Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

Those little girls are just darling as is Erika's little belly bump! It will be so fun to see the photos of that crew as they grow up having more playdates together.

Memom, I'll be hoping for a big fat tax return so we can maybe do an October meet-up at Disney. :goodvibes A girl can dream, right?

Rachel I'll be sure to say a prayer for your grandma and the rest of your family as your grandmother's time here on Earth is ending. May her passing be peaceful and you find comfort in each other and God.

____
Hope everyone else's Saturday is wonderful! We had an early morning workout at the gym. This afternoon I want to do a little shopping and some cleaning - and maybe even sewing!

You have a Super Saturday as well, MeMom! It's supposed to be sunny and in the 60's here today -- it will feel great!

I went to the grocery store, which is not much fun with the budget I have put myself on. When I get my head above water again, even making a normal grocery run is going to be pretty doggone exciting! :goodvibes

:lmao:
I have subbed a few times in DH's classroom. The students were once asking me if he is as difficult at home as he is at school. I told them the trick is to only believe 1/2 of what he says. They asked which half and I told them you can never be sure!

What a nice meet!

If only all kids were raised to listen and follow directions!

Enjoy your weather! We are in for a few more inches tomorrow (4-6 probably). We are at #6 for snowiest winter and pushing up with every storm. With a good 3-4 weeks left of our average winter, who knows where we will finish!

Some of our kids raised themselves, so they don't do well with being told what to do by any adults. I don't mind if they socialize at appropriate times, but some of them get out of control.

I'm sorry you are having more snow. I liked our snow days, but I am happy to see the sun again. It has been dismal here for weeks.

Looks like a fun DIS meet! It's great that you all live close enough to do that.

Erica's little guy is going to have his hands full with all those little girls!

I've see other TN Disers on the boards, but only Stasieki and a couple of others live in this immediate area. She's the only other one we've met up with, and it was a lot of fun. Hopefully, we will have more times to meet after her new baby arrives. :)

What a great visit! I love the attempts at getting the girls to all look at the camera at the same time! :rotfl:

I love series pictures like that. It helps show what it was really like. When we did the Disney party last spring with all the little cousins, it was hilarous trying to get all of them together and looking at the camera. One would escape and another would lose his balance and fall of them steps, etc. The grown-ups kept putting them back up there and they were all excited about their toys and candy. It was a circus, but it was a fun memory.

Still here! :) Not caught up yet, though...went back and read your TR from last summer - my girls enjoyed looking through the pictures: DD2 wanted to see more characters and DD6 loves POP, even though we haven't stayed there since she was 3...she keeps asking to go back! Now I'm back to getting caught up here :surfweb:

We are glad you are enjoying the pictures. We sure love taking them! Maybe our paths will cross at Pop one of these days. Did you see all the new stuff Pop is getting?

Erica met one of my teacher friends at school and they found out they are due a day apart.

My tax return will be welcomed, for sure. If there is any possible way for us to take a fall break trip, I'm sure we will be there. Jill loves going in October. She may have in mind for just her family to go, though, because they have done that before in October. We'll just have to see what the bank account holds and what Jill's work schedule does, etc.

Will you be driving through Nashville, by any chance? Maybe you are flying. If you come through here, we will definitely meet up!

Remember the time that he went to school the day of a HUGE game with a boot on his foot and crutches. The whole school was freaking out until he took it off at like 2:00 and said "I'm good. Let's get ready to play ball!"

Trying to catch up here. Reading that stopped me in my tracks and I laughed hard for a while.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

He sounds like quite the kidder. I have a few friends like that that and it is always interesting being around them as they "hook" in unsuspecting people with their antics.

Rachel - My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and Grandmother.

MeMom and Jill - Sounds like you guys had a nice little meet! Those three girls are so sweet! Hope you're all having a nice weekend. :)
Trent sounds like he would fit in well in our family too. We're often the people screaming and scaring people! It's a little bit of a madhouse around here most days! I woke up this morning and came downstairs, and my cousin is walking around yelling "cake pans!! Cake pans!!" ???? We like to push each other's buttons! ;) Actually, you're entire family sounds like ours! :)

This is a good place to come to seek prayers. There are many who are very willing to do that for you. When the mainstay of a family is gone, it is very hard on everyone. How blessed she has been to have such a big, loving family. God will take her home to be with Him, and He will give you comfort through the love of other family members and your sweet memories of times spent with her. I have watched three cancer deaths in my family, and it is a sick feeling as you try to go about your daily business as they are slowly passing away. She is moving on to her real reward for being the good person she has been, but you guys have to live with the pain of missing her. You'll be with her again forever, according to God's promise. We will be praying for you and holding you close in our thoughts. Please keep us posted and let us be there for you in spirit.

Thank you so much for your kind thoughts and prayers. My grandma is an amazing person who will sorely be missed by those who knew her. But she is headed to a better place, I am sure. My husband tells me that once someone makes the choice that it is time, much of their pain goes away. He'd know better than I would. I'm going to see her later tonight, so I'll have an update on how she is doing. Thanks again. :goodvibes

Thank you so much, I truly appreciate your prayers.

I hope you get to sew today! It's something I love to do but have not found the time to recently. enjoy!

how much longer do you have julie?? Its next month right?? Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly for you!

Very cute pic of all the girls together!

It's so nice to see my DIS friends together! :goodvibes

Punkin, it's wonderful that you got to spend time with Margot. She is adorable. :cutie:

Vandyfan, you are glowing with your baby bump. ;)

BrooklynnsMommy, I hope your time spent with your MIL is without any drama. I'm sure your girls will have a fun time at Chuckie Cheese. (Aaron always loved that place when he was young) :)

Memom, I know things will get better and I'm sure you'll get your fall trip! Too bad there isn't a money fairy who could come and take care of credit cards!

slightly obsessed, I will say a prayer for you and your gramma. I hope that she is comforted by all of her family she has around her. I feel so sad for your grampa. :grouphug:

He's not bad, I guess. I guess after 25 years, I'll keep him around. Just beware of what he might do to you if he meets you in Disney World.

We're probably not a group that should be followed in a reality show.
Then again, maybe we are. They make a lot of money, don't they?

We just had a school friend pass away last week. He was 47 and had battled cancer for ten years. He left a wife and two sons. He helped preach the funeral of another friend that same age about a year and a half ago. Every life has an end. We all need to keep that in mind. For some it may be days or weeks or months. For some it may be many, many years. Just a reminder to appreciate every day.

I bet I get to hear some drama stories tonight, however, I have not gotten any hiding out in the bathroom phone calls all day, so that could be a good sign.

Well, if Trent ends up in Orlando, I guess that would make visiting more likely. My thought is that we could get a room for a couple of nights and then maybe have a free bed for a couple more. We'll see.

*********************************

On Trent's job: He talked with the second in command, I guess it is, for a long time this afternoon. He said he is ready to get him down there as soon as possible, but he has to get it approved by the head honcho. Nothing is set in stone, but after the thord conversation with them, Trent feels good about it. It's driving Trent's mother a little nuts, though. I am not familiar with the business, but I'm ready for them to just say yes or no so he (read I :)) can relax.

Too funny MeMom! We were just talking about how our household should be the focus of a new reality show this morning! Me, my cousins, my auntie and now my cousin's boyfriend! It's a crazy house! But I bet if it were you guys Bella and Brooklyn would steal the show! :)

Good luck to Trent! Fingers crossed! :)

 to you! It seems like it's close to a done deal with Trent's new job.

I hope he get's it because it's what he wants but....I feel for you...;)

I hope they let him know soon so you (ahem both of you) can relax! :flower3:

:rotfl: A few years ago, I had my youngest daughter during her 6th grade year. She worried so the summer before about her friends "fussing" about the teacher (her mother!). My husband told her to just tell them, "Well, at least you don't have to go home with her!" :lmao:

MeMom---sounds like you have a fun meet.

We don't drive down through Nashville. :sad1: I75 is right outside our back door and we head straight down for a long way! We'll figure out a plan before long for a GTG!

Well, it seems like people will watch anything these days, so they might be crazy enough to watch us! Really, I wouldn't want anybody following me around with a camera night and day, not even for a ton of money. The reality show people really need to see is what goes on at my school, not in my home. That would be some real entertaiment!

Hopefully, these people wouldn't spend time on three interview sessions if they were not truly interested in Trent. We will hope for the best for everyone. :)

It'll be a big change. Trent and I have always been very close. To be honest, he's my dependable son. Drew does well to take care of himself, much less do much what I need him to do. Trent's just one of those standout guys. But, it is time for him to move on to a new and exciting stage of life. This seems like a great opportunity for him with a very reputable company, and he has a sweet girl who seems to adore him in his corner. What more could a mom want for a very deserving son? :goodvibes

We'll take turns traveling, and it'll all work out. He was talking with Jill about Skype last night. We'll all end up with that, I imagine.

That's what teachers say to each other about some students - "Thank heavens we don't have to take him/her home!" ;)

It was fun. I did not know Erica was coming, so that was a nice surprise. She is having a baby shower today, so this will be a fun day for her. I remember just looking at all my new baby stuff and imagining the little person that was going to be wearing/using them. It is truly an exciting time on a ne mommy's life. :lovestruc

We (us and the hippo) will be up for a meet any time. :thumbsup2

After the arcade time,

and while Jill, John, Trent, and Jarvis were out enjoying Hollywood Studios,

and while Drew was still snoozing away,

the girls and I did some shopping.

because

her MeMom thought she needed a little rubber Disney bus. :)

Brooklynn got something, too, but I can't remember what. I think she got the first Disney bus in the pictures above. Maybe Jill will remember.

When the big people got back, Jill decided they would hang out at Pop for a while, so I decided I'd go to Animal Kingdom to take pictures. I asked Drew if he wanted to go, and he did.

I love this tree every time I see it.

I wish we could borrow these Pooh characters for Bella's party.

I mean, they're just in storage until November anyway, right?

This is as far as I can go right now. Gotta start my day.

I love that Disney Clue game that looks so cute!

I love all of your shopping pictures!! I get so excited looking at them thinking I will be spending my money in WDW soon :lmao:

Great pic of the AK tree!

i was going to get the squishy bus and monorail for caleb...but i simply forgot about them...oh well...he came home with enough! LOL!

Oh, I want that Clue game. I loved Clue as a child and Disney Clue sounds even better. I'll have to see if I can find one of those.

I love that AK tree as well. You know, it might just be my favorite Disney Chrismtas tree. I think the ornaments on it are gorgeous and I love the animal theme. Also at the top of my list would be the big tree in WS. I love all the country themed ornaments on that one.:santa:
