My 2 dds 8 & 6 are not brave enough to ride EE, RnRC, ToT, and maybe Dinosaur. My husband and I never get to go on any of the major rides together. So I had a plan to put the kids in the Cub's Den @ WL by 4:30 and ride rides with him. This is planned for May 23. AK closes at 7 and MGM at 10. I am sure we would not be able to get FPs so I'm not sure we would even have time to get on the rides. We do have our own car. An easier and cheapier plan would be have them wait with us (using FP or at opening) and have them wait for us while we ride, a reverse "baby" swap. Is this possible. They will be almost 9 and 7. Thoughts and ideas! Thanks in advance!

I don't think the CMs are allowed to watch your children for you while you are on the attractions. Could you do this on a night when AK is open later for EMH?

i know i may get flamed for this, but i have read on these boards that some people use their fast passes after the allotted time (including the next day or two) w/no problems... that might be an option to get you on and off the rides while the kids are in Cubs' Den... another option would be to hire a babysitter for the day to tour the parks w/you, waiting w/the kids while you ride the thrillers... or, ride the ride alone while dh waits w/kids and then you wait w/kids while he rides using the "baby swap" method... *or* do what we did and force the kids to ride and live to regret it 'cause that is now allll they want to ride (at least ds... dd is still not thrilled! LOL!)

of course, there's always the "BRING GRANDMA" option ;)

I don't think I'd leave them alone while you ride. I like the idea of letting them go to Cub's Den. They'll have a ball and the two of you can have a real date like you used to have, before the kids:banana:

My dd-8 will not even go on Barnstormer or Haunted Mansion (I'm working on this one)so making her go on EE is out of the question! I've already promised her I won't make her go on anything dark and fast, but I'd like her to try TT and Kali River Rapids. I'll just stick with the first plan and have a fun evening w/o kids and whatever we can!

When we were at mgm in May, We rider swapped at RNR since our 6 year old was still too short for it. When we did that we were given I cant remember if it was 3 passes or one pass that allowed you to bring back 2 more people with you. Either way you would then be able to come back with your hubbs using it. This was given to me before I even got in line. SO I guess you could just go by and get it without actually riding. I dont think there was any kind of expiration time on it. Also the man at rnr who gave it to me told me about the fast passes, that they dont have to be used by the expiration time. But who knows they could start getting more specific with things by the time you go. Doesnt hurt if you are going to be there earlier to grab a fast pass and ask about it. Or the rider swap thin. The rider swap should work alteast for anything you have a child too small to ride. I dont know if thy give it to you if they just dont want to ride.
