Returning Western Cruisers - I Have Dining Questions

I've been excitedly reading all the posts from you lucky inaugural cruisers, and I have a couple of questions. First, when was your character breakfast? Second, in looking at the Navigator that Barb posted, I noticed brunch was served at Palo's only one day! Is this correct? We really wanted to have brunch when we go next April, but I can't imagine how hard it would be to get a ressie if it's only offered once.

In answer to your questions:

The character breakfast was on Monday morning at the same resturant where you would be dining that night (ours was in Parrot Cay).

The brunch was available on both of the "At Sea" days which were Monday and Thursday. The DIS'ers that were there had ours on Monday and the service was EXCELLENT (thanks, Zita!) I did notice that Monday's brunch reservations filled up VERY quickly - we went straight to Palo's when we got onboard and it was already filled, but Thursday's were still open.

Jim, so you all had brunch at Palo's instead of going to the character breakfast? Which I guess means if you want to attend the character breakfast, your only choice for Palo's brunch is Thursday?

Jim, a little correction. Character breakfast was served 3 different days. Sunday, Monday and Thursday, depending on your rotation. We were PLAPLAP and ours was Thursday. I think the APLAPLA was Sunday with the LAPLAPL on Monday.

Since we didn't get to Key West until mid-day on Sunday, they counted Sunday as a day at sea for the character breakfast.

As far as the character breakfast and Palo's brunch, we did both. We went to the breakfast first, but didn't eat too much, then went to Palo's.
