Sorry for my lack of knowledge here. We are staying at Pop Century Jan. 22-28. I assume we can go to any of the resturants in the hotels? As long as we can get there?

I noticed that in a book I have it says that Wilderness Lodge does have bus service to all places? Is this true? Will I be able to get to the Whispering Canyon.

Also, is Cinderella's Royal Table somewhere that we could eat for lunch or do you have to reserve a spot weeks/months in advance.

Again, sorry I for my lack of knowledge here!! Thanks.

Cinderella Royal Table books up quite a while in advance. I would definately make a PS there, or figure it was a lost cause.

As far as dining at other resorts, yes you can eat at any of the restaurants at any resort. IF you are using Disney transport, you'll need to take a bus to Downtown Disney or one of the parks, then transfer to the bus for the resort where you want to dine. Or, for the MK area resorts, you could take a bus to EPCOT, hop the monorail then transfer to the resort monorail (for CR, Poly and GF) or take a boat to Wilderness Lodge for Whispering Canyon.

You're right, you can eat anywhere you want to, including the restaurants at other resorts. You can take a bus, boat, or monorail from any of the parks or Downtown Disney to get to the resorts, I'm not sure how you get to Wilderness Lodge from MK, but from other parks I'd assume it would be a bus. It can take awhile, all the guides I've read said to allow at least an hour travelling from resort to resort, but you can certainly get there. I would think you could still get a PS for Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch or dinner, but I'd call Disney Dining (407-WDW-DINE) and see what they have available during your trip. It is available at 90 days out but doesn't seem to fill up as fast as the breakfast, probably because no princesses are there, although sometimes you find a character in the lobby.

Hope this helps, and don't apologize for not knowing, if you don't ask, you don't know!

To get from one resort to another, you have to take a bus to one of the parks first then board the bus to the resort of your choice.

You can eat at the restaurants at any of the resorts. ESPN is a great Lunch/Dinner restaurant that is located at the Boardwalk.

As far as Cindy's - you have to make ressies in advance (well in advance). Not sure about lunch - I believe it is still only breakfast.

Good Luck

WOW!! Thanks, I will have to take notes on this one. My DS5 would LOVE to take a boat, so I will try to figure out how to do it that way.

Now, where do you need to go to to take the boat? Where does it leave from?

thanks.

If you happen to be visiting the MK you can boat over to the WL from there. As you know Whispering Canyon is located right off the lobby of the WL.

Just my opinion but if you are going from one resort to another I would leave at least one and a half hours early because buses may make multiple stops and you probably have to take more than one bus and then possibly wait for it. If you are going from Pop to Whispering Canyon, take the bus to MK then the boat to Wilderness Lodge. There is also the ferryboat between the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC) and the Magic Kingdom (MK).
This is just personal experience but what struck me from my first trip onsite was how much longer it took to get to places than I orignally thought, hence my recommending leaving a longer time. And to tell you the truth, even after 5 visits in 4 years, it still many times takes longer than I had planned to do almost anything. Even the monorail sometimes gets held up! You might also want to try a character meal, it is a way to get pictures and autographs without having to stand in line. Have fun and have a great trip!

If you are using a park or DTD as a transfer point, make sure to leave from your resort (unless you are going straight from a park) at least 1 1/2 hours before your PS. It took us that long to get from PO-R to BC for PS at Cape May Cafe. We had no idea, and were about 45 minutes late.

IMO, the best way to do meals at most resorts is to plan it around your park schedules. For example, plan a meal at Whispering Canyon (highly recommended, by the way!!) for an evening when you'll be at MK. The boat ride over is really easy, and fun! If you time it right, you might even get to see Wishes from the dock when you head back after dinner. If you want to go to a Boardwalk or Yacht/Beach Club restaurant, it's a lot easier to do if you walk from Epcot's International Gateway as opposed to taking a bus, so try to plan it for an Epcot day.

Hope that helps!

I completely agree with AshClan. DO NOT plan on going from your hotel to another Disney hotel to eat. It just takes too much time. Go to the park of your choice and if you want to eat at a resort in that area it makes your life a whole lot easier. From the MK you can easily get to the Contemporary, Poly, Wilderness Lodge, Fort Wilderness, or Grand Floridan to eat. From Epcot you have so many restaurants on the boardwalk and Yacht/Beach club area. You can also get to this area from the Studios. It is a pretty long (but we find enjoyable if not too hot) walk (15-20 minutes without small children), but you can also take a slow but relaxing boat ride. The boat travels between the International Gateway of Epcot to the Studios stopping at the Boardwalk, Yacth/Beach clubs and Swan/Dolphin.
The walk from the International Gateway to anything in the boardwalk/Yacht-Beach club area is only about ten minutes.
