Reunion Station News

Reunion station is a stand alone building right? The thing I’ve always loved about staying CL at any resort is the convenience of the proximity to our room... especially for the morning breakfast. Not sure I like the “out of the way” feel this has.

Yes it is. It's a section of the building that also houses Geyser Point restaurant and the counter service there.

So I didn’t realize that you don’t even get afternoon snacks/drinks like traditional CL? At least that’s how it sounds according to this article. You should get a free class a day or something with that price... and Ive been a die hard CL supporter for years on cash.

Nope!!!! No afternoon snacks or alcohol during the day (other than the evening appetizer hours). It’s definitely nothing like the regular hotel CL. We were beyond excited about this... key word being ‘were’ lol

To be blunt, I was never excited about this addition since it was going to cost serious dollars; however, if we're correct in our assumption of no afternoon spread, then the value seems very diluted. I chuckled when I read the title of the article: "Cast Members Celebrate the Opening. . ." Perhaps no one else did? ;)

:rotfl: That’s hysterical!
But I should clarify - I was excited about CL, thinking it would be in line with the hotel CL’s... when I saw what they’re offering, along with the rediculous price, I said absolutely not. If they let us participate in the hotel CL, as well as offer us the same benefits as a CL guest (like AKL), I’m in!

Correct - it's a little crazy! We've done the DVC AKV concierge a number of times. There's only an hour or so during the day that something isn't offered! Then there's this which has no offerings most of the day.

I was excited about it too.. I’m surprised at Disney.. don’t they do test groups for stuff like this? I feel like they are way off base with this one. I want CL SO BAD!!

Read a review about the opening on FB. The ONE couple (you read that right - two people total) that had signed up through the first two days are very busy trying to convince everybody that it's great. I'm glad they like it. I think I'll keep my money. When you can only get two DVC Members to participate, you know you have issues. Guess that's why they didn't release a lot of photos of the Grand Opening - more CMs than guests. ;)

i was initially excited about this. However, the very limited hours, high price and the fact that you have to hike out of the building to use it will preclude us. Looks like grocery delivery service will still be our go-to.

Which fb page was it?

Someone just posted a photo on Facebook. Wine was cheap wine, a bit of pasta to eat. Didn’t look to be worth the $200 a night it would cost my family. I could get a good room most places for that.

Yes... don’t like that it’s not convenient to the rooms... if I’m gonna leave my room and hike all the way down there, I might as well grab a qs breakfast

Can you share the photos with us?

DH and I are stopping at WDW for 1 night before our cruise in Oct and we are staying at CCV so I booked this RS thing for us. I would love to see this couple's FB posts. How can I find it? Thanks.
