RideMax Users Thread (FAQs Linked in First Post!)

Along the same lines-- what day would you guys use to substitute for Sunday, May 3rd at DHS (a Fantasmic night). I've been using Thursday, May 7th, since it's also a Fantasmic night, but I'm wondering if there's a better sub, since Sunday will likely be busier. We will only be there in the evening (we've got the F! dinner package at 4pm), but I'd like to see if we could catch just a few things before F! --Katie

For those of you using RM, does it make the most sense to choose the take advantage of late Fass Pass option? We'll be in each park throughout the day but I have a fear of FP's running out early because the crowds are expected to be 10's.

I used the late fast pass option when we went last time.
We had no problem using our fast passes late and it really helped us a lot to be able to go on a ride later in the day.

This option is about using your FP after the time that they say on the receipt, not getting the FP late. I think we only used 2 sets of FP during their scheduled times the rest were late. We got ZERO comments about this. We were even told by CMs that the FP were good for the entire day just not before the time they were valid.

I bought this and put together a great week at Disney. If this actually works, it will have been worth the price and then some. It's showing me wait times of less than 15 minutes on most attractions the week of April 19th!!!!

I'm crossing my fingers!!!

It does work. I was sceptical before we went too. As I said before, when we followed it closly it was on the money. When the princesses shopped as messed around we got a bit off of schedule but did not seem to affect wait times much.

The real key is Rope Drop. If you can not make every rope drop, DHS is the most important IMHO. Also follow his suggestions about where to be at DHS RD. When I went both days I was one of the first 5 people to get FPs for TSM then road it with less then a 5 minute wait.

Where are the suggestion about where to be for FP for TSM-is it under Tips and Hints? I can't find it. Thanks.

They print out on your plans if you have the tips button selected.

That's cool. Does it print tips for other attractions on your itenerary as well? I'm not going until June, so I haven't been able to make my schedule and print yet.

Yes it does print tips for other attractions too. Some are pretty generic like stand near the portrait of the woman with the parasol in the HM. Some others I have not seen on the boards so I will not put them up to the public.

One that I found out for myself is that at RNRC if you have already seen the pre-show to stand near the door to the left. There is another line after you leave the pre-show and if your at the door, you saved yourself waiting for about 30 people.

Just read the whole thread--subbing!!:thumbsup2

Since UG has our 1st week in May up from 5's to 8's, I think we need to subscribe!!:goodvibes

A couple of questions:

Would this program work if I have absolutely no clue what time we will enter the parks? I can estimate it would be anywhere between 9:30 - 11 AM (have 3 teens and there is NO telling how long any one or all of them might be ready to roll).

Also, another scenario is that two of the teens might break off from dh and ds and I, so again, if this happened would it mess up my plan?

The third question - I do want to use FP, but we might not have a runner. I'm in a wheelchair, dh pushing and ds would have difficultly taking off alone in any of the parks. So could all 3 of us go for the FP, somewhat less than running speed?

Well, it will make it more difficult - but you could probably do multiple plans for each day- one starting at 9:30, one at 10, one at 11, something like that. As far as splitting up - shouldn't be a problem, you keep on going with the plan and they're on their own ;) There is a checkbox for whether or not you want to utilize a FastPass runner. If you don't check it, it will have all of you go for a FP (or not use them if it determines that's better).

Hope that helps a bit!

I can not wait to use this for our May trip. My DH is so anti planning it isnt even funny. He wanted to just go and wing it....until I showed him the crowd predictions. We sat down and ran a couple versions and he is sold! Now I can wait until May actually gets here so I can make out the real thing! So far Im totally impressed!

I'm having so much fun playing with RM and getting our plans just how WE want them!! I think I've pretty much gotten our 1st day done - we'll be in the MK and most likely going back in the evening after CM for a few attractions and Spectro. We have very specific must-do's for this 1st day. If this works, it's AWESOME. On 5/2, the TP crowd level is a 9 and MK is neither a recommended or avoid park. For our "day" 9a-2p, we have no waits longer than 11 minutes!!!

I have one question though - do you think that Jungle Cruise Fast Passes will be available mid-afternoon? As I said, since this is our first day, we have certain MUST DO's (Fantasyland, Haunted Mansion, Frontierland and Pirates) that I have all scheduled during the day. Since we *think* we're coming back at night, I was hoping to do Jungle Cruise, Magic Carpets and the Treehouse then, and then watch Spectro. If we don't come back that night, no biggie, we'll be back in the MK at least 3 more times. (Another morning is planned for Tomorrowland and Toontown, btw). Anyways, I definitely want to keep those 3 for the possible evening (and not bump one of the MustDo's to the evening), so I haven't been able to get RM to have me getting a Late Fastpass for Jungle Cruise. Expected wait at 8 PM is 22 minutes. Not too bad at all, but if I can grab FastPasses on the way out around 2 PM, we should be able to use them at 8, right? Any thoughts on whether they'd be available then?

I can't wait until June comes out, but for now, I'm using Spring Break week to give me an idea of wait times, etc.

Subbing as I plan to purchase this for our end of Sept. trip because am taking a first time-guest along and want it to be as perfect as possible.
I wanted to book all the ADRs (as it's free dining) at the 90 day mark but if the subscription is only for 90 days that doesn't really work well. Getting specific restaurants is important to me and it has to fit into the general park plan.
Does RideMax tell you which park has the least crowds on a Sunday?
