Hello Everyone!!

I need some opionns/advice with regards to all the attractions!!

Im going in October with the whole family, and & I have 1 DS who will be 27 months old. My understanding is....any rides without a height restriction he can go on right?? He's 32 inches at the mo, but im sure he wont grow much taller between now and then.

Just wondering if any of you have taken a child around my DS age?? How did they find it? Is there much for him to go on? Haunted Mansion at MG has no age restriction & Pirates of the Carribean so could he ride them?? :confused3 Or would you personally think its too scary?! I really dont know!!! So anyone with experience i would love to hear from you!!!!

ps is there a site which lists ALL the attractions? xx THANKS!! xx

Your son could go on both Haunted Mansion and PoTC, but I can't tell you whether or not he'd be frightened... it all depends on the kid.

I find AllEarsNet.com a great source. It lists all of the attractions, height requirements, and has pictures of the ride vehicles.

You also might want to consider buying Unofficial Guide to WDW. It is the ultimate guidebook. It has an "appeal by age" rating for each attraction, tells you the best time to go, the duration, and approximate wait, plus a description and touring tips. It's a great resource.

That is so true. Kids at that age could not really understand being "scared" yet. And love the ride, while others could become frightened and not enjoy it. From my family, when my cousin was about 1, she ened up falling asleep on Haunted Mansion, but now that she's 4, she wont go on it. Her little sister (now 2) dos'nt love the ride, but she wont cry. Usually she just wants you to hold her while she rests her head on you shoulder. But as LittleMissMagic said, it all depends on the kid...

Check out this park map geared for LO's, which I found on Disneys website.

It was linked on this page:

The maps were created in conjuction with the Little Ones Travel Time program, no longer being done, but the information on them is still valid.j

edit to add, I guess I should mention, ds has been to WDW many times since he was 13mos old and he never really got scared of anything until he was about 4yrs old. I agree with pp that they don't seem to really understand anything well enough to be scared by it until they're a bit older. Of course, all kids are different...That was our experience anyway.

On our last trip we took our 1 yr old DD on everything we could and our nephew who was 28 mos went on everything he could also. He's a pretty big boy and was actually tall enough to go on Goofy's Barnstormin ride. Neither had any problems on any ride. We couldn't go on Pirates of the Caribbean because it was closed at the time. We had more problems with the 3, 4, and 5 yr old getting scared. It all depends on the ride and the kid. My DS, 5, was scared of ToT which my DD, 9, loved. But DD, 9, was scared of Dinosaur, DS wasn't. DD, 9, was scared on Haunted Mansion, but DD, 3, thought it was funny.

I've taken my two boys on Pirates and Haunted mansion since they were babies, one still is. It depends on the child. There was a maybe 2-3 year old in front of us screaming at the entrance because she was scared of Pirates but her parents carried her on anyways, and she cried the whole time. Just listen to your childs cues. My sons who are 1 and 2 love pirates. They both also like the Haunted Mansion. Don't worry too much about it, if they say they are scared and don't want to ride, then take them off.
