We will be leaving to go to WDW in just 5 short weeks...... We have not been for 2 years and have not expierenced Soarin. Any reviews?

Soarin' is a must see/do. While my DW goes to WDW to allow me to get my fix, Soarin' is one of the few attractions that are must do's/see's for her. On our last trip, we rode it just prior to EMH starting. As we exited the ride, we immediately got back in line to ride it again.

Absolutely incredible ride. Make sure you are there for park opening and you need a fast pass (if the line says 90 minutes - you are in line for 90 minutes). I arrived when the park opened, grabbed a fastpass and then stood in line (10 minutes) and then rode it again.

The ride is great - combination of sights and smells and movement - wow!

You will love this ride

Very cool attraction. Really enjoyed it! The wait in line is fun -- along the wall there are various nature-type scenes and multiple-choice questions are flashed on the screen. Helps pass the time while waiting. :thumbsup2

P.S. -- welcome to the DIS, love your user name! ;)

This is a great ride and has now become our ATF in Epcot. The special effects of smells and wind make it very realistic.

Have fun!

Must Do!! Do not miss it. We rode it last summer for the first time and loved it. We must have rode it 5 times in one day.

Have a great trip. We leave in less than 5 weeks too!!

We got to do Soarin' for the 1st time in December and it's now one of my favorite attractions! I can't wait to ride it again!

There are a lot of subtle effects on this ride. I wanted to ride it again but that stand by line is loooooong!

Get a Fast Pass and enjoy!

I get scared in ferris wheels. I think it's because I have no security device holding me.

Should I skip it? But then again, I do ToT. Maybe the seat belt will allow me not to be scared.

I heard they may change the film currently on when the happiest Celebrations ends.. Anyone eles here this? :)

There are rumors floating about the film being changed. The rumors are something to do with FL or around the world to stay with the EPCOT theme.

I LOVE THIS RIDE and I have a fear of flying on airplanes! Soarin is the most amazing ride I have been on! I love the smells, the movement and it's so fun to watch everyone's reactions. I did hold on tight a few times :) however, we rode Soarin three times this past week. Twice on Friday alone!!!

Disney has really done a great job on this ride. Our first time we got the middle section (B) and the top row. You don't see anyone's feet dangling and you really get the feeling of flying!!!

I just didn't get what the uproar was with this one. I thought the scenery cuts were too abrupt and in an order that made no sense. Also, the screen we were at had a noticeable rip in it. On top of all that, the show/ride was incredibly short. It came in at a VERY distant fourth place behind Mission Space, Turtle Talk and Test Track, IMHO. FWIW, I'm not saying don't do it. Just lower your expectations a bit.

LLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVEEEEEEEEE it!!!!! Long wait though both times I've gone. Use a fastpass!

I agree, actually. It was fun, but I didn't find it to be as AMAZING as everyone claimed it was. If I had waited any longer than 10 minutes for it I would have been disappointed. I would ride it again, but I'm just saying that I didn't love it.

Another on the "didn't get the hype" side. We rode immediately after the gates opened and the rope dropped, waited ten minutes to ride. Sure, it's neat that the scents match the scenes, but other than that I didn't it was such a big "WoW" like I've read since it opened. I'll ride it again, no doubt - and it would be awesome if they changed the film to either FL or to the World.

I went in February with my parents, who are usually non-committal about EVERYTHING especially my dad). But after our first time on Soarin', my dad said "I think we'll need to do that again". The only other ride he's ever said that about is TOT (but for very different reasons).

Awesome ride... not for the thrill seeker but a favorite of mine!!!!

This is a ride the entire family can enjoy. We love this ride and try to get it in at least twice or more in our trips. My DGD (4) thought it was wonderful and she is very shy of rides. My MIL loved it (70) and DS 22. Enjoy it, I was afraid of motion sickness, but had none at all.. :thumbsup2 :sunny:
