Reusing Magic Bands?

I know this information might be on the boards somewhere, but I've been asked this question and would like to find the answer quickly
I believe they were used for a trip in August and they are now returning the end of this month. Can they link the bands from the last trip to this trip?

Yes.
And, there is no “linking” of MBs required.
Any MB from previous trips (if not intentionally “deactivated” by the guest)
will still be linked and ready for use with any tickets linked to MDX.

Magicbands are linked to an account, not a specific trip or ticket. It’s just a way to access the stuff in the online account. The battery in magicbands that allows long-rage stuff to happen has an average lifespan of two years- but can last longer or shorter. This is stuff like seeing your name on Small World and photos/videos being automatically added to the account. Things that require a physical tap, like using a fp, do not use the battery.
