Which games can you recommend?

We have a Disney Princess one, Wii Play and Mario Kart.

What do your kids like and what do you like?

Thanks.

The Wii is such great fun, Adam has just got HSM dance and loves that, Wii music is really good fun, Mario Kart, Wii Fit Samba Amigo is good too, he also has lots of boy games Star wars, ben 10 etc.

Have lots of fun with it:yay:

We are having a Wii night tonight and some party nibbles:woohoo:

We love Super Mario at the Olympics too. We bought the Carnival games one for christmas, and it is pretty good too as it is very easy for the DC 3&6 to use.

DD3 also got the Barbie Island Princess game in her stocking which is quite good as most Wii games are quite 'boy' orientated.

Have fun x

We have a few games but the one's that get played the most have to be the Wii sports which came with the Wii, Mario Olympic's and for Christmas santa left us the family trainer which is great fun :thumbsup2 we have had soooo many laughs with it especially with Grandma & Grandad

I got wii family trainer and wii music for christmas which are great fun. DH got the Star Wars game with 2 light sabres which he also loves (I think I need to move my orniments in the house for that one!!)

We bought DD the clone wars game with lightsabres.:lmao: Be warned don't get in the way.
Atm we are loving the Hasbro family game night (boggle for me :rotfl: ).Also Wii fit (but we haven't played this yet still in box),Mario Kart,Mario Galaxy and Paper Mario..all good games.:thumbsup2 Wii play? is it,the bowling so on are great too.

Can highly recommend the Wii fit.

DD got the cheerleading one at christmas. It's very good and not nearly as energetic as you would think.

There is a game called Disney Think (or think it) that I really want to get for ours. It's hosted by the Genie and it looks fab! We like the Wii Sports in our house too. DH got a Star Trek game today and I think he's more excited about it than when we got the Wii! (Star Trek bore);)

In no particular order here is what the Wii fans in our household suggest -
Star Wars the Force Unleased
Guitar Hero
Super Mario Galaxy
Animal Crossing
Mario Party 8
Dr Mario (Germ Buster downloaded)

DD got a wii for christmas too, another vote for mario cart, Cooking Mama is also good. We got the family trainer but its still in the box as of yet. She got a few games but havn't played them yet:)

My 2 got a Wii for Christmas too-. Their favourite games seem to be Wii Sports, Mario Kart and Raving Rabids.

In our very competitive household we are loving the wii fit !! I managed to sprain my ankle yesterday running on the spot in competion with my 10 yr old but i would still reccomend it to anyone !!! My 2 yr old loves the yoga poses on the it and the boys think the skiing on it is fab and the whole time they are active what more could you ask for ??

I was going to get a wii for Kyra next year but untill she masters the Vsmile i think i may wait abit lol.

Yeah, hold off Emma.....Poppy is a little young for it and I think they are a similar age (3 and 3months) although with the Disney Princess Enchanted Journey game there are things you can do to make her think she is doing it - if you know what I mean;)
You're better off saving your pennies and waiting for the next generation Wii ::yes::

Thanks for your help everybody, think I will look out for a Barbie one in the sales.

Has anybody got Wall:e for the Wii?

okay I'm one of those horrible mothers ..... I wont let the kids have video games

We do have a Wii and we have Wii fit and Wii sports only. The kids love to play the games and our oldest loves the jogging on Wii fit  but thats all they'll be getting.

saying that - I think where we live makes it possible not to rely on things like video games as the weather is not like the UK! if the kids were stuck in the house as many days of the year as they are in the UK I may be broken and succumb to giving them anything !

I've managed to get our Wii into our living room now - finally.

I'm loving Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Sports & Mario and Sonic at the Olympics on the base games. And for a bit of sillyness, WarioWare is quite funny!

Then my lovely DBF got me the Wii Fit for Christmas and I'm LOVING everything on that, I'm now getting especially good at tight-rope walking! I even went on a long distance run!! We've also got Shaun Whites Snowboarding, which is great fun - I'd recomend this one for the Wii Fit!! :thumbsup2

We've got beach party and thought it would be great but its not actually very good so that might be one to avoid

You're not a horrible Mum, I agree with what you say.

My eldest is only 6 in April and she never asked for a Wii we just thought it would be a fun family thing so my Mum bought it for us as a family gift:goodvibes It's use will be resricted just like other TV and films are in my household (and it will also be used as a privilige that can be lost ;) ) I agree also that these things are more used in the winter, in the summer I can't get my girls in from the garden. I'm lucky that neither of them show obsessive traits when it comes to TV and video games (I know they are very young) if anything their favourite thing to do is still play mummy's going to the shops with their buggys!
They love a variety of play and I think in my household the Wii can be incorporated as something that we all do together:thumbsup2
