Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

Oh my....3 am wake ups.....

I have trouble with 6:30 wake ups.....:rotfl:

I would love to try the water slides someday too.
I will be wearing a full body wet suit, so I do not have that ladies misfortune. She handled it great!
I would have been soo embarassed.

Is it warming up down south for you? I want the Disers to have great weather for travelling.

(I was meaning the DIS meet with Tinkgirl in my previous post.) ;)

Wonderful Wednesday all! :goodvibes

We are looking so forward to seeing tinkgurl next Friday, especially knowing that she has just been at our home away from home! :dance3:

It is warming up, thank heavens. It is supposed to be in the high 60's today, I believe. :yay:

I know Jamie is looking forward to it, she told me the other day that they were meeting someone named Wigd at Disney :goodvibes I hope Trent's schedule isn't too bad, I hear he has a LOT of clients waiting!

That's nice to know, because he needs a LOT of money! ;)

I am so excited about them meeting wigd!

 This just made me laugh because when we first got skype this year to talk to grandma and grandpa in FL, Daniel got the BIGGEST kick out of holding things up to the camera to show them (you know, important things like pop cans, crayons and napkins...anything already sitting on the table)

Part of the deal of my getting to go without them to WDW in May is that I will break down and pay Disney for a couple days of internet access so we can see each other on skype while I am gone.

Jill told me this morning that John got it last night, so I expect to be seeing some sweet little faces very soon. This is church night, so we may not be able to to it tonight.

So sweet that Daniel wanted to show off things. I love little kids.

Good Morning MeMom!
I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday.
Thunderstorms coming our way...

just read that story that coteau_chick posted.....:rotfl2: when she said she thought god was talking to her, i literally laughed out loud. but i will say this: i am allowed to laugh at her since this happened to me, too! only i was 15 and we were at wet n' wild in orlando. i had just gotten up the nerve to ride derstuka, the slide that's a straight-down 250-foot drop. here's a video of it if you've never seen it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=7nR-3ipbpww&feature=related

well, when i got to the bottom, i stood up and my bikini top was up around my neck!!!! :scared1: i tried quickly to pull it down but did so too quickly and it went down around my waist. it was horrible! you can imagine at the age of 15 how traumatizing that was, especially for this very modest 15-year-old! somebody on the slide above where you land starting yelling, "WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!" i was mortified!!! i put on a t-shirt over my suit and didn't ride anything for the rest of the day.

memom - you will get a kick outta this. same day, same ride, brett was only 5 years old and he actually rode it! but what's so funny is we had all gone and he was the last one to go. well, he laid down at the top of the slide, then got back up and walked to the railing. we thought he had chickened out. but then he came back over, laid down and went without hesitation and loved it. when he got to the bottom i asked him what he was doing when he got up and he said, "oh, well, the whole time i was walking up the steps i was thinking how cool it would be to spit over the edge and see how long it would take to get to the ground and i forgot to do it. then i when i laid down i remembered that i wanted to do that, so i told the lifeguard to hang on a minute while i went to spit." :rotfl: only a little boy!

I know you and Brooklynn will have a great time together when she spends a couple days with you. I'll bet you have a lot of fun things in mind. I hope she helps keep your mind off your sadness for a little while. I know she will. How could she not, she is adorable.

Forgot the pictures??? :scared1:

I don't like glass glasses for that reason. I usually get plastic. Drew's coffee mugs and one set of clear glasses are all the breakables I have. I rarely use the glasses, but he uses his mugs daily.

It is pretty here, but we are supposed to get rain. I hope we can take the kids out this afternoon before it hits, because I have tutoring until 5:30, so I'm going to need a break.

I know how could I forget the pictures :scared1: You have to give me a break though it was our 1st home Disney party ! lol

I can see why you don't use glasses , you wouldn't believe how many glasses & dishes I have lost this past year :(

It's been in the low 70's the last couple of days here but it's suppose to rain the next couple of days , keeping my fingers crossed that the warm weather comes back and so does the sun this weekend !

Update my pre-trip report today if you get a chance check it out , would love your input

I can't wait to see you either! :yay:

It's warming up there? Oh good! But if it gets cold again, we'll live to tell the story! :thumbsup2 I'm afraid to look at the forecast for there..I don't want to get upset if I see rain or anything. :rotfl: So, I'll just take the weather as it comes each day.

Hi MeMom. I did not get a chance to get on this past weekend so I was pages & pages behind!! All caught up now. I was reading this thread at work earlier today & crying. My clerks were wondering what was wrong with me. You are a wonderful Mom & don't you feel guilty about being sad. I would be feeling very sad if either of my boys moves away. Yay for Skype. That will be great for you to see your girls & your boy.

We are supposed to get rain this weekend also. We think it is getting warmer here & it actually reached 50 degrees here this week!! (that is warm for us for this time of year).

Hang in there & I will be thinking of you this weekend:grouphug:

Too far up, too far down - I know you were glad when you got it just right! :goodvibes

She'll bring me lots of smiles and laughter, for sure. This will be the perfect week for her to be here. :)

We're supposed to get rain, too, but it is so nice that it is warmer. Maybe my heating bill will calm down for a couple of months.

I haven't cried today, yet. I almost did when the guidance counselor was asking me what day he is leaving, but I didn't.

Yes, this will be a fun new toy for us to play with.

Keep those good thoughts flowing. :)

oops.....this is wigd and I signed in as Shocker!

I felt as if I was having an in-body experience!

I had a somewhat similar adventure punkin. I am rather curvy and as a 16 year old thought it was a good idea to wear a bathing suit with a zipper up the front. On beautiful summer afternoon I went tubing with a huge group of teenage boys. It was my turn to get in the water, so I clipped on my ski jacket over my suit and got in the lake. I rode around for a while and when it was my turn to come in I climbed up in the boat and took off my life jacket with everyone staring at me. Needless to say, the zipper was down and there was even more staring. It took me about 30 seconds to notice and I was mortified. I did have a lot of attention from the guys that day though. :lmao:

Oh my....Punkin & Moparop I can imagine how embarrased you must have been at that age.....I'm glad you can laugh at it now. :grouphug:

Memom I didn't know your meet was for next week when Tinkgirl is on her way home, she will have soo much to share with you! :)

It was a beautiful sunny day here, it made me think of Spring. :cloud9:

I guess it's better that Trent has too many clients, than none at all! :thumbsup2

Shouldn't you be packing???? :upsidedow

Yep, next Friday we'll be seeing tinkgurl and her favorite man (besides her nice dad) here in Nashville. :goodvibes

We have the windows open. It's a beautiful evening.

Trent better hope he has a thousand clients waiting, because he is going to need a bunch of money to live out there in the grown-up world.

According to my pictures, this was the evening Drew and I did some picture-taking at Epcot. I wanted to see the Candlelight Processional, and this was the last night for it.

I just think this is the cutest picture ever :goodvibes

Here are some of Drew's pictures from that night. I'm pretty sure I took Candlelight Processional pictures of my own, but I don't see them. Maybe I just let him take some.

We wandered around and took a few pictures, then went to see if we could get pictures from the standing room section of the CP. I was thrilled to be let right in to plenty of open seats, and after a very few minutes, they let the ropes down on the reserved section, so we were able to move up even closer.

Well, stay in, then. Don't want to take any chances of you getting in a wreck on a wet Kansas night when you are about to go to Disney World!

I love the moon over Mexico picture!

Yes, I remember telling him to go get in the shower about the time that picture was taken! He looked scruffy, and he needs a haircut, which he is getting Friday. :thumbsup2

Very sweet picture!

He loves his baby girls. You've met the girls, and you'll meet him, but I am anxious for you to be with them together in July so you can see them together.

The Epcot pictures are AMAZING. I especially love those last two fountain ones.

Goofy's Candy Co. looks really really good right about now -- I could definitely go for one of those rice crispy treats!

Don't ya just love Goofy's Candy Company?

i sure do! i could definitely use a mickey krispie covered in white chocolate, pecans and drizzled with caramel. i don't know why i torture myself so.

love the moon pictures at epcot! and i always love seeing the tree there - it's so pretty, especially at night.

and drew's pictures were great. very cool that you guys got to see angela bassett. i think she's really talented. :thumbsup2

Memom Drew's picture are gorgous. He really has a good eye. I love your "moon over..." pictures. I can't wait to see the Candlelight Processional, it seems like a great way to hear the Christmas story.
