RideMax Users Thread (FAQs Linked in First Post!)

I admit I haven't had a chance to read through all of this, so I'm sorry if this has already been posted. How does it work if you want to make ADR at the 90-day mark but you're not supposed to buy RM until after that point? Do you just pick your fav restaurants, buy RM, then call for your ADR that very day? Or should I go ahead and book ADR then just work those into the RM schedule?
I knew RideMax would be for me cause I'm soooooo O.C.D. I just really want to make sure we get to eat at the places we want. Thanks so much for your help!

You would make your RideMax plan around your ADRs. RideMax gives you the freedom of making the plan for what you want to do. While there are suggested parks for the day of the week, RM will make your plan for what ever park you are going to on that day.

Am I missing something does RMax give you best park days of the week. I am currently using TGMike for that? :)

Yes, RM also has a best parks section. There are also many tips but the meat of RM is the custom optimized plans.

To the OP requesting a refund. RM is a family company and they spend a lot of time in the parks. I am sure that you will get your refund shortly. Mark has always answered my emails with in a couple of days.

I have just downloaded ridemax too, it really helped us a lot on our trip to Disneyland last summer so I am hoping it will do the same for WDW.

Hi everyone, I had a quick question.

A few days ago I ordered Ridemax, played with it and didn't care for the touring plans. I know ya'll like it but it was't the touring plan for us.

Anyway, I emailed them to get a refund and I haven't heard anything back. Does anyone know how long it takes to get a refund?:hippie:
Wow, that's a first - never heard of anyone actually asking for a refund. I hope they really do honor them. LOL, Just kidding, I'm sure Mark will reply soon and take care of you. I can't help but be curious however, why did you not like RM? Can you be more specific than "it wasn't the touring plan for us"? It's configurable to "your" plan, whatever that may be, so this is a bit confusing. Please share with us what you didn't like about it.

I am a RM subscriber -- but I didn't see the section where they recommend which parks are best on which days.

Help?

Thanks,
Kris

Open RideMax. Pick a park and day. Then select Tips & Hints. Select Which Days, Which Parks. There they are.

I had an aha moment! I just noticed that if you go to the Tips & Hints and then Which Days, Which Parks that Ridemax has recommended parks through the end of July. So even though as of today I can only make a detailed ride itinerary through the end of May, I can still plan on which park to go to which day. Make your ADR's based on that info and then make your park itinerary plans a week or two beofre your trip.

Hope that helps. I'm so glad I discovered that today!

The refund was fully honored :thumbsup2
There were several places that I felt my own touring plan worked out better. It had me standing in line for EE for 37 minutes and that won't happen :rotfl2:
It seems to be a great program but there is very little wiggle room. I like to be able to change my plans on the fly if need be. It also didn't have a pixie hollow plan and that's a big one for us. I am not a newbie when it comes to touring plans at Disney and my own plan just works better for us :thumbsup2
I am not on here trying to make ridemax sound bad at all. We just have very different touring ideas

Working on my second MK morning today and have a question. Do you think 90 minutes is enough for Toontown for the following: Girls visit Fairies while boys go to Barnstormer and then we all meet up to see the Princesses. We will be there at 9:45 for Toontown "RD". I'm putting this in as a break in our plan, want to be sure to leave enough time.

Anybody eaten at Crystal Palace Lately-- not sure how long to put in RideMax for our late breakfast there-- Is 100 minutes about right (arrive 10 minutes before ADR and then 90 minutes to eat?)?

Also, do you guys think we should put up some RideMax FAQs on the first thread? If anyone wants to post some suggested FAQs, then I will cut and paste them and edit the first post. --Katie

That will be tight. But should be do able. The line for the Princesses is much shorter then the one for the Fairies. If you are in the first 10 families for the Fairies I think you can do this.

I agree, I could really use some help on estimating dining times. I know how long it takes for me to eat, but with this being WDW, not my favorite neighborhood resturant, I'm not sure how long to allow for meals. I was originally thinking 45 minuts for counter service, 60 minutes for buffets and 90 minutes for table service, but now I'm second guessing that.

Anyone have any recent experiece or "best guesses" on dining times in some of the in-park dining?

John

Thank you! We'll see how it goes. Right now I only have our plan going up until mine and DD's 12:10 CRT lunch ressie, nothing scheduled for after that, though we'll likely stay in the park for the parade. RM has us doing Monsters Inc. after Toontown, before the ADR; if we take longer in Toon, we'll just do that after lunch. That would leave us over 2 hours for Toon, plenty of time I would think!

Yep, and if you plan only runs till you ADR, you will probably be able to pick up some extra FP before you lunch to use in the afternoon.

If your running late get the Monsters Inc FP or if not, get some Buzz ones.

For our family, since we are meeting the princesses at our CRT lunch we don't bother with waiting in line at Toontown to see them. Just a suggestion...:cutie:

Thanks, but meeting Belle in her yellow dress is a MUST for DD. That's her favorite Princess and we'll be bringing her yellow dress to wear for it. And then changing into Cindrella dress for lunch, LOL!

Oh, good idea! We have Buzz planned for the AM (that, AstroOrbiter and the Speedway), but the kids might really like to do it again after lunch. And I forgot Monsters has FP, so we'll definitely get that if we can't hit it before lunch. Thanks!

For Buffets I have put in 60 minutes (same as you). For Table Service I put 60 minutes for a breakfast (since we don't wait on appetizers and desserts) and 75 minutes for lunch. I've alloted 90+ minutes for dinner but in general dinner ends the day for us and we don't do anything in the parks after dinner (with the exception of one day).

I really wish that they would come out with a RideMax feature for the iPhone and other portable devices. If you end up with an unexpected wait at a restaurant one afternoon (such as being seated way after your ADR - which is highly likely) then the rest of your schedule is messed up and there is no way to redo it on the fly in the parks. You just have to wing it which to me defeats the purpose of purchasing RideMax.

Gotcha!!:thumbsup2

Our DDs can be very specific!!;)
