Does anyone know if there are restroom facilities on the following:

Disney Magical Express
Disney Buses (from resorts to parks)
Disney Boats (from resorts to parks)

Thanks!

DME motor coaches do have small bathroom facilities. I would use them in an emergency only. I believe that during off hours sometimes DME may use smaller vans with no bathroom instead of the large motorcoaches.

Otherwise, Disney buses that go between the parks and resorts do not have any bathrooms on them and neither do the boats. The one boat I don't know about is the large ferry that travels across the lagoon between the MK and the TTC.

No, not even on the ferryboats.

Disney Transport buses are just your typical urban transit buses: no toilets, no baggage, and not enough seats!

Although this may be TMI, I can see where some folks might want to be able to have facilities on transportation.

For example, you leave a park and go to the restroom outside of the park, then have to wait through two to three buses due to the long line, then you could be looking at 30-40 minutes before even boarding, and then a 20 minute bus ride and then the third stop at a resort, then a loooong walk to the nearest restroom, I could see that as a problem time wise, cause you are looking at over an hour away from a restroom. Especially since it is really hot and you are consuming copious amounts of fluids

Yup, you were right, TMI.
Hey, how about some sympathy for bus drivers? Driving for 4 hours is quite comman and drivers can't leave the bus as long as guests are on the bus. So guests having to go without for a couple of hours is nothing.

I'm not saying I don't have sympathy, I'm just saying there are people that are constantly wondering where the restroom is. I'm pretty sure that if someone had that difficulty, they wouldn't accept a position where they couldn't be near a restroom for that long.

I was just kidding anyway. We're allowed to stop whenever we need to.

I would recommend that anyone who is going to feel that they are going to need to be able to access restrooms easily just rent a car. There is nothing worse than standing around, for an hour or so, then standing on a moving bus...all while thinking of nothing other than 'when do we get there!!!!!?' Much easier to just rent a car and be master of your own destiny.

Jackpot!!!

:D

This is a strange topic but what the heck, I'll keep it going. We have special language to notify the bus dispatcher if someone threw up or if we need an ambulance, but no special wording, that I'm aware of, if there is another kind of accident on board. And I've never heard other drivers talk about it either, so I guess it must not be an issue.

Oh, I could go into some serious TMI here - but I won't! :scared1: Didn't realize starting this thread would create a real conversation!

I have heard code yellow or code brown. I'm lucky that I have not had to call either.

There are also no guest facilities at any of the theme park bus areas except Epcot. At DHS, they're within view but a pretty good walk away, and at MK they're inside the secured area, so guests have to walk all the way back to the bag check. At AK, the bushes conveniently located across from the load area are a frequent substitute.

Ew, really?

I had a he## of a ride from DHS to the CR one night. No accident but let's just say that I'm gald there are restrooms on the first lobby area of the CR!!!!!

Ew, really?

Kinda sorta.;)

If you need to use the restrooms near the buses at MK, just hand your bag to another family member, and go thru the no bag security line. The restrooms are very close by. The ones at DS are to the right as you are leaving the park, so how close it is will depend on what resort you are staying at. And I believe at AK you can go inside the Rainforest Cafe and use the restrooms there, without having to go back inside the park.

Hope this helps!

I can only imagine how long that ride seemed.

Another good reason to rent a car.
