Looking for some feedback on Kouzzina....not so sure after reading some so-so reviews....is it really worth it? I really don't want to burn an ADR on a not-so-great dinner....TIA

We are going there for breakfast. Honestly, I am not even sure that I want to spend the money on it. The only reason we are going there is because of our :worship: of Cat Cora. The menu for dinner is so not a must do for us. While I would be thrilled to try it out, my partner is a very picky eater and would hate it.

Just keep in mind, opinions vary, tastes vary, and most folks are far more likely to post a negative review than a positive one. Good luck in making your decision. Maggie

I can't speak for dinner, but we had Breakfast there and it really wasn't anything special. There was nothing wrong with the food but it was nothing that I couldn't have gotten at many other places. We are Cat Cora fans so that was are impetus for trying it out.

My mom is a big Cat Cora fan, but I didn't like the looks of their dinner menu...too much feta for me! I did book breakfast there and they do accept the DDP. Also, the CM said it's been very popular and there are only a few openings. Although I'm sure the fact that it is Cat Cora's restaurant is the reason people want to go there, even if the food isn't very good.

I cancelled mine the other day..too many eh reviews on it and to be honest I wasnt thrilled with the entree selection..going to Il Mulino instead! We may try breakfast there next month....

We're re-thinking it as well. We're holding onto our ressies & hoping for some really good reviews. I like alot of the apps, but not so much the entrees. We talked about it this morning & as much as we love Cat Cora, we will probably wind up eating at the F&W Festival instead that night. So far, I think we are keeping our breakfast ressies.

I would have to at least stop in for some Loukomades.

I'm not sure what to do either. We will only be there for 5 nights. I know it sounds silly but I don't want to waste a dinner on a so so meal. My husband loves a good meal and don't want to disappoint him either. The kids will survive. I am looking forward to trying something new but was hoping for better reviews.

from what I've read so far... if you're used to traditional Greek food...you will like it. If not? You might not.

We ate at Kouzzina about 3 wks ago and did not really care for it. After we went, I wished I had that ADR back and I love Greek food! We frequent a local Greek restaurant all the time and one of my friends is Greek and I have eaten authentic Greek food at her house very often and this was not good. My son loved his fish on the kids menu, but everyone else was not very happy.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. :)

Mickey-I've read and loved your reviews...when you said that you cancelled, it carried a lot of weight with me....and told me that my misgivings weren't nuts. I hope you enjoy Il Mulino, and I'll look forward to your full report!

.

Well, we decided to cancel, and will just extend our walk & graze at F&W into the dinner hour. If we truly can't survive w/o a "meal" then we'll just punt with Sunshine Seasons or Beaches & Cream...or there is always room service....somehow I suspect we won't starve!:rotfl:

We ate there just a few days ago and it is already on my list of MUST DOes for next summer.

Be aware - it is NOT your usual themepark food
We shared the calamari with lemons and it was devine.
We both loved our main courses and even though the "baklava" was a bit too heavy for my liking, the Greek doughnuts (fried dough, drizzled with honey and dipping sauces) was to die for!

Don't give up on it just before you actually try it yourself! WE are going back!!

We ate at Cat's twice last week. Once for breakfast and once for dinner. Breakfast was quite good. Dinner was fantastic!! We shared the breads and spreads appetizers which was YUMMY. I had the Fishermen's Stew and my husband had the Whole Fish. Both were very good and tasty. The couple next to us had the lamb shank and were raving about it throughout their meal. We enjoyed everything and it is already on the list for next year.

Don't let someone else's bad review make up your mind for you. It's definitely not burgers and fries, but it is a WELCOME addition to a Disney line up that is becoming way too similar in offerings.

We ate there in Aug. during the soft opening and it was wonderful. Two of us had the lasgna, one had the whole fish, and the other had the lamb. Everything was great and in good size portions. We had the flatbread with carmalized onions and olives for an appetizer and it was really great. Our two 20-somethings had the greek salad and said it was the best they had had. It is 1 TS on the DDP and is definitely worth it. As others have said, it is not your standard park dinner so that may be why some people are not so overjoyed with it. We will definitely be going back and it is worth the 1 TS no doubt about it.

Kevin,
If you are following this thread, I think that a trip to Kouzzina is in order for a review. ;) My DW and I have an ADR for our October trip and also thinking of trying breakfast since there are few options for this meal at the BWV. :(

Thanks for posting that they take the Tables in Wonderland card (DDE)! :thumbsup2

I had a Boma reservation that I canceled as soon as ADR became available for Kouzzina (but before the menu came out). I also made a breakfast ADR. I have since canceled the dinner ADR, but kept the breakfast one.

The menu definitely doesn't sound as mainstream as other restaurants, and it is that fact that is drawing me to wanting to go there in February. I am just excited to have a new offering that is different than anywhere else, and of course -Cat Cora is a big draw.

Does anyone know if they have shut the window for good on the pizza window, or is this being utilized in some way, shape or form?

My mom and I ate there recently and it was amazing - the appetizer platter for 2 was to die for and we had greek salads instead of entrees - best greek salad I have ever had! I will definitely go back!
