Could you make a "morning" plan for FW and an "afternoon" plan for WS?

It still hops you all over the world. A general "tour of WS" was so much better. Then you could stop at the show you wanted to or wait a bit to see the show....pace yourself. Like I said before, I guess I could schedule a "break" in WS for a set amount of time. Just doesn't seem as easy as before.

Does any one know if I can install the ridemax software on two separate computers? I have my primary (larger) laptop that basically is used as a desktop which I rarely disconnect from my work area and I have a small portable mini laptop that I use when I travel.

Ideally I would like to use the program on my primary computer while making our plans in advance of our trip but would also like to be able to access the program from the mini while on vacation in the event that we need to change or modify our schedule while on site.

Can I do this? Am I allowed to do this?

I emailed Mark at RideMax last night to ask him the same question! Here's his answer:

"Jamie,

I just re-sent your registration email, which contains your registration code.

It's true that our license allows you to install RideMax on two computers, as long as you or the immediate members of your household are the only persons using the program. Just use the same download instructions for both machines.

Please also note that RideMax does require an internet connection each time you use the software, so if you wish to use RideMax on a laptop during your vacation you will need internet access from your hotel.

OK, question:

My sister and I are traveling together, staying at the same resort in different rooms with our husbands and kids.

We'll need the same touring plan for some days.

Let's say I choose to subscribe to Ridemax. Can we both download it? Or do I have to print up copies of each touring plan and send each to her for her OK, then try another if she doesn't like the first one?

We both work full time. I'm not big on Theft of Services, but it seems like it would make more sense for each of us to download it seperately (there are the 2 downloads) and compare notes that way. It doesn't make sense to me for each of us to subscribe, since we'll want the same touring plan for at least some days.

Any input?

Well based on the explanation that Jamie posted for me, you two could only share the program if you are members of the same household. If you live in separate households then according to the explanation that Jamie received you each would have to purchase the program.

If you are still in doubt email Mark at Ridemax like Jamie did and ask him about your situation.

Nah, I think I'll subscribe and do the research myself, then forward to her. Otherwise it opens up too much of a grey area.

I honestly don't see any reason for both of us to purchase the program. I'll make an assortment of plans, for my family, then we can see which ones she chooses to tag along for.

HELP!! Kind of frustrated with RM right now. I just went in to make my plan for Epcot this week. On a postitive note, they have now added in all of the shows for WS. Unfortunately, they no longer have the "3 hour" or 4 hour" tour of WS. So, you have to click on the shows you want to see. This is a big Bummer, it turns out. I did it and clicked on the shows we want to see....but now it has us bopping all over the park. Go to China, then back to Spaceship Earth, then to O Canada, then to Maelstrom, then to Test Track, then to Mexico, etc. Ridiculous! Fortunately, I saved one of my earlier plans, so we have that to fall back on. Hopefully it will work.

ANY HELP?? I just want it to give me back the option to tour the world in a set amount of time and we can hit the shows that we hit. I guess we can just schedule in a break...a long break...at one of the shows or something. But we wanted to know the best time to hit it.

Have you tried setting it to the "slow" touring option? I think that's supposed to eliminate/reduce the amount of going all over the place. I haven't tried it for Epcot yet, but it did the trick for us in MK - no more switching between lands, it lets us finish Fantasyland, then move on to another.

We've used RideMax since it became available for WDW. It has worked for us every time. My daughter and whichever friend accompanies her like to ride the coasters which makes me the designated FP runner. They get to ride and I get to walk- a lot but I love the program.

Just got back from our 9 day trip.

I made ridemax plans for each day and there were right on the money time wise. One thing we did find is that with my family, they like to go at a slower pace then what the ridemax plans called for. I used the regular setting and felt that we were rushed to get to the next attraction. Next time, I would use the slow pace. We found our self getting behind but this was not due to the times but more me traveling with 3 princesses that like to look in each and every shop.

One other area that we ran into trouble with was the time it took for TS meals. I allowed 75 minutes and many ended up being closer to 2 hours.

What I did find the most useful about my experience using RideMax is that it taught me most likely order to do things in. The tips were great especially the ones for TSM at RD.

Thanks a million for sharing that Dave. I've been looking at the difference in the UG and Ridemax for our upcoming trip. We've always used UG but I decided to try Ridemax because of all the great things I've heard as well as the crowds.

Did your RM plan include stocking up on FP's early then riding in the afternoon like ours does?

Thanks for the tips. I need to make sure all our plans are on "slow" mode!! The ADR tip is great, too. Were there specific places that took longer to eat at than others (Ie-- Did character meals take longer, etc?)? Thanks so much for the update! --Katie

Nope, June is not up yet. I did see when I loaded it up that there are drastically different show times at AK & DHS suggesting that plans be updated for those 2 parks over the Easter weeks.

I haven't been to WDW since I was 10 years old (Epcot was brand new). I'm seriously considering getting this for our trip at the end of this month.

EDIT: Just answered my own question!

See which park is recommended in the tips section for that day.Then find a plan for another day when that particular park is recommended. Make your plan according to the rides and attractions that you want to ride and see.

I used Saturday for our AK Sunday. The times were right on the money. The only park that I would not use it for would be DHS. Currently DHS has morning EMH and no Fantasmic!on Saturdays. While there is a Fantasmic! on Sundays. I would think picking another Fantasmic! day would be a better fit for DHS Sundays.
