Funny Leah story: A few months ago, we were talking about one of the girls in her Brownie troop who had moved away, but Leah kept insisting she had seen the girl at school. The little girl was obviously of mixed race, but we have only met her mother, who is white. One day, I said "Are you sure you've seen her at school? I think she moved back to Connecticut with her mom." Leah said "She's from Connecticut? I wondered why she was always so tan!!" LOL, Leah was totally serious about this! So if any of you need to work on your tans, don't head to the Bahamas, just go to Connecticut!

Change of subject for a minute.

Our niece was quoted in this week's issue of Time magazine about the club fire. She lives directly across the street from the club and we were concerned about her initially because she could have easily been there. DH happened to be reading the story published in time, and she's quoted in the last paragraph.
I only wish it were for a happier reason.

Gail, how has your niece been doing since then....even though, thank goodness she is "safe" when things like this hit so close to home, the toll it takes is hard to predict but often quite difficult to handle....
