Returning- Spring Quarter for Year Round Swap - Due April 5

I'm getting there! (for jazzy read brights!) Each set may be slightly differnt colours - I'm pondering on the lettering - but I just had a  - I've got a cute candle embosser I got as part of a Christmas set which will be perfect :goodvibes Susie, when you did the dark green colour swap set which had some gold on the embossing, what did you use? Would cats eyes do it (if I'm careful :scared1: ) or do I need to get something different?

I looked at the UTTE (or whatever its called) online but it was £7.99 a pot so I think I'll stick with embossing for the moment :rolleyes1

I honestly don't remember what that one looks like.....I do remember using gold cats eye on something

The cats eye will work if you are very careful. Just glide the pad over the top. Don't press down, just scrape it across. You will need to do it more than once. If, for some reason that just isn't working, a cotton swab make work also. You can press hard with the swab and it should be small enough to not go where you don't want it to go.

I'm checking in... My plan is to start this one when I crop on March 1st.
S :)

Still haven't really put any thought into this yet. Halfway done with the recipe swap, so when that's done, I will concentrate on this full-on. ;)

I'm taking the colour swap (2/3 of it!) on vacation for inking and assembly, so I'll tackle this when I get back. Hours of cutting has done my back in:lmao:

But at least I (sort of) have an idea now - it can simmer while I'm away:goodvibes

Update:
I got the stuff for the topper cut out, and found some cute buttons in the Dollar Spot at Target and some confetti at Target as well. So it looks like I'm making a shaker box and a paper piecing.

I'm making progress.

I started the Valentine's Day group last night...cut it wrong 2 times:headache: Fortunately, I always buy too much paper. I hope to finish assembling it tonight.

I've got all of my Easter stuff--going to cut some of it out tonight! :thumbsup2

Hey! I was just working on my stuff. (I know! I'm actually on time! :)) I was wondering if anyone in the birthday group would mine if I did Hippo Birdie instead of Happy Birthday. At our house, we always sing Hippo Birdie Two Ewes instead of Happy Birthday to you. I know. We're all dorks. :rolleyes1 Anyway, I thought I'd make 2 tags to go with it - one with a hippo and one with a birdie. If there is no interest, I'll go with something traditional.

Too cute!

You can make me those. They sound adorable.

Pst, I'm not in this swap.:rotfl:

Since I haven't cut anything yet, I think that can be arranged. :)

You know. . .if you were to make a prototype, and it needed a home. . .I know a certain person (ahem, me!! me!!!) who would take it off your hands!!! ;)

Two extra, huh? I might be able to swing that too. I'll have to check my paper supply... :rolleyes1

Hippo birdie works for me :thumbsup2 I was going to do "Make a wish..." if that's OK with everyone so we get a bit of variety in our titles. I'm going to work on them later today (DS(8) has a party and DH is going to watch football at the squash club so I'll have a bit of peace.) Just need to finish :laundy: :guilty:
