Great update MeMom

I still have it in the plans to go one year over Christmas and when we do after seeing all your great FW pictures , we will def be heading over there to checkout all the decorations !
I bet you wanted to break free all those stuff animals in that window !
They did need some breathing room, didn't they???
Oh wow!!! I can't believe all the decorations that those folks put out at the Wilderness resort!! Whoa!!!!
Oh, and to stay 7 months out of the year!!! Wowzer!!!!!!! That is some vacation there!
I think they just have those kinds of jobs where they can work from their computers. I know Dave (of NYE Dave & Kathy) said as long as he has his computer, he's free to go wherever. Sure would be nice to be wealthy and free to roam.
I think I could be quite good at that!!!
Maybe you'll be handing out candy canes to Brooklynn's and Bella's kids at The Fort someday!
Yup
When we stayed in the cabins there were only 4 of us. Patrick's mom just wanted to try them out. Since there were only 4, the one bathroom wasn't really an issue, but I can see it being a problem as the numbers go up.
I'd really like to stay there at least for a night or two sometime. I like the rustic style of living, and there's no nicer place to be rustic than in a Disney campground.
Ok. I am all caught up. Wow! I Miss a few days and it takes a week to catch up. :0) Trent- Congratulations! MeMom- Congratulations on your mothers day trip!
This has been such a nice day. I am sitting on my patio under blue skys 75 ish degrees with breezes, listening to radio365 (disney music of course) and catching up. Can you tell my spring break has started and the baby is napping.
Cabins- we have stayed in one with 4 adults (some larger than others) and a child and it was great. no issues really with bathrooms that I can recall. They also just redid the pool area so they have a slide now. I always forget they are there but you guys have me thinking I need to book a trip to the cabins soon.
The weather is fluctuating here. We had a few days of 'sunny and warm', but I drove to school in snow yesterday.
A trip to the cabins sounds wonderful. Maybe the first week of July? They're probably booked solid already for that week, though.
Those displays at Fort Wilderness are soooooo cool! I love Minnie in the tub! I wish I could stay at Disney 7 mos. of the year!
You'll have to check them out for yourself sometime. It was a nice day to walk around and look at all of the displays.
WOW!! Those decorations are something else!!!

Minnie in the tub is so cute!! Taking a soak drinking her wine! I wonder if those are Basin bubbles?

I must admit all of the decorations minus the snow look a bit peculiar to me but I am a Northern girl!

I think I could definitely manage staying there 7 months!!

In Florida, they just have to overdecorate to get that cold winter feeling, I guess.
I always wanted to check out Ft. Wilderness after seeing that Travel Channel special!! This trip, each time our bus stopped there (when we were staying at the WL) I wanted to jump off and go check out the horses!
The stables are the cleanest I have ever seen. Immaculate.
Thanks Brook!!
LOVE IT!!! That is hilarious!!
I really hate that we didn't make it over there in December!
You can take your little guy to see all the cool decorations someday. Some of them play music and some light up. There are snowglobes that spray the foam stuff all over. I hated the snowglobes, but Brooklynn and Bella loved them.
Just wanted to say that we read our letters today! The kids were so pleased! I think we will write again after Spring Break. They loved the illustrations and are itching to do some drawings for their Tennessee buddies!
Our kids will love their drawings, and I'm sure they will be much nicer. This set of letters came during all of this crazy in and out for snow days stuff, so we did good just to get anything at all. We will write to you guys again after our zoo field trip, which is April 22nd. That way they will have a lot to write and draw about.
Those FW piccies are AMAZING!!! I wish people in the UK were more enthusiastic about decorations at Christmas time!
I am so excited and have to share with you! The plans for our trip NEXT YEAR (!!!) are coming along. My Mum wants to get the flights booked ASAP so she is trying to get those sorted out. We arrive on 12th August 2011 and leave 3 whole weeks later!
We are staying in a villa but I am hoping to get us all in a Disney hotel for 1 night - the night before my Mum turns 60.
Is August too late for your summer trips? Would have been so great to try and arrange to meet you all and introduce Toby to his Disney baby friends!
I chatted to my sister yesterday and we are going to try and book a breakfast in Cinderella's Castle for my Princess niece who is 4yrs and into everything Disney Princessy! She watched Princess and the Frog and Sunday and loved it so much! We are also going to do a Crystal Palace breakfast on my Mum's birthday as Pooh is her all-time favourite character.
Lastly, the best news... we have worked out the dates so that I will spend my birthday in Orlando too!!!!!!
Very exciting!

It will be awesome to be in Disney World on your birthday! I've done it, and although I don't care a thing about birthdays for myself, it does make the day special.
Crystal Palace for your Mom - how nice! She will love her special day being with her sweet family and her favorite character.
School starts for us the first part of August, so August trips are out for me until I retire. Early October is really the best I will be able to do, because I have to get the kids into a routine the first part of the year. Being out for my knee surgery at the beginning of this year made it kind of rough, and I don't want to repeat that again if I don't have to. By the time we get through August and September, I can sneak out for a couple of days for a birthday trip for Jill or just wait a couple of more weeks until fall break.
