Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

I enjoyed seeing your Pop pictures this morning :goodvibes I just love it there! I really missed staying there when we went this past September!

Yes, you need to go check out our place. ::yes::

We're trying to be there at every holiday at least once. Next up - Mother's Day! :cool1:

I'd like to get over to POP to for one of there famous pieces of Cheesecake ! :mickeybar

That would be cool to do every Holiday :thumbsup2 We've only been there for Easter & Memorial Day , still pretty cool but also very busy !

please do! i hope you see him/her too. last time i checked they didn't know if it was a boy or a girl because mama was holding it so close to her, but they may have figured it out since then. i just think they are amazing animals to watch. they're so expressive and you have to wonder what they are thinking when they are gazing back at us.

Dawn I will be at AK one month from today so I will try and get some pics also:thumbsup2

The fireworks video brought me back there. So amazing. We tried to go to DHS but the bus never came from the Poly. I think we waited a good while,
saw some drunks or near drunks finally walked to the TTC and took the monorail but I think we went to MK to get back to CSR.

Next morning was wet but we braved EPCOT.
:rotfl::rotfl: i think it a face in the top of his backpack!!!!
Sorry it is blurry but I running to keep up with him.

We wandered around Innoventions and Mousegears used our 20 % off coupon.

After I looked at the sky and determined that a ride on ellen's Energy adventure would cure the rain. When we came out it had stopped raining.

Look Blue sky!

We encountered more drunks that afternoon. ( yes, they are on Jordan's report)

We are having a few rough weeks here at work. Budget cuts and reductions have everyone on pins and needles. I am trying to keep up with some reports and some will have to wait a bit.
Have a great week. Find those Disney moments wherever you can.

I had a moment getting lunch at the local supermarket yesterday. I walked up to the Deli counter and the store music was from the French movie in EPCOT!!!
I went to my happy place! :goodvibes
I felt my blood pressure go down and my whole body just relax. I ordered my sandwich and actually wandered around until the song was over!
That moment and my 4 parks CD are keeping me sane right now.

Interesting backpack.

I don't guess we saw any drunk people. At least, I can't recall anybody doing anything out of the ordinary.

I agree. If you get a little touch of Disney in the day, it will be better for your health - sanity, blood pressure, and all. :thumbsup2

Yes they are! And you know what's cool? You saw it in person. :)

That I did. :)

No better way to start 2010 than in WDW!! I love your morning Pop pictures especially the Ping Pong table--so artistic! All those breakfast photos are making me very very hungry though!!

I thought the ping pong table looked kind of cool like that.

I have to get over and catch up on your report. I briefly saw today that you had put pictures up, but I can't see them from school. I'm headed over there tonight to see all the fun.

What a cute picture of Jill and Bella in their rain poncho.

Aren't they cuties?!?!? :lovestruc

I'm always glad to hear that people enjoy the pictures. I try to make it easy for you to 'be there' through the pictures, and that's why I take some different pictures, like 'the view from where I sat' or just some common item.

I hope you get a perfect piece. I have had some dry ones, but I have had some really moist ones. Either way, they are fun to it just because they are so different, but I want a first-time taster to get a great one. :hippie:

Holidays are busy, but on a teacher's schedule, we've just become accustomed to it.

I hope you see her!
You'll be walking those paths just a little bit before us! :cool1:

Aw, I just love morning pictures from Pop!!!

I never did see that ping pong table! Well, I didn't get hardly anywhere at Pop like I wanted too! I wanted to go to the generation gap bridge but never even made it there!

Oooh! How exciting for Erica!! :) I figured I would be hearing the news when I came home from my trip at the end of April! Best wishes and prayers!

In all the times I've been to AK and been on the safari I have never seen the ostriches! Now I have another goal to add to the list for this trip! :)

A few more Animal Kingdom pictures before I get in some more replies.

If it is raining outside, we can still shop inside, right? ;)

We'll let you know. We'll send a big old silverback gorilla to knock on your door and tell you to check in on the report. That'll be your signal that we have pictures up. :)

Go, Erica! She's in such great shape, I imagine she'll have an easy delivery and bounce right back.

The ping pong table is right in front of the Hippy Dippy pool, right across from Petals. I bet you walked by it and just didn't pay attention. What building were you in?

Isn't that strange, because we see ostriches almost every time. They used to have zebras out there, too, and then we noticed here weren't any on one trip. We didn't really think too much about it, but then the next trip they weren't there either. We were told they had all been moved to AKL.

:rotfl: okay! i wonder what the doggies will think of the gorilla at the front door?

My favorite theme park gift shop -- Mombasa!!! :lovestruc

And you took pictures of my favorite Animal Kingdom souvenirs -- all that hand-painted pottery! I love the two pieces I have bought on previous trips!

I bet Brooklyn is a superb African drummer!

Those carved giraffes remind me of my father-in-law.

This year, for Christmas, he pulled my DH's aunt's name when we drew names for gifts. WELL, he really outdid himself by buying her a 6 foot tall giraffe carving imported from Africa!!! He is a joker and he was going for laughs there, but she LOVED it and couldn't wait to find a place for the giraffe in her house and show the giraffe off to all her friends. Then, DH's grandma was eyeing the giraffe, so my FIL went out and bought ANOTHER 6 foot tall giraffe for her! I keep thinking we're going to see one show up on our doorstep!

Hey guys just wanted to post update here too.....

My BP has been a little high over the last several weeks. The Dr has been watching me and I haven't had any protein in my urine or anything which is good. Today when they first took my BP it was 140/100ish.....about 3mins later laying down it was 120/80 which is normal.

But she wanted me to go to the hospital and just be monitored. She told me that I would be there about 1-1 1/2 hrs the would take my BP a few times, monitor the baby and do some bloodwork.

My BP was fine....the baby was perfect, which they have said everytime he's been monitored! But my blood work came back a little off. They said my platelets were low and my AST levels were slightly elevated. Some of you may be in the medical field and know exactly what those are and could explain better. I just know they are worried about toxemia and said it can progress really fast. The Dr (on call) that decided to admit me, said she could just be over-reacting and I might be going home tomorrow. But that it was 'safe' for me to stay here and be watched.

SO.....they are going to check my blood again in the morning. See what the changes are and go from there.

So please say a prayer that I DO get to go home tomorrow!!! I don't want this baby here....not yet at least!! I would like for him to cook as long as he possibly can!!!

I appreciate everyone's thoughts and we'll keep you updated :goodvibes

That little boy needs to be patient and wait his turn - swans and staskei get to have their princesses first!

Be sure and have the camera ready, because we will all want to see!

I didn't know that was your favorite, or maybe I knew it and didn't remember it. I did know you liked the African stuff. I do, too. The painted dishes are very cool and would make for a neat table setting for a fun AK party. :)

Brooklynn loves to drum when we go in there. I bet Bella will be ready to join her on one of our next couple of trips.

I always want to buy a carving of some kind when I go in Ziwadi at AKL. I don't have any place to put that stuff in my Wilderness Lodge/Old Key West/Polynesian house, though.

Exciting news for Erica!
An April 1 birthday would be kind of fun....
:goodvibes

We'll be awaiting a new little DIS family boy very soon. I was surprised when I got the message from Dawn, though, because I didn't think it was quite time. I knew it was supposed to be much closer to our Mary Poppins day.

If he does come early, he'll be fine - maybe a little skinnier than you thought, but of course we want him to wait until he's fully ready and you're fully ready. ;) Two baby stories of girls from the school we grew up with - one had her baby very early at 2 lbs. and I think it was 12 oz. He did wonderfully well and just came home this week. He's about 4 1/2 pounds right now. Cute little guy, and he just did so well! Another girl had her baby in the car on the way to the hospital! She had been earlier and been sent home because they didn't think she was ready. Turns out maybe she was! :rotfl:

Anyway, you have lots of thoughts and prayers from your DIS friends, so just relax, hang out, enjoy your prep time before your newest family member comes on the scene to make your life crazy, chaotic, messy, expensive, and WONDERFUL! :dance3:

That little boy needs to be patient and wait his turn - swans and staskei get to have their princesses first!

This group just grows and grows and grows! Isn't it awesome??? :yay:

Yes, shopping while raining is a great way to pass the time!! :thumbsup2

I thought Handy Mandy spoke Spanish?! :confused3 :rotfl:

Those drums can just not be avoided by little ones, can they? So cute! :) Look at all of those ponchos!
