Revival of the angry thread!

:rotfl: :rotfl2:

Just another typical day of dealing with the voter's for "change"!:thumbsup2

They are not hard to pick out when they take off their disguises and say things that give away who they really are....:lmao:

Glad you survived the day, sounds like tomorrow holds alot of hope for being a much better day!:goodvibes

I guess not only am I "Queen of the Otters", but now you can include "Queen of the Damned Fish"!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: (Shut up...it's not funny)

Deb....GOD, I LOVE you!!!!!! You've had a super retarded day...and you still have that special something to go the distance to make us laugh....you really ARE QUEEN (of the damned.........fish!!!)

Not only that.... but Queen's music is eternal! The most wonderfully bazaar group that I ever heard perform Boehemian Rhapsody was a professional handbell ringer group from Raleigh N.C. They are called the Raleigh Ringers. I can't find a youtube of Bohemian Rhapsody, but enjoy this one of "The Wizards in Winter". Turn up your volume!

So inquiring minds want to know, did the MS Word auto recover feature save your letter to Obama?:rotfl2: Or will you have to start all over with requests for more street sweepers and animal control officers in your town?

Just kidding, hope your day and evening are going better now!

So inquiring minds want to know, did the MS Word auto recover feature save your letter to Obama?

Maybe THAT's the reason the transformers blew! My fingers must have been flying faster than the power company could provide power to me!!!

No...I was working on the bulletin for this Sunday's service, and because I put the entire service (music and all) into the bulletin - it's a pretty time consuming document.

I won't know about the auto recovery until I get into the office today. My experience with that is when Micro-Soft gives you the "We're sorry but Micro-Soft is experiencing diffuculty...blah, blah, blah." I'm afraid that function won't work when all of a sudden your power goes out. <sigh>

Thanks for the well-wishes...I hope it works! :thumbsup2

Debbie, Debbie, Debbie.......:rotfl2:

You should write greeting cards or something

How's this?

God must be smiling upon you today.
It must be your birthday! Hey, hey, hey!

From the heavens above to the ground below,
anything can appear, you just never know.

When the skies open wide, oh WHAT will unfurl?
Some snow, or rain, or maybe....dead squirrel.

Happy birthday to you, may you get all that you wish!
From me, dear friend, come buckets of DEAD FISH!!

BOY! That'll be a big seller with Hallmark!! I'm a regular Mr. Deeds!

Miss Ami - you are here-by ORDERED to have a fantastic Valentine Weekend!! :thumbsup2

For the rest of you inquiring minds.....

The dead fish and squirrels have quit falling from the heavens, although there are a lot of buzzards still circling the lake! :scared1:

When I pulled into the parking lot this morning, our janitor (who is Laotian) was cleaning up the dead fish. He had a couple of 5 gallon plastic buckets that he was putting the fish into - but he had the buckets stuffed in plastic bags. He doesn't speak a lot of english - so it can be difficult to communicate, but I think what he was trying to tell me was that he was going to "take home - put in garden". Ahhhh....fertilizer!!! I'm good with that - as long as I don't have to deal with dead fish.

The bulletin I was working on yesterday when the power transformers blew did in fact end up in cyber-space - so I got to do all that work ----AGAIN! The rest of my day has been dull and uneventful. Ahhhhhh......

Ok..I love craigslist. Its a very helpful way of networking the entire planet with with goods to sell, donate, or purchase.....OR SCAM!!!

2 weeks ago, I posted a "Wanted, used pop up camper for under $1000" ad,
I got several replies...all of them obvious scams, with the typical "scammer's broken english" with signs that they hadnt even BOTHERED to actually READ my ad, simply replying to an email in hopes that the poster of the ad was retarded enough to fall into thier ignorance.
BUT THIS ONE........THIS ONE....This guy actually knew he was scamming someone who actually had an RV(which I dont)... Just thought you guys might like the warning...keep an eye out for craigslist responses. And if you even bother to reply to any of the responses...be creative!!

Heres a copy of my latest exchange, keep in mind..my ad was to "purchase a pop up...not to sell one.:

---------My reply to this MORAN with a capitol A-----

Its a 1959 CrapCruiser, I replaced the original ethynol burning engine with 4 really strong hampsters and some souped up hampster wheels...as long as the hampsters a fed and watered, it runs like a dream. The sofa converts to a sleepr large enough for 2 horny midgets, and the dinette converts to a sleeper large enough for a rotting corpse. the tires are in good shape for their age, but are original. The small oven worked last time I used it when I had Jefferey Dahmer over for brunch...he preparred the meal in it. All the water functions work properly, as long as you dont mind swimming while you drive...we think of it as a built in pool..but Im not charging extra for that. If your still interested in purchasing this unique RV, my asking price is 4 human skulls(weighing at least 8 pounds each), and a case of Fresca. I do not have the actual title, but a certificate of death will be supplied upon full payment. Call me on my cell at 800-eat-****.

Have a nice Valentines Day-
Rog

I hope he writes back...this could be a fun hobby.

Thanks Rog, I needed a laugh!

I came to this thread to rant and rave a little myself, my 4 month old laptop broke last night, *(as those in the chat room can attest) and I was not a happy camper! The a/c plug broke off inside the case and now it won't charge the battery or run on a/c. So I call toshiba this AM and they are going to fix it, but may take 4-6 weeks if I mail it to them!!!! I can take it to a "local" place and have them fix it, but the closet one is about 35 miles away... and god knows what kind of problems with payment etc I am gonna run into....

So here I sit at my old antique outdated crusty but reliable desktop typing away.... this sucker is like 11 yrs old and still runs, it is slower than molasses in January, but hey, at least it still works.

So I may not be on as much because:

1. Sitting in this chair is the most uncomfortable thing I do all day
2. I have no patience at all, so after about 5 minutes of waiting on this thing I may toss it out the window
3. I am just in a foul mood in general, and this isn't helping
4. All my damn passwords are stored on that boat anchor of a laptop and I can't get into any of my website stuff :headache:

OMG that is so funny, especially your response.

We have a few things we would like to sell but the thought of dealing with these types of people and the horror of actually having one of them come to our home has kept us from listing anything anywhere. :sad1:

I'm sorry BDR, why do some people have to ruin it for everyone? Jerks. Make sure you report him to Craig's List.

I also wanted to say that my first "almost pop up purchase" was AWFUL! It was in Atlanta as well and it was exactly what I wanted....a 1980's Apache Ramada, those of you who are into popups knows how coveted this one is (all Apache hard sides actually) but this one? This one was the crown jewel.

No canvas, all ABS hardside pop up walls, hot water heater, shower....ohhhhh how I wanted it! I had been looking for one for years, literally years! I called the seller, emailed back and forth, bought it, made arrangements to bring cash and pick it up. As we were getting on I-85 he called to tell me he was sorry but someone drove up and offered him more money and they were already there so he sold it to them instead. How could he do that? We had already agreed and made the sale. He didn't even give me a chance to counter offer. :sad1:

Yes, as a matter of fact I did cry. I cried AND CRIED. I was pretty sure my brother and father (who both think I'm 12) were going to drive to Atlanta and pop him a good one....they don't do very well with tears I'm afraid.

He called back later and left a message (I was too busy crying to answer the phone) that his wife was very angry over how he handled everything and he was very sorry. I hope she made him sleep on the couch for 2 weeks with no...well...you know.

So I was very leery when the next deal came along, but oh what a wonderful deal it was! Keep trying BDR, you'll find something perfect I just know it!

OMG, Rog!!! Your reply was priceless!(especially the sofa/bed for midgets)!

Be prepared - they are probably stupid enough to reply (or try the toll-free number)!

DH & I almost bought one of those when they first came out. I don't recall the exact price anymore, but I do remember after talking with the saleman & then our credit union, the payment was more than I felt we could comfortably afford at the time.

We ended up buying a 2 year old Starcraft Venture from a co-worker & saved a bundle of money. I loved our pop-up! Don't want to go back, but sure enjoy the memories.

We had someone bring in an older popup that they had purchased from an individual and never even opened it up. They were told that the lift cables needed to be adjusted to get it to open. Well we got it open it took 4 of us to lift the waterlogged top and it had ripped out the cables from the weight. Also the canvas was in very bad condition and the whole thing was molded.
It is amazing how stupid some people can be.
