Ok finally think I have decided on my ADRs for our january 24th-29th trip!
Traveling will be myself, hubby, my mom(grams), and our 2 year old son! his birthday and first trip!

We are on the disney dining plan (fingers crossed for a discount to come!)
Sunday- Chef Mickey Dinner
Monday- Via Napoli Dinner
Tuesday- Tusker House Breakfast
Wednesday- Cape May Dinner
Thursday- Ohana Dinner

We are not getting a park hopper so I had to plan accordingly.
Opinions? Will my 2 year old be happy? favorite foods at each??
Thank you so much!!

Are you wanting to do a lot of character meals? I ask because you have two (Chef Mickey's and Tusker House) and then two places that have characters, but don't have them when you'll be there (Cape May Cafe and 'Ohana). The only one that I'd be a little unsure of is Cape May Dinner. It's a buffet, without any characters. What are your plans for that day?

We wanted a few character meals. The main reason I went with so many buffet type meals was to make plate sharing with my 2 year old easier. We didn't want to have to get him his own food or have to order something we didn't really want so we can share with him.
The Cape May buffet is for our HS day so we can take the boat over after we are finished. My hubby also loves seafood so this one is for him.

I've eaten at all those places, except Via Napoli which we are trying for the first time this trip. My son was 2 for Chef Mickey (we did breakfast), Ohana, and Tusker House. He was 4 when we did dinner at Cape May. The adults enjoyed all of these places. Ohana is a must do every trip. Tusker House was one of our favorite breakfasts. They have some different options along with all the standards. My son also liked each of these. He loved the character meals and was so excited to take pictures with them. Ohana is louder and has a lot going on which was perfect for him. We didn't have to worry about him being too noisy and he was occupied by the different kids activities around him even if he didn't participate in them. Buffets worked out well for us since at 2 he was free and allowed to share. We were easily able to find him food that he liked at each of these. Sounds like you have a good plan to me!

I would agree as well, the great thing about Ohana is that if your child does not like the all you can eat the staff there was always able to get chicken nuggets and fries from Kona I believe for the picky eater.

To the OP you stated you were not getting hoppers i know it is a added expense but you may want to consider it.

We were planning to save the money and also with our 2 year old this is a very different trip then we are used to so we plan to take it slow and enjoy one park a day. morning at the park, break at the hotel, dinner then back to the park for nighttime fun.
It definitely a little scary weather wise but fingers crossed!

Definitely understandable I think your ADRs are great enjoy your trip !!

We wanted a few character meals.

Tusker House was one of the best meals and character experiences we've had during our trips. Highly recommend this one -- if you had to choose to keep this or Chef Mickey's, I'd definitely keep Tusker House.

I think your plans are fine, but I did want you to know that if you had chosen TS meals that you odered off of the menu, the portions are generaly large enough to have a plate made up fo your little one. Also, the childrens meals are generally really inexpensive, so if you had to order him something, the cost would be minimal. ,

They look good to me, but as someone stated before Cape May wouldn't be a great choice, and even if characters were there for dinner, its the same as Chef Mickey's. I would do Biergarten instead. Also since you will meet Mickey & Friends at Tusker House, why not replace Chef Mickey's with Crystal Palace to meet winnie the pooh?

I am actually considering changing Chef Mickey's to BOG (fingers crossed I get it) or crystal palace dinner.
I want to stay close or in MK for that Sunday Res.
We are definitely keeping Tusker House so will get the fab 5 there.
