Hiya (again)
I have just recieved our etickets from virgin, and have been able to prebook our seats on the outward flight, from Man to Orlando (there are 11 of us flying so want to be together this includes 2 infants and a 5 and 8 year old). But when i tried to prebook the return flight seats there were none left together only a few dotted about but no two seats together, my sister in law is now panicking, obviously at the thought of her 2 boys sat on their own, so i phoned a lovely man from Virgin (from the call centre not based in the UK) and he assured me that they release more seats 24 hours before departure. So we can go online or get to DTD early so we can be sat together
Is this right?
Also he also prebooked us 2 baby meals, i haven't heard of these before, does anyone know what is in them?
Many Thanks
Ali

they only release a few on the website and save the most for check in at the airport.

If you are doing online check in 24 hours before more seats will be free then

I always have this problem and 9 times out of 10 do them when i check in

60% are released online, the other 40% are held back till airport check-ing, those include all exit-row seats and bulkhead seats.

with 2 infants (if they are under 12 months) you'll get a bulkhead seats for at least one adult and the baby anyway as thats the only place for the skycots. They may well not seat you all together but they'll make sure all the kids have at least one adult with them.

Problem with the MCO flights is that its all family's and couples - there are rarely single passengers to dot around the loose seats, everyone books in blocks of people and not everyone will get to sit together if you're one of the last to select your seats.

I have not been able to choose seats with Virgin for the last 2 holidays and had to wait till we were at the airport or Downtown Disney. We have always been sat together but we are only a family of 4.

Thanks for your replies, you have eased my mind, at least if we can sit a few together it is just so the boys aren't sat on their own.
Many Thanks
Ali

I pre-booked seats last year with Virgin both outbound and inbound. Just been on to do online check-in and our seats have changed. I suspect to satisfy a family arrangement like yours. Although I would have preferred my original seats I could not amend them so I have gone with what they have allocated me, at least I know that we will all be sitting together.

This happened the last time we booked with Virgin so it is obviously no guarantee to pre-book your seats. I wouldn't be too concerned.

pre booking seats is never a guarentee as they may have to change due to operational reasons and change of aircraft

Sorry that was my spiel when I used to work for them! so used to saying stuff like that

I prebooked for our December trip & we never got them - I wouldn't worry - you should get some together.
