Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

Tink9721 It breaks my heart that when we have kids, they won't personally know her or my mother-in-law, who passed fairly suddenly too. But it's nice to remember the good times and those kids can know your aunt through you and the stories you tell them. :goodvibes

Jill - so glad to hear about the second opinion and new surgery date. :goodvibes I'll be thinking of Bella and can't wait for the party pics!

MeMom love the updates! I almost bought the Mickey picture frame with the different wood tones. I still may have a friend pick it up for me when she goes in June.... :rolleyes1

It will be very special and sweet for you to help your kids know about people who came and left before them that are a part of who they are. You can honor their memories in many ways and look forward to being with them forever when that time comes.

I forgot I was going to mention that I almost bought that frame too!

I do that so often when I see other people's pictures. I think about how I stood there and looked at something and thought about buying it, but didn't.

Here's the thing....I had no idea you guys were going to be there for a Dismeet. So, I recall watching the fireworks from Dave and Kathy's room the year before so I figured I would do it again this year. Now, you guys were the ONLY people I knew who were in Disney for New Years. Along with Dave's feed is an on-going comment/text on what's going on. I joined in and found there was another Disser on. I jokingly said..."Where's Memom??? Dave if you see Memom pass by, tell her I said HI!" I had absolutely no idea you guys were really there....and then when I saw Trent...I freaked out. Then I realized you all were actually right there...and the little round light-up necklace thingy was actually Brookie....ohhhh what an exciting discovery...I think I posted about it on the wrong thread and everything! Then I realized everyone else knew you guys were there :rolleyes1 Oh well...it was still so exciting to see you guys and Trent and Jarvis were cracking me up! :rotfl2:

I love how Bella is asleep in daddy's lap whilst daddy is playing football...so cute!

So that was you! I just remember sitting there and hearing Dave read something about MeMom in a low voice, and then he raised his voice a little and said, "MeMom is right here!" Brooklynn was indeed the little girl in lights.

anna called me today. she and luke had spent the afternoon watching "the princess and the frog" for the first time and they both absolutely loved it. she said they were dancing to the awesome music in the living room. she said something about seeing it made her to want to go to disney to see the characters. i sent her the link to your pics and video of brooklynn and bella meeting princess tiana and prince naveen. she thought it was SO CUTE! just wanted to share that she and luke really enjoyed the pictures and video! :goodvibes

I'm glad they got to see the movie and enjoyed it. I hope Luke is doing well with the transitions. Hopefully, there will be another Disney trip in his future.

Oh I wish I could have spent NYE on the Poly Beach with you guys! Looks like you had tons of fun.

Best wishes for Bella's surgery Jill. You guys will stay in my thoughts and prayers!

I know Brook would have enjoyed it more if Joe and Henry had been there earlier. They were running a little late, so they didn't get to see fireworks with us from the beach. They got there right at the end, if I remember correctly. They had seen them in transit. Henry was asleep.

It was a nice night on the beach. The temperature was good for just lightweight jackets, so we weren't bundled up and freezing like a couple of the other nights on that trip.

I missed that dancing on the webcast but I did here about it the next day. Wish I has scene it.

Well, I've tried to catch up, but your TRs just move too quickly! :)

Your dinner at Kona sounds and looks yummy! I can't wait to try dinner there during our May trip. We've had breakfast there, but never dinner. I must have looked at the menu and drooled about a hundred times in anticipation of it!

The NYE DIS meet looked like so much fun!---Much less crowded than my NYE over at the Studios that night. :crowded::crowded::crowded:

I'm so glad you and Jill have worked it out so that you can leave on Thursday for your Mother's Day trip. Extra time at Disney is always good. :goodvibes

Wonderful news that Jill has found another doctor that she feels more comfortable with. I'm sure that everything will work out fine.

Wow Kona looks great. I must book there when we go again. Whats funny is your pictures of NYE look familiar to me. LOL. Just from watching it on the webcam. That was so fun even if my non-disney husband thought it was weird for me to watch.:lmao:

You must have an honorary nursing degree, huh? Is next week braces week?

I wish! Maybe they would increase my pay then? More Disney money! Braces were this Monday. Boy oh boy has that been an adventure. I'll get a picture of the adoption and my new little tin grins posted this weekend. :goodvibes

We changed our trip date to just after Thanksgiving last week. Looks like we would miss each other by 24 hours with that potential plan! Bummer!

We'll have to wave as we pass each other on I75 or maybe figure out a place to eat lunch together or somthing?!

To me, it didn't seem like NYE was as crowded as July 4th. Jill may have a different opinion, though.

I'll try to get away from school as quickly as possible that Thursday. I think she's pretty much planning on us leaving as soon as I get there. We'll get some sleep in GA and then be checked into Pop by lunchtime. :thumbsup2

I enjoyed watching the fireworks even on the computer last NYE. Dave was such a gracious host and answered the multitude of questions people were asking. He even went down to the beach to try to move a palm tree branch that was obstructing the view a little bit. He actually said something about that this NYE.

Oh, I thought this week was the consultation part.
You have had a busy week!

It'll be much less crowded for you, then. We may go during Christmas break. It just depends what Jill and Trent decide they want to do.If I had a choice of Trent being home at Thanksgiving or Christmas, I'd pick Christmas, but whatever he can do and they want to do is fine with me.

If we drive, we would probably start home on Saturday evening and finish out Sunday morning pretty early. Traffic coming home last year on Sunday night was really, really bad.

Here are some of Drew's pictures from New Year's Eve.

Yes, it was spectacular!

And here is a picture of the whole group.

Brook & Henry, Kathy, her daughter, Jill & the girls, me, Katie, her sister, John, Trent, Drew, and Jarvis. Dave was back there with me, but over to the side, so you can't see him.

Wow! Those fireworks look amazing!!! I bet that was the perfect way to ring in 2010! Great pictures of the girls and the big group one! That monorail shot is pretty spiffy, too! :thumbsup2

Those pictures are just beautiful....

I hope you had a good first week back after break!

Amazing photographs Drew!
Sneaky peaky pic MeMom!;) I'm not the least bit surprised though...
I love the picture of Bella!

Hi MeMom! :goodvibes

I'm so glad Bella will be in good hands for her surgery.
You should have complete faith and trust in her doctor, so kuddos to you for finding the right one.

I took Lexi to Birmingham for tests when she was less than a month old.
The doctors at the Children's Hospital were great. I was very impressed.
I will be praying for everything to go well

I've been sooo busy, work and more work! I did get a raise.....:thumbsup2

Me too! I was there chatting and watching the NYE show! :yay:
It was so fun to see glimpses of Brooklynn in her glow necklace.
We even got to see Bella when Trent brought her to the camera!
Trent was hilarious! I was laughing so much when he and Jarvis performed.....I kept thinking....they are having the best time!
I wanted to be there on the beach with you.

I really hope you are there for NYE 2012!
Maybe I'll splurge for a room at Poly....we can meet there....for one night ....

I wonder how much it would be?

I can't wait to cut into one of those teriyaki steaks of my own at Kona in 5 months.
I'm eating there because of your great reviews.
I'm sure it won't disapoint. :woohoo:

It's gotten chilly here, gotta go put on a sweater.....:cold:

I havn't gone anywhere yet...seems that you added an update as I was typing.
Drew's pics are FABULOUS!!!
I love the hibiscus pics!
The fireworks ones are beautiful!

Does anyone know what happened to my ticker?

Oh....not good...I found the answer for myself....(insert scary face)....LOL

Ta Da! New ticker!!! LOL

Wow!!! That is really all I can say about Drew's pictures!! I just love the fireworks he got!! I never can get any good firework pictures!

Holy cow MeMom!! You have an amazing photographer on your hands! Does Drew take classes or is he just self taught? I just love the Poly and fireworks photos. All of them! They are SO frame worthy. Just wow! I'm onto your tricks though MeMom, just barely peeking around the group like that. ;)
