My daughter hurt her ankle right now they have a splint on but might have to take her to Ortho Doctor. My older daughter is in band and is performing at Disney in 3 weeks. Will they let her ride any rides with a cast on her foot? Also does any one know how much it is to rent a wheel chair?

as long as she fits n the car, she can ride.

You can rent a wheelchair for your length of stay at Disney, its cheaper. They do have complimentary wheelchairs for guests to get from the transportation drop off point to the main gate of the theme park.

Disney Resorts also offer complimentary wheelchairs but its as available and honestly some of them are in really bad shape. My dh tried to fix one with a castmembers tools in the Beach Club Lobby once. That is when we decided to rent one ourselves.

We rent from an offsite company, Randys Mobility. I like their policy of not charging an insurance fee for if the wheelchair gets stolen etc.

They drop off and pick up right where you are staying so its so convenient.

If she is in the wheelchair you can also view the parades and fireworks etc. from the designated wheelchair viewing areas in each theme park. You can view the map for location or ask the cast member etc.

Wishing your dd all the best.

Thank you very much! We are not staying on property for the first time we are staying at the same hotel with the Band. I am glad to know that she will at least be able to do things.

I would suggest going over to the disABILITIES Forum. One of the first threads is the disABILITIES FAQs. On Post #2 we have a lot of information for people with mobility and/or stamina situations, including fairly detailed information about both on- and off-site rentals of ECVs and wheelchairs. To get directly to the disABILITIES FAQs from here just click on the link in my signature.

I would ask her doctor. I broke my foot, had a cast and my doctor would not let me travel 320 miles to visit DMIL.

Thank you very much I will check out the board and also never thought about her not be able to drive down but will check with the Doctor it is almost 17 hours for us.
