Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

And Jill, lest you misinterpret those words, let me make it very clear

I DO NOT WANT ANOTHER KITTEN!!!

I made the mistake a long time ago of saying that IF I ever got a pet, it would be a kitten, and then my kids took it upon themselves to bring me one!

Didn't they hear the IF part???

I'm sorry, but that made me laugh so hard...:rotfl2: I love kittens! Charles said once that he might consider getting a cat if they stayed as kittens forever.

I'm glad you learned Skype and are going to be able to use that. :goodvibes I've been thinking about you!

I hope you made it through picture day okay. My mom always dreaded the day that she and the other teachers she worked with would have the class picture taken.

The kittens are so fun to watch, they love wrestling each other and they do this little hop as they run (kinda like bunnies). Very cute!

They are the most precious when they are sleeping together in thier basket, all curled up.

I'm so happy you will be able to Skype each other, the girls will love it!
Isn't technology wonderful! :thumbsup2

I can't wait to see a pic of the mini DIS meet. :goodvibes

I hope you made it through your picture day....at least you were very rested!

This is a funny story I found on the boards tonight. I laughed until I cried my eyes out. Toooooooooooooo funny.

The community board has a thread called the craziest things you have ever read on the boards. I found this story on a link from that thread. It is a funny thread I laughed sooooooooooo hard. I just wanted to share it with you.

Trying this another way. Hope it will work. Like I said the credit goes to the coteau chick for finding it and while the story can be a bit horrifying it still has a funny visual.

:lmao::rotfl::lmao::rotfl::rotfl:

Is it bad that I still think about it and laugh???? At least she had a good sense of humor about it all.

No, I just wish I could get that image out of my head :headache: I will never go on a water slide again unless I have a t-shirt over the old bathing suit!

MeMom - hope picture day went swimmingly! Did someone get your picture? Or another hidden MeMom? ;)

CanadianWDWFan - Your new kitties are too precious! :) And I love their names...oh now I want a kitten! But I'm allergic...and the dogs would probably scare it to death! But I'm happy your family has some new friends!

Moparop - Aileen is soooo gorgeous! :)

You guys will love Skype! My DH has been working in WI and we use it every night. It's very nice for the kids to see his face when they talk to him.

:scared1: OMG--->I am dying over here. :rotfl2: Poor lady. I feel bad for laughing.

I'm a few days behind so read quickly to get caught up. First, I need to give you a big (((HUG))) MeMom. Reading about the Trent moving and your thoughts, made me cry too. A mother's love for her children is like no other and being so far apart from them, is just hard to be okay with. He seems like such a good son to you and I hope that you will be able to visit with him more than you think. I wish him nothing but wonderful things in his new adventure. I will be thinking of you often MeMom.

Great DTD pictures! I always wish I had a million dollars while shopping there. Just so many fun things! :)

How's picture day going today? I was the parent volunteer for picture day at Dimitri's school a couple weeks ago. I had a blast! :) Kids are fun.

I totally agree about a mother's love. It is amazing and powerful. Once he's gone, we'll all be better emotionally, I know. It's just the anticipation of the goodbye, and for the grown-ups, it will be not falling apart and handling it all well in front of Brooklynn so that she doesn't get upset. I think we'll do okay, having gotten most of our tears out this week and knowing that he will hopefully be back in a few weeks for Bella's birthday.

I really do appreciate the good thoughts. I would prefer that he was closer to home, maybe just 3-4 hours away at most, but when I think about where he is going and that it really is just two hours by flight, I think it will all be okay.

I also agree about the idea of having a million dollars to shop with. :thumbsup2

They did individual pictures and class pictures, so it took a few miutes, but we did okay. This additional 1/2 hour they've added to the end of the day to make up the snow days just makes for a long day, and then o Tuesdays and Thursdays, the tutoring is now until 5:30, so the days are long.

I love the pictures from you party last weekend. It looks like everyone had a good time, and I think the pictures speak a thousand words. You can really tell how much everyone in the family love one another. And that includes Trent's friends.

I will ask my daughters for a joke to post later. :)

I have some exciting news! My husband has a two hour meeting in Orlando on April 14th-it has turned into an opportunity for us to run away together for two days. I'll fly down a little later than him, and then we are going to stay until late Friday afternoon. I wish we could visit Magic Kingdom or EPCOT (or Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios or all four :rotfl2:)but the plan is-POP Century, DTD, SeaWorld (I live near Busch Gardens Williamsburg and my season's pass for there will get me into SeaWorld for free), and Kona for breakfast on our departing day. I am so excited! I can't believe it is all working out. My sisters are going to help take care of my kids and my dogs. :thumbsup2

We certainly do have a special bond. I raised the kids on my own, and having gone through a lot of tough years emotionally and financially, that is why we celebrate every good thing, even if it is a very small thing. We have learned to appreciate all moments that are stable and not chaotic - normal is good. :thumbsup2

Yay for getting a new Disney trip in! :yay: Even with no parks, I would be happy to go to DTD, stay in a Disney resort, and visit the Poly any time! That's awesome! Getting to do SeaWorld for free is great, too. :)

And you don'r even have to wait very long at all! :woohoo:

Have the jokes on hand for Sunday. He's leaving Sunday morning.

Kittens are just the cutest, but for now I am happy with my old man cat. Years down the road, I may want another one, but no time soon.

Thanks for the thoughts. Skyping is going to be fun.

We made it through class pictures. I just wish I didn't have to be in them. ;)

Jill is getting Skype soon, so it will be very fun to see her and the girls when I am talking to them, too.

Are you talking about the Dis meet with tinkgurl here in Nashville? We are planning to meet with her Friday night. We are hoping she gets to meet up with Trent and Jamie and Marc and Anita down in Disney World sometime next week. I really want that to work out. I've already told wigd she'll have to give Trent a hug for me. She can be the stand-in mom. :goodvibes

Also, whenever we make it to Memphis, we hope to meet some DIS people there, too. :cool1:

Shame on you girls for getting such big laughs out of that poor lady's misfortune! Tsk, tsk, tsk. :sad2:

I read the story, and it does seem like she handled it all with humor. I haven't made it to either water park yet, except for the bus rides there to pick up and drop off, of course, but if I ever do, I will be tightly bound in clothing. I would love to do the water slides. I think they'd be too fun!

oops.....this is wigd and I signed in as Shocker!

As duly noted in the above, your quoting skills gave you away! :rotfl:

I would gladly have been a Hidden Teacher! I am forced to be in the picture with all my little angels, though, so that they can have wonderful(?) memories of their Disney teacher.

Oh My Goodness....

Come on, wigd, you know he's a keeper!

I will love it for seeing the girls. Brooklynn is always holding things up to the phone and showing me - a boo boo, a toy, her twirling around in a dress, etc. Now what I am imagining in my head will be right before my eyes. :goodvibes

:scared1: OMG--->I am dying over here. :rotfl2: Poor lady. I feel bad for laughing.

Wasn't that nice of her to share her misfortune with us so that we could get a good laugh and learn a vital lesson?!?!?

Ew...4:20 is when the alarm goes off in the morning?! :headache:

Well, it doesn't go off very often, because 98% of the time, I'm already up. It's usually in the three o'clock hour that I get up, and for some reason 3:19 is a popular moment.

Oh my....3 am wake ups.....

I have trouble with 6:30 wake ups.....:rotfl:

I would love to try the water slides someday too.
I will be wearing a full body wet suit, so I do not have that ladies misfortune. She handled it great!
I would have been soo embarassed.

Is it warming up down south for you? I want the Disers to have great weather for travelling.

(I was meaning the DIS meet with Tinkgirl in my previous post.) ;)

Wonderful Wednesday all! :goodvibes

I know Jamie is looking forward to it, she told me the other day that they were meeting someone named Wigd at Disney :goodvibes I hope Trent's schedule isn't too bad, I hear he has a LOT of clients waiting!

 This just made me laugh because when we first got skype this year to talk to grandma and grandpa in FL, Daniel got the BIGGEST kick out of holding things up to the camera to show them (you know, important things like pop cans, crayons and napkins...anything already sitting on the table)

Part of the deal of my getting to go without them to WDW in May is that I will break down and pay Disney for a couple days of internet access so we can see each other on skype while I am gone.
