I am working on adding pictures, but right now I am just coming up with the red x.
The cast was myself, DH and our 3 kids (a 7 yo and two 18 month olds) plus my parents and my neice who is 7.
Pepper Market- We actually ate there 3 or 4 times, so I will just give a summary. The cheeseburgers there are WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!! Loved them very much. Tried the Mexican food like Fajitas and Quesadilla and it was average, not much flavor. My parents had the steak the first night and thought it was just ok. They decided to give it another try later and said it was fabulous. DH had the salmon and it was great.
Let me say about Pepper Market that I thought they seriously needed more employees behind the counters. The place was never all that busy, but every time I went to order the kids food, I had to wait several minutes. I personally think this place is chaos and needs some fixing. I spent all my time running from one place to the other getting food. When the kids wanted chicken strips, they said they needed to make more so it would be 7 minutes. Ok, so I went to order my burger and that will take 7 minutes then the steak will take 10. I could not even keep up with what I had going where, plus this left my husband at the table trying to control the twins. Once I finally got everyones food to them I realized I did not have my card punched for the kids meals so I had to go back and wait in line to get that done. Then, there is the wait for dessert. There was always only one person there to get dessert and always a line. This place is certainly bang for your buck on the DDP and was convenient for us since we were staying at CSR, I just wish it was easier to get the food.
Hollywood & Vine lunch The characters here are just wonderful. The kids had a blast here. The food was awful to put it mildly. Nothing seemed to have any seasoning. This was our 4th time at this place and hopefully it will be our last. The first two times we ate there was right when they opened and the food was excellent. Since then, it has been borderline disgusting. I tried nearly every hot item at the buffet and it was only edible with lots of salt. What was worse was the bill - for 4 adults and 2 kids it was well over $150.
Are you kidding me? The gratuity was nearly $25. WAY overpriced IMO.
Tutto Italiano dinner We loved the rest. that was here before this one, so we were excited about this meal. It totally lived up to our expectations. This place was FABULOUS. Everyone loved everything they ordered. My parents had the lamb, although I don't see that on the allears menu. I had the black pasta with shrimp in the spicy sauce. Again I don't see that on the menu at allears so perhaps the menu has been updated. Regardless, it was all TDF. I had the Copetta Sotto Bosco for dessert and am still dreaming about that. The other super positive to this place is there is a place to wait inside. Most other places you have to wait outdoors and it was hotter than hell outside, so it was nice to wait inside.
yum yum
Crystal Palace dinner This is a must do for us on every trip. It was crazy hard to get in this place this time, but about 2 weeks before our trip I finally got in. I was excited to barely get in at 3:20pm just in time for dinner so I could get the prime rib, but they were not serving prime rib this time.
That was a real bummer, but they did have some tasty roast beef. I have never had anything here that was not good. I have been eating here for years and it is the most consistantly good place in WDW to me. Again it was wonderful.
Tusker House lunch Perhaps we are not as adventure as I thought. I am the only one that thought some of the food here was good. I stuck to the basics and thought it was a good meal, but everyone else hated it. They complained the food was strange and dad said everything tasted like it was all cooked together. I hated those stupid straws because I felt like I was drinking paper. You do have to be a little adventurous food wise for this place, but they had mashed potatoes, some salad and even some steak, so that satisfied me. However, my family will kill me if I make them eat here again. (We had eaten here when it was counter service and these same people LOVED it)
Chef Mickey's breakfast We had been at CM for dinner about 4 years ago and were not impressed, but we kept hearing how great breakfast was, so we gave it a try. Our reservation was at 8:05am and that was TOUGH to get to, but we made it and it was worth it. The food was AWESOME and the characters were fabulous as well. Well worth getting up early for. Everyone in our party gave this place a big thumbs up. French toast, eggs, veggy lasanga (sp?), etc. was all great
Maya Grill dinner We missed our reservations at Coral Reef
because we slept through it, so we trotted over to the Maya Grill without reservations and were seated immediately. We all had the steak and it was fabulous. This meal was really a surprise as we were not expecting it to be quite so good. The desserts here were just so so here, but the entrees were so good, we did not care.
Whispering Canyon lunch This was our first time here and everyone got the skillet. It was a great and reasonably priced meals. There was fun and games that we were not too interested in, but the nice thing is that you don't have to participate in the silliness if you don't want to. We were so busy eating, we sort of ignored everything else. The ribs and the chicken were super good and those mashed potatoes were amazing. A great meal!!!!!
We ate at Pizza Planet for lunch at DHS and that was ok. Nothing to write much about, but a decent meal. I never can find food at DHS that I love.
We had a great meal at Sunshine Seasons at Epcot. We knew there was probably better food in the World Showcase, but it was too hot to walk there. I was not happy we were going to eat here to begin with, but it turned out to be very good. I had the Half Rotisserie Chicken and it was really delicious.
My parents had not been to WDW in 4 years and they said they could tell a significant decline in the food. However, all in all, we had some really great meals, so no complaints here.
Thanks for reading.
