How much does the mummy ride shake or jostle your spine?

There are a few quick stops during the ride

That is the only time I feel the force of a quick stop

Does not bother my back but I brace myself in those parts so my waist doesn't touch the lap bar

Quick stop at the end of the ride

Quick stop in two sections where the ride stops for you to hear and view some special effects in the rooms

The quick stop doesn't bother me. The subsequent head banging does. I was hoping to be able to ride Mummy, but it sounds like I won't.

That it the one in Hollywood, but the ride experience is very similar. The part where the ride comes up to the dead end wall is the worst "sudden stop". There is no real head banging...and there aren't over-the-shoulder restraints (like on Hulk) for your head to hit.

Definitely no head banging... It's all in the gut/chest, LOL! If you know when to expect it, you can brace yourself.... but one can always hear the "oof!" from the people who are riding for the first time.

I love the mummy. I hate Expedition Everest....hate the backward part and the drop is more intense. I hate Tower of terror. I've never been on transformers or FJ because I get motion sickness. I wouldn't even consider the hulk or Ripsaw falls. I love Dinosaur.

The drop on mummy is similar to Gringotts. But the rest of the ride is more intense in the way it whips you around in the dark. I did bang my head the first time, but now I know when the wall is coming and keep my head forward. I love the air time. It's my favorite ride at Universal.

I work with a girl who hates mummy. She said she is afraid of fire. She asked if there was any fire on the ride and the CM told her no.....LOL! So, one last thing to mention....if you have a fear of fire, do not go on mummy.
