By now I've probably forgotten most of the details anyway, so I have to take this somewhere to generate interest.......

Lazy river at both parks is great. Just as much a form of transportation as an attraction. The only thing about the slide is the whole carry and haul the tube up a million stairs thing. So much work for a slide.

Have not stayed at OKW yet but that tub does look inviting.

Wow an update from Marv OKW looks great, we've never stayed there but love all the space in the rooms...the jacuzzi would be nice after a long day in the parks

Megan wanted to go the water parks on her bday trip, but I planned Discovery cove instead...which was so much more relaxing, I'm not big on the water slides, but the lazy river would be more my speed!

Why does that not surprise me.........

Marv - you've really been taking a beating by these girls! All I can say is jacuzzi tubs, blenders, and bengay are all things I have been acquainted with on various Disney trips. Of course, my personal favorite is anything that comes out of a blender and can be concealed in a resort mug.

The one BR at OKW is really nice. I stayed in a studio in December and loved the size, but that 1 BR. Wow! Nice! I am so glad they added the sleeper chair. The 1 BR at Vero is a very similar layout and when we stayed there we could have used that sleeper chair since my boys can't stand to be anywhere near the same bed.

Mine aren't quite that bad......and can't wait to give Vero Beach a try one day!

Actually Lisa, I had a goal already in mind for when I wanted to post the next update, so if I am able to stick to that schedule there is a good chance someone will be able to use highly scientific and deductive reasoning to actually get it correct..........



.........either that or pure dumb luck!!! (and no Molly and Kathy, that wasn't a shot at either of you..... should your pure dumb luck happen to work out for you )

Thanks for all those OKW pictures. I used to think it was the least attractive DVC property. But the new colours work very well. And I like the hardwood floors they have now. I prefer that to carpet.

I am still not sure whether I like how spread out the resort is. Katharina and I took a long bus tour through there in October and it seemed to take ages. I guess it is best for people with cars.

Yes, a very good spot. One of the first stops coming in at night........and one of the first getting picked up in the mornings!!!!

I guess it WOULD have a different appeal based on whether or not you had a car. I tend to love the DVC resorts where I can park close to the room. One of the benefits of having the underneath parking at Kidani with the elevators nearby. Might be why I like SSR also that a lot of people don't always give the highest marks to.

I also like that fact that there is plenty of sidewalks and space to get in a good walk if you want to. You can never get in enough walking when you're at Disney.........
