Well, tonight is the dress rehearsal for this weekend's skating show AND BOTH OF MY GIRLS are sick! Katie has a stomach bug, one that has been going around. Hopefully it's just a 24-hour bug and she'll be ready to go tonight.

Erin, on the other hand, ate some shrimp Wednesday night and is having quite a reaction to it. Her face is entirely puffed up now. The poor kid is absolutely devastated! Thankfully, it's not causing her any breathing problems, but there's not way she'll want to go on the ice and skate her solo looking the way she does. We're keeping her on Benadryl and it does seem to be helping.

Keep a good thought for these two, if you would, that they're both ready to go this weekend. They've worked SO HARD for this show....

Bernie, I had that happen to me when I used an almond face mask when I was a teenager. Put alot of moisturizer on her face to keep it supple. There's not a whole lot more you can do until it's out of the system.

What a nasty surprise this storm has been. I am thinking of driving up to Wiarton and digging up a certain weather forcasting groundhog and giving him a piece of my mind or worse.

Ah well, off to try and find my car. I left it outside last night somewhere in the general vicinity of that huge snowbank, hmmmm
