I <3 the pics that Drew took....wow!!!
I tossed the idea around of a summer trip but dh says its way too hot... I countered with the pool and nap midday... he counter-offered with "I can wait another year for Disney".
We've just gotten used to the heat, because we pretty much have to go in the summer, if we're doing a long trip. If you change your mind, come on down for a few days during Fourth of July! The water and the naps feel especially good in the summer.
What a fabulous Mother's Day present! You have a very thoughtful daughter!
Whoa, I was 12 pages behind! I need to get here more often! I enjoyed seeing your AK pics.
Have a super weekend!
She is very thoughtful. We have had fun talking about the way we're going to maximize this very short time.
My weekend will be uneventful, so I guess that can be a good thing. I went to the grocery store on the way home from school yesterday, today I'll do house chores, and tomorrow will be church and some schoolwork in the evening. Boring, maybe, but that's okay.
It was one of the most fun nights for me too! I think it's tied with the night I had my perfect Wishes view(the one I sent you the picture of!)
Yup! I'm only an hour away!!!
How nice to have the perfect Wishes view!
At an hour away, I think you guys will have some fun meets in the future.
Yes Memom hopefully the weather will be wonderful in May. We just got a terrible wind & rain storm yesterday & here in NH there were 229,000 people without power. The wind gusts were 70 MPH!!! We were without power for 12 hours from 10pm last night until almost noon today. Some still do not have theirs back yet & it could be days!! There were huge pine trees down all over the roads here We also had a flooded cellar as our pump could not work without power. We were bailing out all night but gave up around 6 am this morning. Now we are drying it out & everything is good but...I am ready for May!!!
Sorry to hear about the power outage. We have been so lucky here with that. We have only lost power a very few times for very short spurts. I know that a lot of people who have had so much snow this winter are already stressing about the floods that will some with the spring thaw. I guess that's why I said earlier that a boring weekend is just fine with me. May has suddenly become more exciting to us, too.
Here are Drew's pictures resized plus a few more of his from the AK photo excursion.
Thanks, Jilly-bean! Hope your Friday night pizza was delicious!
I wish he had taken close-ups of the kangaroos.
You come out of hiding to say good job to the
man's pictures!

We miss you and Ma around here.
I have been thinking of you guys during the Olympics, since Canada has been in the spotlight.
I agree! Drew's pictures are great!
I will tell him you said so.
Those pictures are just fabulous! Oh to have just a bit of that boy's talent.....
He has found something he truly enjoys, so I hope he can make a living with it.
Thanks, on Drew's behalf.
I don't know if I've ever seen the birds with the little mohawks (for lack of a better word

) -- they are super cute!
I loved seeing the pictures bigger; thanks for that! They are amazing.
Grey Crowned Cranes. I love that he got all the kangaroos in the background.
I love the close up- side profile - view of the turtle!
So cool!
I liked the turtle picture, too.
Drew's pictures are wonderful, he has a good eye for capturing the spirit of the park.
I was glad we got to hang out together that morning. It was enjoyable to me to watch him see something he wanted to shoot and then get at just the right angle he wanted. I will love it if he can find a job doing something he enjoys so much.
June 24th-July 1st and possibly adding on three more nights in the beginning so June 21st. When are yours?
We're arriving late on June 30th. Maybe we can do a quick hello and picture for the report on the 1st?
