I am still mad.... my overnight laptop repair is now going on over a week, with no end in sight....

I'm mad ....why is it that you LOOSE the child tax credit when kids reach a certain age. I mean give me a break! They're in college...living home....sucking money out of your wallet like a human vacuum...but Nooooooo....they are too old for you to claim the child tax credit now. Jeeze Louise...they cost you more at this age then they did when they were five. For crying out loud! I mean shouldn't you be able to claim an "AGGRAVATION tax credit instead? ...Noooooo....
Can you tell I got my taxes back from the accountant..and was NOT so happy with the results! I guess I shouldn't complain too much..at least we are getting a refund..but sheesh...These kids grow up...move out and then COME BACK! The accountants advice..."Change the locks"...
The more I think about it..the better it sounds.

I feel your pain!!! Also, if they are still your "dependent", they can't get the stimulous credit. They got you comin and goin!!! And they are "adults", so even though you are payin the bill, the doctor won't talk to you, the college won't talk to you, etc., etc. I've got a feelin this privacy act my have a lot to do with why young folks have a problem handlin stuff. They're parents took care of it for years, then all of sudden the parents aren't even allowed to help cause it violates some privacy act, and through laziness or just not being able to grasp all the paperwork, a bill all of a sudden is overdue and their credit starts on a downward slope.

This happened to my in-laws. Their youngest was seeing a Dr for something. The Dr told my in-laws that unless my brother-in-law wanted them to know (which he didn't), they would basically be told nothing. My father-in-law then informed the Dr that since my bil was considered an adult, she could also bill my bil, but not to hold her breath waiting for THAT payment!!!

Oh..I know they're on your insurance..but they're 18...and if you call to inquire about a charge, the company won't speak to you. As if the kid knows anything about it. Yeah..good luck with that!

If it makes you feel any better my BP is probably hanging somewhere near yours. I just got a call from Chase that my credit card is in Switzerland.......

What is really funny is that my husband won't fly or I could possibly be the one that is there using it.

I really hate where this country is headed thanks to PEBO. He is really scary and REALLY stupid. We are soooooo screwed!

While I am at it(and because my renter gets free surgery and health care and it pizzes me off that he gets to go to the Dr. this week and not pay a dam dime), I am so sick of paying my own health insurance, paying MY OWN bills and watching other trash use the system(MY MONEY) to live off of. Now I am going to bail out the pond scum so that they can live the American dream and stay in the house they can't pay for. AND the "citizens" can continue to get free health care for their "little citizens" while I pay $250 a month for NOTHING!

God forbid he had to pay for his kids to go to the doctor or for their medicines...that is what I AM HERE FOR!!!!

Sorry Frank, I sometimes watch/read too much news. If I would just stay on here, I could remain in a happy place. Though I tend to occasionally wander to the CB to stir up trouble when I need to release some pent up anger.

since everyone else is venting here i go
the darn jazzs in the parks are outta control i think it is awesome when grandmom or pop or some one who has disabilities or even a temp disability (ie broken leg ect) that cannot get around the park had this option it is wonderful that the parks accomdate them with the lines and shows however with that said!!! the people are getting crazy there was a cuple my age 34 at seaworld who had 2 jazzys almost ran me and my kids over got to thier jazzy seating area bth got up and walked without so much a limp and sat down in the prefurred area ( i am a platium member i always get excellent seating so where they seat dosent affect me at all) however i do understand that people have underlining conditions that they may walk right and and cant handle the walk around the park however there are just way to many lazy people who take advantage. i think the parks should need a drs note to use them you will see how many less there will be around the park

I havta agree with you. We have been doing the parks since the first one opened in 1973,,and from my experience for the last 15 years the parks have been generally consistent in attendance each year. Also from my experience I have noticed that, each year, either a extreme amount of unhealthy folk who need to use jazzy or heel chairs are really hitt'n the parks,,,OR folk are really abusing the jazzy and wheel chairs to their own advantage.

I am more likely to believe the abuse.

I have to chime in about the scooters. We saw an entire family making a train in MGM several years ago. The parents disability was that they so fat (not to offend anyone) that they couldn't walk probably in the #350-#400 range. Ok that being a disability fine but all three of thier kids had one also and none of them looked disabeled especially the teen age son who looked pretty buff to me.
I think they should adopt the same kind of pollicy as FW golf cart. Show proof of a dissability or handicap or walk like the rest of us. It might do them some good
