Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

I'm glad to hear Trent had a good trip. He and Jamie are too cute together.:lovestruc
If the move is meant to happen it will happen if it isn't meant to happen then it won't. Where would he move to exactly? I lived in Altamonte Springs for 10 years. Right near Orlando (only 35 minutes away from disney.) yet still out of the tourist town, which he will appreciate.
Cute pictures of the girls playing in the snow. I love Brooklynn's 'snow' angel.:lovestruc She looks awfully proud of her work!
Mitch and Trent could be great friends. Mitch always jokes around with those kinds of things. Luckily, he hasn't adopted any families yet (and I hope he doesn't get any ideas) but he said some crazy things in May.:scared1::sad2:

That picture of ToT is great! Just looking at it gives me the feeling in my stomach of being ready to plunge into darkness. Eek!! I love that you all adopted the family. LOL!!

I love that ride! :thumbsup2

I love that Trent adopted that family! :lmao: His being really convincing reminds me a lot of Charles. He'll say something and be completely serious about it, and act annoyed when you question it. Just when you're thinking, "hmmm, maybe he IS telling the truth," he'll laugh and say he's just kidding. It's not just me being gullible, either, he still gets his brother and the rest of his family!

Those birds are huge! I thought I was well on my way to developing an intense fear of birds on this trip, because the seagulls especially really bothered me. We had a quick snack at the Lunching Pad yesterday afternoon, and when the table next to us got up for a minute, leaving the remains of their turkey leg, seagulls swooped down and devoured it all in about thirty seconds. That family was not happy when they got back! I felt kind of bad but I wasn't about to shoo those birds away. They were ruthless!

Disney birds are so used to people that they have little fear. I have seen people get swooped on before, and I know it is not wise to leave your food unattended.

Oh, those birds were large, weren't they? But they looked like they were just minding their own business, having a great time walking around POP.

Those guys of yours are so funny - I was laughing so hard on NYE watching their antics. :rotfl: What a hoot they are!

They were having a good time on NYE. This year, you get to see wigd and whatever entertainment she brings to the Poly. :goodvibes

Ahhhh, he tried to tell me something about Mario Lopez (who I think is soooo cute) and I thought he was being serious, but he did not convince me at all because I KNEW it wasn't true (couldn't be :scared1:) but he did sound very convincing! I'll have to remember this for the future

It's probably safe to believe about 33% of what he says.

MeMom, will you do the honors of posting pics on my PTR that I send you on the phone?

I have no idea how to do it. I would, if I knew how. I just have a cheap phone, and I don't know how to do anything fancy with it. If someone can tell me step-by-steo what to do, I will be glad to try. :)

Trent sounds like he's a fun guy to be around! He reminds me of my crazy cousin.

I love the pics of Bella and the fries. I also like how you always have the girls in matching attire. Girl clothes are way more cuter than boy clothes. My DS is 9 and the clothes definitely aren't cute any more.

Bless your heart if you have a cousin like Trent.
No, he's a good guy. We like him okay. ;)

No photos. That was back before my DIS days. We are talking seriously about an October trip - are you guys still pondering it?

I'll get the photos uploaded at naptime!!

It'll be a miracle if I get to do anything, but we'll hope for a miracle. Once I get my income tax back and pay down this stupid credit card, maybe I can talk about future trips. I'm not used to carrying a balance, but I got over my head with the summer, October, and December trips, and I have to get rid of it.

The adopted family story is HYSTERICAL! Has there ever been a time it's backfired on you guys?

Have fun with the girls today!

I guess nobody's been too scared of any of us yet.
Or maybe they're too scared not to go along with us! :crazy2:

Aileen is not a kid who likes pureed baby food. So we've been struggling to come up with things that are mushy enough for a new eater, but have some nutritional value. Last night I made homemade potato wedges and decided to see what Aileen thought. I think she had a similar opinion as Bella did!

Some TV executive needs to put these sweet babies to work selling their fries!

It is so much fun to ride TOT with people who are riding for their first time. It is my favorite ride anyway.

The first time our friend, Kay, rode it, her backpack floated up in mid-air because she didn't secure it. It was hilarious!

Aileen is a little doll. Bella and Aileen need to meet at Disney for a french fry eating contest.

I hope that we will meet Mop and all the little Moplets someday. :goodvibes

We like to do this in the Haunted Mansion. You have to scream really loud though to be heard over the sound track :goodvibes

Maybe you can ride with Erica someday. That's her ride!

Just adorable! I think Aileen and Bella would love to enjoy some Casey's fries together!:goodvibes

Sounds good to me. I hope that will happen. :thumbsup2

Wow, those birds were large!! :scared1:

Those poor girls on TOT! I can't believe he put them on the front row! Shame on him! :lmao:

I just realized where the Goofy pop jets were when I saw your picture. I had no idea they were right there and we walked by them everyday! I never went looking for them b/c I thought they were way over on the other side.:sad2:

Well, I'm glad you know where they are now, so you'll be ready for your next trip. Brooklynn loves the Goofy jets.

I feel the same way when I do Wii boxing :rotfl2:

I wouldn't have made it 38 seconds. She was punching away!

I think he might have said Winter Park, but don't quote me on that.

I guess he'll find out tomorrow. To be honest, I don't see it happening. I think if they were going to offer him the job, they would have done it within a day or two. I'm afraid he's in for a disappointment tomorrow. If he doesn't get it, then I guess he'll just stay here until something comes along that is right for him.

I was happy to have a lot of great company at school this afternoon. Jill's crew came, follwed about 5-10 minutes later by Dawn, Margot, and Erica.

Dawn and her sweet girl.

Margotmeet2-19-2010001.jpg

Margot is a walking machine. She wanted to be outside the door running around with my students.

Margotmeet2-19-2010002.jpg

We tried to get them all to look at once, but you know how hard that is with kids.

We had a great time seeing Dawn and Erica. They have a big weekend planned. I guess next time we see Erica, she will have a new little boy for us to ooh and aah over.

Sounds like a nice DIS meet. I wish there were some DISERS in my area but I haven't found one yet.
I know what you mean about getting little ones to all look at the camera even one is hard. Brooklynn and Bella should know to smile for your little black box.:rotfl2:

Looks like lots of fun at school today! Have fun with your girls tonight! I can't wait to hear what you have planned!

Maybe you can ride with Erica someday. That's her ride!

Oh...I've never tried that before....might be very fun!! :upsidedow

It was great to see you guys!! I'm glad it all worked out :goodvibes

All three of those girls were too cute! Brooklynn was SO funny bossing your kiddo's around. Margot was precious and I can't believe she's and Bella are almost a year, and Bella's CUTE smiles are just priceless!!

Awwww, cute pictures from today!!!! All those sweet babies!!!!!

I told Dawn next time I am gonna be a stowaway!!! lol!!! :goodvibes

Sooooo cute! and I know it's been said a million times, But does Bella know how to do anything other than smile?? jeez! :):):):):):):):) she is just beaming in every picture! I love it!

Fingers still crossed for Trent that it all works out- i am a big believer in "if it's meant to be, it will be". I will say this- i am starting a new job on Monday that I interviewed 3 different times for- one interview lasted over 2 hours :scared1: I was completely out of things to talk about. And the first interview was over a month ago, so you never know. and if it is Winter Park, then that is a very pretty place to visit!

Have a great weekend!!!!

He is a maniac, but sometimes he can tell you things so convincingly, you think they are real. He used to call me with things like, "Meet me at the hospital. I've broken my fill-in-the-blank with some random bone." He would go into detail about what happened during basketball or soccer practice, and then when I had my keys in hand about ready to walk out the door, he'd say, "Psyche! What's for dinner?"

I've killed him in my mind a few dozen times! :)[/B]

Remember the time that he went to school the day of a HUGE game with a boot on his foot and crutches. The whole school was freaking out until he took it off at like 2:00 and said "I'm good. Let's get ready to play ball!"

:rotfl:I needed a laugh and those stories certainly did it! I would never be able to pull off those types of jokes. I'd start giggling about 10 seconds in.

I've been in lurker mode lately, but I've loved the updates! Bella's french fry scavenge and Brooklynn's snow angel were especially cute!

I hope you all don't mind but I have a prayer request:flower3: My grandma went to Hospice last Saturday and we are expecting she will pass in the next week or so. She's an amazing woman and the core of our very large family (52 and babies still to come!). Not surprising, it's been especially difficult for my grandpa, and I know it will only be more so once she passes. They've been married for 65 years. I'm just hoping she has minimal pain in her last days and that Grandpa pulls through. I'd appreciate any prayers you could send our way. Thanks. :goodvibes

Aw, that's so cool you got to meet up with Dawn and Erica! :yay: Looks like it was a fun day!

Your Dis-meet photos were lovely - such sweet little girls. princess: princess: princess:
Hope you're all enjoying your weekend - I wonder what Disney friends the girls will be playing with/watching today?

Great pictures of your Dis meet, the girls looked like they were more interested in the Disney toys, than having their pictures made. I can't blame them.

What a sweet and pretty bunch of girls (all six of them)! I bet you had a wonderful time visiting together!

They are all beautiful girls in many ways. We had fun talking out in the hall while my kids were playing right outside the door. When my students left, I walked them around my school and they met a few teacher friends. When I introduced them as my Disney friends, I think every one of them smiled a big smile. My Disney love is not a secret. :)

We have met so many nice, nice people through the DIS.

Brooklynn is a seasoned veteran when it comes to my camera. Sometimes she looks at Bella now, though. Bella cheeses it up for a minute, but then she's ready to move on. Margot made it clear she wanted to be outside with those big kids. Every time Dawn put her down, she went straight for the door!

Looks like lots of fun at school today! Have fun with your girls tonight! I can't wait to hear what you have planned!

They are going to meet John's family this morning to go to Chuck E. Cheese. This is a make-up day for a visit John's parents got snowed out of a few weeks ago. I'm going to the grocery store while they are gone. I'm not sure what they have on the agenda for tonight. Brooklynn and I watched Toy Story last night after Bella went to sleep and Jill and John went to Target. We're very exciting people.

I'm glad it worked out, too! Brooklynn couldn't understand why those kids didn't do exactly what I told them to do. I said sit down, be quiet, and listen to announcements. How hard is that??? :upsidedow A three year old can understand, obviously!

Awwww, cute pictures from today!!!! All those sweet babies!!!!!

I told Dawn next time I am gonna be a stowaway!!! lol!!! :goodvibes

The girl next to me had her baby there, too. They were traveling to see family in Indiana, so her husband picked up their daughter and met her at school to leave from there. We had a hallway full of little ones!

What a cute group of girls! Looks like you had a fun Friday! Happy Weekend!

It was great to see Erica and Dawn. A special afternoon, indeed! :thumbsup2

I guess today is going to be a big day for all of us as we wait for word. If he doesn't get this one, I guess he will try for others, but it's going to require more travel and more money, so I hope he doesn't have a lot of trouble finding something.

Rachel

This is a good place to come to seek prayers. There are many who are very willing to do that for you. When the mainstay of a family is gone, it is very hard on everyone. How blessed she has been to have such a big, loving family. God will take her home to be with Him, and He will give you comfort through the love of other family members and your sweet memories of times spent with her. I have watched three cancer deaths in my family, and it is a sick feeling as you try to go about your daily business as they are slowly passing away. She is moving on to her real reward for being the good person she has been, but you guys have to live with the pain of missing her. You'll be with her again forever, according to God's promise. We will be praying for you and holding you close in our thoughts. Please keep us posted and let us be there for you in spirit.

Aw, that's so cool you got to meet up with Dawn and Erica! :yay: Looks like it was a fun day!

It was. Dawn knows how to do the phone pictures, I think, and Erica probably does, too. Maybe they can teach me how to do it, and if I can't from my phone, maybe they'll do it from theirs. We will get your pictures up somehow.

The girls will be playing with Chuck E. Cheese friends today. I'm guessing there will be plenty of kids there for Brooklynn to run around with. She makes friends easily.

Hope you all have a Super Saturday! :cool1:
We are finally getting a break in the weather. We have had sunshine for two days in a row, and we hit the 50's in temperatures. It feels so good.

I
It's probably safe to believe about 33% of what he says.

:lmao:
I have subbed a few times in DH's classroom. The students were once asking me if he is as difficult at home as he is at school. I told them the trick is to only believe 1/2 of what he says. They asked which half and I told them you can never be sure!

What a nice meet!

Brooklynn couldn't understand why those kids didn't do exactly what I told them to do. I said sit down, be quiet, and listen to announcements. How hard is that??? :upsidedow A three year old can understand, obviously!

If only all kids were raised to listen and follow directions!

Enjoy your weather! We are in for a few more inches tomorrow (4-6 probably). We are at #6 for snowiest winter and pushing up with every storm. With a good 3-4 weeks left of our average winter, who knows where we will finish!

Looks like a fun DIS meet! It's great that you all live close enough to do that.

Erica's little guy is going to have his hands full with all those little girls!

Glad to have you. I hope we don't scare you away too quickly. If you can tough it out through the first few crazy pictures or corny jokes, you usually fit right in with our bunch! :goodvibes

Still here! :) Not caught up yet, though...went back and read your TR from last summer - my girls enjoyed looking through the pictures: DD2 wanted to see more characters and DD6 loves POP, even though we haven't stayed there since she was 3...she keeps asking to go back! Now I'm back to getting caught up here :surfweb:
