Riddle me this???

Good morning all! Clueless in Canada this morning too! I know I've heard this one before, but like so many things I think it went out faster than it went in!

Great pic Diane! It's great to finally see your face! Your house looks terrific!

Good luck today Boo'sMom! I hope that the surgeon has nothing but good news for you.

I haven't been on the DIS at all this weekend, so I guess I missed the latest blow up, but I'm glad about that! They always make me sad, and then I come running back here to be with all of you. I really miss the days that I can't come and play for a while here with my riddle family. You've all become an important part of my family, and I look forward to meeting all of you some day.

I'm having a hard time finishing my shopping, and last night I found out that we also have to do MIL's shopping for our family. I had to work all weekend and every day except Thursday and Sunday between now and Christmas. I guess that Thursday Len and I will have to blitz the shopping. We also have a potluck lunch with DD's class that day. We don't have a tree yet or any decorations except a wreath on the front door. It sure doesn't look like Christmas is just over a week away around here. It's white outside right now, but they're calling for it to gett warmer and melt the snow, so that doesn't help with getting in the mood.

Happy birthday to your DH Sandi!

Well, like the song says, "I get by with a little help from my friends" so I've sent a pm with my guess.

Morning, Baboo! THere was another blow up?!? I tend to miss most of them because I tend to not check in on the trouble makers. I get pretty good at ignoring those things!

DblD, I have learned to play MOST instruments, although some not very well! I have an insturmental music degree, so had to learn them all in college. Never mastered the violin though! I couldn't stand to listen to myself practice it! My Dad plays harmonica, but I have never quite gotten the hang of that either.

Happy Birthday to your DH, Sandi! :)

In answer to your question, DblD - GUITAR! I played some when I was younger, but I'd love to get back into it again. I was a drummer years ago, still have my drum set in my folks' attic - a pearl-white Gretsch - two bass drums, two rack toms, two floor toms and a variety of cymbals.

Lars - your DH sounds like my kinda guy! :) I hope you can get to DISCon one day. I gotta say - hoisting a Guinness with a hundred DIS friends around is a marvelous experience. :)

Breezy - glad you liked the package. Merry Christmas! :) (You didn't get the invite to join the bro's here???) :)

Baboo - good luck on Thursday! Put your head down and go go go!!!! :)

I have always secretly wanted to play the saxophone. I don't know exactly why....I guess I just really like the way they sound.

My DS plays the trumpet. He's in the 8th grade now and he is pretty good but that first year.....ugh!! Everytime he practiced it sounded like he was torturing a small moose.
It's amazing how much better they get in 2 short years:D

Diane-I love that shower curtain!

OK-I hope to get to Discon3...we're saving some DVC points just for that reason:D We'll have a toast to you at Rose & Crown in Feb though:D :p :D

I'll teach you how to play sax, Lars! It is my major instrument, but I mostly play flute now. I have to give up piano. The arthritis in the fingers make piano a lot harder than the other instruments. I doubt I could do guitar either for the same reason!

Baboo!
I almost missed posting these for you!

I have been kind of slow this morning. Not feeling at all well, and a little stressed with everything I have left to do for the holidays!

Hello, Riddlers! Boy - you folks get started REALLY early in the morning!! I KNEW I would stink at this. :( If this is an easy riddle - I'd hate to see the hard ones! :p

DD - I play the piano, too - but always regretted not learning to play an orchestral instrument. I think anything in the string family is lovely.

 Hi Nancy!!!! Welcome to the morning riddle! "Getting" the riddle answer is just a minor part of this ... most of it is the friendly banter and general silliness.

There are MANY days where I go "smartypants less". :p

Welcome to the riddle, Nancy IL!! You have to think like a child to get some of the riddles! That is most especially true when I am posting them!:p

LOL! When we are "smartypantsless" we do the nakey dance!

Thanks for the welcome, Laura and Diane! Guess it's been TOO long since I've thought like a child (as opposed to ACTING like one!) - cuz I'm still clueless..even with Diane's hint! ;)

Laura...I LOVE "friendly banter and general silliness"!:)

<center>NANCY!!!!!

WONDERFUL to see you here!

WELCOME TO THE RIDDLE!!!!
:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Those folks saying the riddle answer is secondary are absolutely right, Nancy! It's all about sharing some fun each morning. I'm so glad you've decided to stop in! It was a real pleasure spending some time with you at DISCon - looking forward to spending some time with you here too! :)

....And if you really want the answer, you could give some of the riddlers a toot! :)

BTW, Nancy, the last two posts were the type of clues we usually give here on the riddle!;)

Welcome Nancy!!! Always good to see someone new come and join in our morning fun!

Thanks for the pants Diane! It was getting a little chilly here without them!

LOL, Baboo! Sorry, I got sidetracked there for awhile. My stomach has been acting up today, so, you know....

Welcome to the fun Nancy !!

I'd love to learn to play the piano ... that being said I've never done anything about it :D

I played the clarinet when I was younger ... from the 5th grade to my sophomore year in college. I still have it ..... I remember how to play it and could probably still squeak out a few notes ..... but I'm sure the instrument would need an overhaul - all the pads have probably deteriorated by now !

My instrument of choice now is my voice ... I sing in a community college chorus now, and my ability to read music has been a big help in learning the pieces every session.

Great question, DblD !

Rock N Roll, BAYBAY!!!!

I want to play guitar! Big time! Took lessons for a short while as a kid, but am clueless. There are guitars all over this house, too, and one fine finger picker who plays a sweet melody.

Unfortunately, it ain't me!

I really ought to sit down and try. I've always thought I'd love it....

Hiya, Nancy! Welcome to the riddle!

I don't actually play any instrument, although I have taken lessons in piano, violin and bagpipes ( ) I also played the ukelele (badly) for a short period. I sometimes wish that I'd stuck with some of these, but I guess my heart just wasn't in it.
