Returning book to amazon.ca???

Hey, thought I'd check in with you guys and see if anyone can help me. I purchased some school books from amazon.ca and now since I had to drop one of my University courses I have to send one of the books back. Do I just stick the invoice paper inside the box ( I have the original shipping box) and send it off in the mail. It's worth a great deal and I'm just worried something is going to go wrong.

I've returned books to them and had no problem with getting a credit to my charge card. You could always insure the package if you're concerned. I usually pay for package tracking instead of insurance. It costs less and I can tell when they've received it.

Give them a call to see how it should be sent back ... last year, I bought a DVD from them that was damaged. They just told me to wrap it up and send it back to them (no mention of insurance) ... I had my boyfriend mail it for me... naturally, he didn't think to insure it Luckily, it arrived safely ... and they put a credit back onto my account (they didn't have any more DVDs). I think if you ship it using Xpresspost, it comes with insurance up to $100 ... you might want to check with the post office though... good luck

Thanks guys I guess I'll ship it off on it's merry little way. It's like putting a $100 in the mail and hoping it gets there.

That's why you should insure it Jules. It doesn't cost a lot and it makes it traceable. I used to work for Canada Post so......

Is amazon.ca the same as amazon.com? I recently returned a couple of dvds. If you log on and review your order it will tell you how to return merchandise and can print out a return shipping label. They will deduct the cost of shipping from your return. Not sure how you would do this with insurance..
