day, too.

Thanks for the update. Love me some Kona. Love me some Poly.:thumbsup2

Me, too!

What an evil trainer! I would dock his pay. ::yes::

 Hope it's better today!

Just think about her hanging out at home Dising while we are at school working so hard. :snooty:

We have done two Kona dinners and one 'Ohana breakfast, so we can't compare. We have to flip-flop soon and do an 'Ohana dinner and Kona breakfast.

I think the only drawback to 'Ohana for dinner is that they pretty much just have the noodles - no potatoes any more. The experts around here can help you out more.

MeMom, when is your culture night? Or is it day?

Not for a while. We began our study this week, but that is just in our SS classes. One group is doing Japan and the other is doing Australia. The big Culture Week/Dinner won't be until after TCAP.

I am so glad you liked Pop! Did the pictures I showed you beforehand help you navigate your way around? I bet it was fun to see things in person that you had only imagined. They're huge!

Your pics did help! :) It was fun to see everything in person that I've seen on the computer.

Kona looks delicious!! We have an ADR in May for breakfast. Love the Tonga Toast.

LOVE the pic of Bella with the bread:cutie: Wow that is some bread!!

Hey I would buy a big ol Disney Chia Pet. Put it right on my front lawn with my Tinkerbell birdbath!!

The food at Kona looks so good! We have never eaten there but it is on my list for next time, I really want to go there for breakfast!

We're supposed to see 70 later in the week. :cool1:

His senior year certainly ended in an unexpected way!

Your son needs to have that shirt. ::yes::

******************************

I think he does too , boy is this shopping list for September getting long !:rotfl:

Very nice updates :thumbsup2

I love the topiaries , I wish they did more of them around the parks and not just for the Flower & Garden festival !

Awe the Poly my favorite hotel , we came very close to booking this for September but the DH wanted to stay at the WL & he doesn't ask for much so he got his pick ! Plus it saved money ! lol

Kona is soo yummy , never ate dinner there but did lunch & got the Kona Club and it was to die for !

No more resort merchandise ? Just when I realize there is such a thing and was looking forward to purchasing some in September , they take it away ! Keeping my fingers crossed it's still available in September !

Oooh! Prince Naveen would be something good to wish for! I bet many ladies would wish for him! Too cute! We all know Memom deserves a prince!:goodvibes

Oh, I do hope you guys head to Busch Gardens someday!! Maggie and I can be your grand tour guides. Maybe Rinky and anyone else in this part of the world would come meet up too!:goodvibes

We loved our 'Ohana dinner. The noodles are delish! Of course, I never had the potatoes to compare so...

I loved all the topiary pictures! I'm looking forward to seeing the F&G ones in a couple of weeks and then the Christmas ones this year too! Your pictures of the Poly made me smile-we sooooo loved our stay there last year!

LOL!!! Oh my goodness, I just love the picture of Bella trying to eat the bread!!!!! So precious!!!

Just a Bellarie update for anyone who isn't on facebook -

I feel really good after talking to Dr. Grant. He is a pediatric craniofacial plastic surgeon, which means he only does plastic surgery on small faces. He said normally he see these tumors on the outside of the eye not the inside like Bellarie's. He said he has done plenty of these surgeries and that if it were more on the bridge of her nose it would be more concerning. So now she is scheduled for surgery at Birmingham's Children's Hospital on April 26th. We have to wait a little longer than if we were doing it in Huntsville, but I'll wait for a doctor who specializes in this kind of surgery.

Now to focus on Bellarie's party and other fun stuff until surgery on the 26th.

Jill, glad you found a doctor that you will feel comfortable with. Waiting a little longer is definitely worth it for piece of mind. Good luck with everything

Fun update, Kona looks pretty yummy! We are almost to the Big Night.

Jill, I am glad you are happy with the 2nd opinion. That is one precsious little face that deserves only the best. On to the party-what is the date??
