My DH and I are taking our 11 month old daughter to DL and CA in 2 weeks!

What are rides that we can all go on together that she may enjoy? Is the new Toy Story ride OK for her? Any suggestions would be great! :cool1:

TIA! :woohoo:

You can pretty much take her on any ride that does not have a height restriction.

This would incude almost every ride in Fantasyland, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise, Finding Nemo and Winnie the Pooh. She might also get a kick out of ToonTown and visiting Mickey & Minnie's houses.

The new Toy Story Mania ride is very interactive and you would not be able to take full advantage of the ride and hold your daughter at the same time. Also, without the 3D glasses, I don't know what your daughter would actually see.

Also, there is absolutely no lap seating or holding a child allowed on Toy Story Midway Mania. With an 11 month old, I would think using the child switch pass for this ride would be in your best interests.

She would probably enjoy the Bug's Land area attractions with splash fountains. Monsters, Inc., Animation Studio with Turtle Talk with Crush, Playhouse Disney show are also good choices for a toddler.

At 11 months she is probably just learning to walk right? I know my grand kids (A little older but still small) loved getting wet at DCA more than any ride we took them on. There are two places and their most favorite was in the Play area with nets across from Grizzly river run (I think its called redwood or something like that, Its quiet and out of the way place to have less action around them). GO in and head left. There is a small stream about an inch deep and in some places a couple inches. The kids loved splashing in there most. They do require shoes so bring flip flops or extra sandles for her to wear in the water. Also dont forget a change of clothes and towel. The other water area is bigger and specifially set up for kids to run through near Bugs land. The kids didnt like that one as much because they had a lot of water quirting at them.

We took our DD to DW when she was about 13 months old and it was so easy. We basically took her on everything that we could. She went on Pirates, Buzz Lightyear Space ranger spin (actually slept through it) Dumbo, basically everything that didn't have the height restriction.

Now that she's 3 it's actually going to be harder to get her on rides since she now has the fear factor going on. At that age I would go for all you can, you will all have fun!

You are talking about "Redwood Creek Challenge Trail". Surprisingly this area has a 42" height requirement, but I'm pretty sure that's just for the play area where the kids clinb the cargo nets and stuff.

Actually, the 42" height requirement is just for the tire swing area and the rock climbing part also has a height requirement, but I think it may be shorter.

How do you think a 2 year 8 month old would do on the Toy Story ride?:confused3

DM is correct.

They are both 42". Our son is *just* under that (and we took him in there to distract him from not being that same height for Grizzly, ack!).

For the rope/tire thing, I understand the height req, and refused to let hubby cheat. See, there aren't CMs watching at the measuring stick.

But I was off to Grizzly, and hubby didn't think I saw the measuring stick for the rock wall, and he just walked Eamon past it. But DS has done wall climbing before and has the arms of a monkey (as is proper, since that's his asian zodiac symbol) with a crazy long reach, so I turned a blind eye and let them make their own decisions while I rode one of the Best Rides Ever (grizzly). :)

But yeah, it's 42 for both.

One of the things I thought was genius on TSMM is that the lap bars are split for the seats, so that you can sit a very small child down next to you and they are completely secure.
My just-turned-3 year old did fabulous and it held my 17 month old in very tightly (I still had an arm around her for the spinning parts, especially if you are in a rear facing seat to start) also did fine! The little one even had a score! (I almost think that if no one pulls the string, it still racks up some points so they don't feel they did badly!)
