Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

Boy I can only imagine the tough spot you are in right now, but everyone understands it! :) That is the Mom in all of us!

SO keep thinking your happy thoughts. It does sound like a new chapter in your life has started and you will be a great resource for your son as he turns a new page too!

It will make your trips to Florida so much more exciting! Disney and Trent!

Did you see that AirTran is coming to Huntsville with direct service to Orlando at the end of May! Here's hoping for lots of cheap flights for ya'll to get down to see Trent, and him to get to north AL to see ya'll! :wizard:

Yep! I'm pretty excited about that. We will definitely be using that as an option in the future.

Jill-are you going to be with MeMom when I meet up with her next Friday on the 19th?

More :grouphug: Memom. I have a very strict policy of not letting people cry alone, so I am sitting here with tears in my eyes "for you". I'll be thinking of your family this weekend and the many weeks to come. And I think the "See ya real soon!" approach is probably best.

And something else to help you smile... a few new photos of Aileen. We did her 6 month photos yesterday. There was only one flaw. She's now 7 months old. :lmao:

She is just too precious!!

1. 7 or more words per sentence
2. Underline the Vocabulary word
3. Don't start all the sentences with I
4. Only one very

I know - completely random thoughts, but I am back in school mode this morning. :)

You should speak up on wigd's TR and not just lurk. I know she'd love it if you joined in.

Maybe you are afraid of Shocker's pictures? :rotfl:

Un
fortunately you still still see Shocker's pictures when you lurk! I must say the bachelors he chose for you were interesting..... :lmao: I will be sure to delurk on Wigd's next report. Luckily they have another trip coming up soon!

I always seemed to have problems with sentences in grade school. By the 12th sentence or so, I had a very (very very) hard time coming up with anything else.:upsidedow

she's gorgeous! You are ahead of schedule in my family; my nephew's 1 year pictures were taken when he was 15 months old.:rotfl:

I heard John talking to Jill about it this weekend. DO they have crop duster planes, though? I've talked myself into a comfortable position with the SW flights, but if I have to move down to a crop duster, I may have to have drugs to fly.

I guess to see my son, I'd be willing to try it, though.
The crop duster and the drugs. :)

I'm glad to hear that he's got you Skyping! (Is that a verb??) We've used the web cams to keep in touch with my parents and everyone has loved it!

Skyping is a verb I will become very familiar with, I think. Brooklynn will really think it's neat to see Bubby and talk to him. She'll be showing him all kinds of things - pictures she's drawn, flips she can do, new dresses that twirl... :dance3:

Trent will love seeing all of it, too. ::yes::

Memom & BrooklynnsMommy I wanted to give you cyber hugs too!

I shed some tears with you today as I read your touching words, I can feel your hurt. It must be so hard to let him go, but I'm sure you feel an enormous sense of pride aswell. He is a great guy and he will make sure the miles don't seem too far!

I enjoyed all the jokes our fellow DIS friends shared.

Thanks for the shopping pics! I would love to have a whole Disney kitchen....Disney bathroom....Disney bedroom....do I need to go on...:rotfl:

I especially loved seeing the new handbags! Very cute!

I don't have any jokes but I do have a pic of my new kittens.... they should put a smile on your face tonight. ;)

They usually sleep in thier basket, but we found them inside Lexi's Build a Bear dog bed....Awwww! Too Cute!

I have felt my heart in my chest this week. You know how it tightens up when you are so stressed. It'll all be better by this time next week when he is busy with his job and I am home on spring break. I've got things to accomplish here at the house, and Brooklynn is coming to spend a couple of nights with me. I think the anticipation of the leaving is very hard, but when he gets there and gets going, I know we'll all be fine. We are way too close to let distance to any damage to our relationships.

We got a kick out of the jokes.

The kitties are precious. I don't know that there are many things cuter that little kittens.

Oh my gosh - they are sooooo cute!!! I bet they're a lot of fun to watch :)

Makes a person think about getting another kitten, doesn't it?
But my spoiled cat would not appreciate that one little bit. He's an 'only' all the way.

And Jill, lest you misinterpret those words, let me make it very clear

I DO NOT WANT ANOTHER KITTEN!!!

I made the mistake a long time ago of saying that IF I ever got a pet, it would be a kitten, and then my kids took it upon themselves to bring me one!

Didn't they hear the IF part???

I love the little guy, but I do not want him to have a sibling!!!

No.

No.

No.

Yes, there are a lot of positives in the move. Jamie is a sweet girl, he's got a good job opportunity (or at least it seems like it will be), and he's moving to a place that makes it easy for us to visit.

It will definitely add a huge new excitement to our trips! :yay:

Yes, but when you lurk, you don't give him opportunity to come out with new pictures. If you join in, you take the risk of making a normal comment that brings out the 'unusual picture' beast in him!

It won't be until evening like last time. We are leaving from WDW that day so we won't get to Nashville until later.

Hopefully, Jill can open that morning so she can be up here in the evening. We definitely want you to see Brooklynn and Bella.

In national news headlines:

I slept until the alarm went off this morning at 4:20.

That is a rare, rare occurrence.

I haven't slept that long in quite a while. I guess it just caught up with me.

In local headlines:

Today is picture day at school, which means the kids will be hyped up as they bound down the hallway this morning. I will have a headache by the time it is our turn to line up and smile.

You know how much I love pictures, anyway. That alone will give me a headache. ;)

Have a Terrific Tuesday, everyone!

Have a Terrific Tuesday, everyone!

Congrats on sleeping til the alarm! You sound like my mom, she doesn't have to be up until 5 am but shes always up at 4:30 doing laundry or cleaning or something. And then on her day off she still is up at the crack of dawn!\

Have fun with pictures ;)

Today's news always has both good and bad info doesn't it. I am glad you got to sleep in --- but picture day?? That's enough to send a teacher straight to the looney bin. I hope you are able to perservere!

I hope your Tuesday really is terrific!!

Hi Memom!

Hope you're doing well

Love all of the Disney pics I can't believe I was just there and I love being able to say I saw that merchandise :lmao:

Just smile and wave! :goodvibes

You know I will. :upsidedow

Hey, I am not HIDEOUS! In fact, I was once rather handsome....

You are still quite a handsome devil, Shocker!
I won't say which should have the accent, though - handsome or devil.

Naah, it's your pictures we fear...not you. :goodvibes

That's me. ::yes::
I may meet her at the grocery store some Saturday morning about 5:30.

They are very cute in their everyday clothes. We have Standard School Attire here, so when they get to wear regular clothes, they get very excited.

My old cat Honey was an only until Jamie found a kitten in the woods behind our house - she was supposed to go door to door in the neighborhood to see if she could find the owner but I don't think she tried very hard ;) It was very entertaining to watch the kitten dive bomb off the couch onto Honey. Honey didn't think it was very funny though :)

4:20 huh?! :scared1:

Today is picture day at school

That's even worse than Wacky Wednesday (early dismissal), Freaky Friday or the dreaded rainy day bus schedule:upsidedow

We started the FCAT today - the office is strangely quiet ;)

You need to share Disney party pictures with us. :woohoo:

One piece at a time is what it will be. I have picked up the measuring spoons and cups a bunch of times, but I don't need them, so I put them down. I looked at the cookware and put it down. I do that all the time, and I rarely end up buying anything. :upsidedow

Sorry MeMom forgot the picture part of the party :(

I do have to say I have the Mickeyhead cookie cutter & I did have a set of four juice glasses , now down to 2 , they break very easy . Hope to pick up quite a few more items in September to add what I already have :)

Congrats on learning how to Skype and sleeping till the alarm went off this morning ! Have a great day , if the weather is as beautiful & warm as it is here in your neck of the woods I know you will :goodvibes

Yay for sleeping in MeMom! And for learning to Skype! Have a Terrific Tuesday! :cool1:

The Skype stuff is pretty cool. I think it'll make the distance seem a little less.

We practiced by calling Jamie yesterday, but she said three people told her she looked tired yesterday, so she didn't want to put her face on the screen. She held up a plush chicken or duck or something and had him dance around instead.

Seems early to be doing testing. We don't do ours until April. The kids give it up after testing, so I am glad it's later on.

I know what you mean about the quiet. The whole school walks softly during TCAP. :)

Forgot the pictures??? :scared1:

I don't like glass glasses for that reason. I usually get plastic. Drew's coffee mugs and one set of clear glasses are all the breakables I have. I rarely use the glasses, but he uses his mugs daily.

It is pretty here, but we are supposed to get rain. I hope we can take the kids out this afternoon before it hits, because I have tutoring until 5:30, so I'm going to need a break.

I'm a few days behind so read quickly to get caught up. First, I need to give you a big (((HUG))) MeMom. Reading about the Trent moving and your thoughts, made me cry too. A mother's love for her children is like no other and being so far apart from them, is just hard to be okay with. He seems like such a good son to you and I hope that you will be able to visit with him more than you think. I wish him nothing but wonderful things in his new adventure. I will be thinking of you often MeMom.

Great DTD pictures! I always wish I had a million dollars while shopping there. Just so many fun things! :)

How's picture day going today? I was the parent volunteer for picture day at Dimitri's school a couple weeks ago. I had a blast! :) Kids are fun.

I love the pictures from you party last weekend. It looks like everyone had a good time, and I think the pictures speak a thousand words. You can really tell how much everyone in the family love one another. And that includes Trent's friends.

I will ask my daughters for a joke to post later. :)

I have some exciting news! My husband has a two hour meeting in Orlando on April 14th-it has turned into an opportunity for us to run away together for two days. I'll fly down a little later than him, and then we are going to stay until late Friday afternoon. I wish we could visit Magic Kingdom or EPCOT (or Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios or all four :rotfl2:)but the plan is-POP Century, DTD, SeaWorld (I live near Busch Gardens Williamsburg and my season's pass for there will get me into SeaWorld for free), and Kona for breakfast on our departing day. I am so excited! I can't believe it is all working out. My sisters are going to help take care of my kids and my dogs. :thumbsup2
