I was trying to make sure I understand rider swap. Can we get a fast pass for Soarin for my husband and then I get a fast pass for test track and then just do rider swap so we both can ride each.

We will Have to do rider swap for both rides as my son will not be tall enough to ride them so was just wondering how that works with the tiers and fast passes!! Thanks!!!

I would use both fps on soarin. Then you can use the single rider line on test track and child swap

Yes, that's what I'd do. Sounds like you understand it to me. Using 2 FPs on Soarin isn't necessary in your situation, assuming you have 2 adults and a small child.

You can do that. Also, if you do book both for Soarin' like PP suggested, I would not book them for the exact same hour just in case it takes longer for the first person to get through Soarin' than you expected.

OP - stay with your plan. Both you and your DH will be able to ride Soarin' and TT with minimal wait in the FP lines.

You should do this for all rides where your child is below the height limit.

Thanks everybody. I will stick with my plan for all the rides my son can't ride!!

Yes, you can do that. Most recent reports have been that only the first riding parent is required to have a FP+ for the ride, the second riding parent only needs the RS pass.

I know there were reports of it being necessary for both parents to have a FP+ for the ride, but that does not seem to have become park-wide policy.

I have a similar situation, but we also have an older daughter so this scenario would not work for us right? For TT we would use FP+ for one parent and older daughter and then rider swap for other parent and older daughter. However, when we get to Soarin the older daughter wouldn't have a FP+ she would need to ride the first time with the other parent who has FP+? I guess the parent with FP+ for Soarin could ride solo and get a rider swap and then the other parent could use it with older daughter?

keep in mind too that single riders for Test Track have a shortened design time/choice. Per This Thread. But your kid will have a great time designing cars in the post show area!

I'm in the parks a couple times per month and am a heavy rider swap user. I've never had to have both parents have FP+. To me this doesn't even make sense because if we both had an FP+ then why would I need a rider swap card? I think anyone that reported this had to have been confused.

Correct, give your older daughter the choice of which ride (TT or Soarin) she wants to ride twice and book her FP for that. She'll still get to ride the other once through the FP line using a rider swap.
