Returning- Spring Quarter for Year Round Swap - Due April 5

Finished mine yesterday. I did "celebrate" as my birthday topper (just to trying to be a little different). I leave for Florida on Wednesday so these will definitely be postal before then. I'm just trying to finish up a few other things.

Isn't it funny how many of you came up with non-traditional birthday toppers?

Susie - Sorry I'm a day late but I'm checking in I honestly haven't even started yet. My Goal is to finish this and the everyday swap this week

Good grief, y'all are giving me a complex, finishing things already! I've still got 3 more copies of one of my recipes to make this week, and then I'm going to get started on this. I love all the cute birthday title ideas. Better put my thinking cap on!

My 2 birthday groups are done!

Yeah!
Thanks for checking in everyone!

I love that we are having different birthday titles:goodvibes It gives some leeway to using them on other pages:thumbsup2

I got everything cut out tonight (not the cricut stuff, just the regular pieces). Now, I just have to assemble! :)

Hey! I was just working on my stuff. (I know! I'm actually on time! :)) I was wondering if anyone in the birthday group would mine if I did Hippo Birdie instead of Happy Birthday. At our house, we always sing Hippo Birdie Two Ewes instead of Happy Birthday to you. I know. We're all dorks. :rolleyes1 Anyway, I thought I'd make 2 tags to go with it - one with a hippo and one with a birdie. If there is no interest, I'll go with something traditional.

:wave2: This so sounds like a set you need to post on Pass it Foward:flower3: :flower3: :flower3: :rotfl: It sounds SO cute

I'll see about the "Pay it Forward". I haven't made any yet... :)

But I was thinking - I'm going to ask a dumb question (shocker, I know...). What makes a paper piecing a paper piecing? Here's what I want to know. I was going to make 2 tags and stick my cut out hippo and birdie on each. But when I was playing with the images in RoboMaster, it was WAY cuter with the birdie sitting on the hippos back. The set will be pretty big and each with get a party hat (of course...) and the hippo with have a gift (how could he not??). But I don't want anyone to feel "gyped" out of getting 2 tags, but I just can't think of anything cute for the other tag. I guess I will have to make one and show you.

In any case...what makes a paper piecing a paper piecing? :)

I think if it has layers that you assemble, it is a paper piecing. Does that make sense?

On the Mickey & Friends cart, if I cut out Mickey hands -- that is not a paper piecing, it is a die cut. Not sure if I addressed your situation though.

Am I in your bday group? I don't need 2 tags -- your substitute sounds fine to me.

Ok. Layers are the key. I'll make it work. :) (yes, I am channeling Tim Gunn. :))

cut out but that's it. I was all excited when I saw in amag about making a scalloped border using a corner rounder, but you need the MM one not CM

Finished Easter today. This being stuck at home sucks but luckily I have lots of swapping to work on. Will work on either the color swap or the birthday one for this tonight.

ETA --- finished the birthday ones, too. These are better than I hoped.

Yea!

I hope to get the birthday ones done this weekend so i can post them and the colour ones next week.
