LL has a review of the Sony 500mm Reflex lens. For anyone not familiar with reflex lenses, they are very different. They work with mirrors instead of lenses. They are cheap ($650 compared with Canon's $5,600), light (1.5lbs compared to Canon's 8.5lbs), and small (4.6" compared to Canon's 15.2"). On the downside, they have a fixed aperture (f/8 in this case). They also suffer from lots of image quality problems (bad vignetting and horrible bokeh). Sony's is the first I've seen that is autofocus.
If you have a Sony/Minolta body and are itching for a really cheap, long lens and aren't extremely fussy about image quality, check it out.
