Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

Another girl had her baby in the car on the way to the hospital! She had been earlier and been sent home because they didn't think she was ready. Turns out maybe she was! :rotfl:

One of my bosses at Shea's (my internship) had a baby boy last Tuesday...His wife told him when he left for work to be ready to come back and get her at any time, well he got to work and got the phone call and had to go back home to get her...but they didn't make it to the hospital in time...they delivered Grayson "Van" Ruff in the back of their mini-van!

Erica's little boy will be arriving by C-section later today. :cool1:

Keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she delivers our happy, healthy new little DIS baby!

Just got on and see all the news on Erica. Best of luck on the arrival of your baby boy. I know it will all go very good. Please keep us all posted. Lots of prayers are coming your way.

Shopping is a nice way to pass this time when it's raining.
Keep us updated on Erica. I'm so happy for them and their little prince. Having an April Fools day birthday will be fun.

I hope you get a perfect piece. I have had some dry ones, but I have had some really moist ones. Either way, they are fun to it just because they are so different, but I want a first-time taster to get a great one. :hippie:

Holidays are busy, but on a teacher's schedule, we've just become accustomed to it.

Awe thanks MeMom

Very true teacher's really don't have a choice when to go weather it be super hott or busy . They have to go when the kids are out , although I do believe DS6 teachers get a little bit more time than others since there a DOD school :)

Great update :thumbsup2 You know I absolutely love shopping pictures

It's so strange to see everyone in ponchos and boy was it raining lol

Funny, I know this picture was made Jan 1, but this is how everyone looked at Animal Kingdom during my most recent trip on March 21! :umbrella:

Now, a confession to make---I have never, once, in nine trips, covering nine years, gone in any of the gift shops at Animal Kingdom!

Great AK pics MeMom! I'm not a huge fan of AK but seeing your pictures makes me want to explore it a little more on my next trip!

That is so cool that you have an internship at Shea's! We are going to see Jersey Boys there at the end of the month :yay:

Sorry for the hijack MeMom!

Absolutely! He is probably here by now but I will say a prayer that she is doing plenty of cuddling right now and has no time to tell us of his arrival!

Liam was born after me showing signs of pre-eclampsia so I remember just how quickly things go. Guess this little man will want to be first all the time! ;)

just wanted to let memom/brooklynnsmommy readers that have been following along with erica's situation know that i talked to her around 2:00 my time (1:00 her time) today and she sounded good. she did sound a little sleepy but she said she felt great. they have her c-section scheduled for 4:00 today, which is actually right this very minute. i will update when i hear anything else. keep erica and her little april fool's baby in your prayers! :goodvibes

I've never been into the Mombasa shop in AK! I'll have to make sure to stop in there next time. Those masks are really cool. Will the drummer featured in this update be there too? I'd love to hear her play :thumbsup2

Yayyy for Erica! Thanks for keeping us updated MeMom!

An Erica update, for those following along - he's 6 lbs. 11 oz. He is having a little trouble breathing, so they put him in NICU. I am sure Dawn will have information on her Community Board thread as soon as she gets it. I think his name was going to be William Matthew, but I can't say that is for sure. Keep them close in thought - that he is breathing on his own very, very soon. :)

Praying for baby William. He is a good size being so early. Praying that his breathing is just be monitored because he is so early.

He is a nice sized baby boy! It's good to know he is being taken care of by capable folks and will be in his mother's arms very soon!

Yes, shopping while raining is a great way to pass the time!!

I thought Handy Mandy spoke Spanish?! :rotfl:

He does on my school bulletin board. It's one of the ways I injected some Disney into my room - Handy Manny teaches is Spanish phrases. :) If Ihttp://www.wdwinfo.com/images/smilies/goodvibes.gif get the African Handy Manny, maybe my kids can become trilingual!!! :thumbsup2

Those drums can just not be avoided by little ones, can they? So cute! :) Look at all of those ponchos!

No.
They must be played by anyone ten and under that walks by. :goodvibes

Whoa! I hope all our DIS girls make it to the hospital with plenty of time to spare!

Keep the prayers coming. Dawn said Erica's friend, Melissa, was headed to the hospital, so maybe we'll get an update soon.

I think he's already started being a mischievous little boy - messing with his Mommy like this!

It seems like we make the rain appear when we go to AK. I'd say we've been in that park during rainy times more than any other park.

The boy was ready. Hoping and praying that all goes well!

Hopefully we'll get some news in an hour or so.

I had to read that twice.

No, three times.

Like CP, I eeked!

:faint:

Promise me you will go in the ones on Discovery Island and in Africa when you are there in May.

I eeked, but didn't faint. I was at school, and I think my kids would have just stepped on me if I had.

Yes, spend lots of time exploring this wonderful park. ::yes::

You can really empathize with the day she has had.

We should have done some video of our little drummer girl. Maybe next time. Maybe Mother's Day. :thumbsup2

Wow... those are seriously the best fireworks pictures I've seen yet!

Definitely spectacular and worthy of NYE!!

Kathy

They were pretty incredible.

I am not sure he's William, but I saw that as a guess on a poll she was taking, and it seemed like a lot of people close to her were saying that. We'll know soon.

I am hoping to hear from Dawn soon, whenever Melissa gets out there and knows more about how both Erica and the baby are doing. Erica posted on FB in the last couple of days that she was bored. I guess the little man decided to make life a little more exciting for her!

Those stinker little boys! Shame on that baby for giving his momma a breathing scare like that! I hope he gets everything under control soon and I will continue to pray!

update on erica!

first of all, i was incorrect with the weight. he's 6 pounds, 14 oz. so even better! great size for being not quite 37 weeks yet!

erica called me about 45 minutes ago. she said she was very tired but sounded really good. she said the little guy has a tube draining his lungs but he IS breathing on his own and they just have him hooked up to oxygen to be safe. so that's good news! there is no official name yet - i think william matthew was top on the list but they hadn't decided for sure yet. she wants to wait until she sees him before she decides. when she told me that i said, "YOU HAVEN'T SEEN HIM YET?" and she said she only saw him for a minute right after he was born, but she was getting ready to go see him up in the NICU. i hope she can have him in the room with her by sometime tomorrow. anyway, everyone is doing well. i'm sure by now she's seen him and got to spend some time with him and he may have a name by now. she said for now she's calling him, "no name baby."
