Restaurants...HELP!

hey

So I know it's pretty last minute but i think my boyfriend and I have decided to finally start booking our trip for late april/ early may to WDW! I just wanted to know about restaurants? It isn't a big deal if we aren't able to get ADR's and eat somewhere in disney, because I know about the 90 day period you're supposed to book restaurants for, but if it is possible that would be great! Since this is our first trip together I thought it would be nice to eat in the world atleast once during our trip (maybe even more).

What I wanted to know was.... if there are any.. which restaurants in disney world will let you make ADR's closer to your trip (like 2 months)? And if so what are some good restaurants?? Maybe a list of your favs (with reasonable prices) would be awesome! Thanks so much!

Almost all of the restaurants will allow you to make ADRs within 24-48hours of the time you want it. The problem is that most restaurants don't have any ADR times left in that short of notice. We got ADRs for 1900 Park Fare (breakfast at the GF) the night before we went on our last trip....but I think that is pretty rare. You can always just put your name in at a restaurant and wait for a table.

Here are the places we ate (we liked all of them):

-Crystal Palace dinner in Magic Kingdom (Winnie the Pooh and Friends are there but the food is delicious!). Buffet, delicious food, awesome desserts.

-Boma dinner in Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort (African buffet, many choices for everyone, awesome desserts...mostly with alcohol in them!)

-Biergarten dinner in Epcot...German buffet with a wonderful Oktoberfest show. Excellent food and lovely entertainment

-Liberty Tree Tavern dinner at Magic Kingdom...family style meal of turkey, roast beef, ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, mac and cheese. There were characters when we went but no more characters now. Food was good, nice atmosphere

-1900 Park Fare dinner at Grand Floridian Resort...dinner with Cinderella, Prince Charming and the stepmom and stepsisters. Delicious buffet, nice atmosphere...worth it just for a trip to the Grand Floridian!

-Chef Mickey's breakfast at Contemporary Resort...delicious food and you get to meet Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and we also saw Donald there.

-Hollywood & Vine breakfast at Disney's Hollywood Studios...more for little kids with Playhouse Disney characters but delicious food.

It's always worth getting into a theme park early (on a NON-EMH morning) by going to a character breakfast an hour before the park opens. We did that at Hollywood Studios and it was so worth it...we got the earliest seating they have and we were out well before rope drop and I was the second person at the fastpass machine for ToyStory Mania!

-Spoodles at the Boardwalk for dinner
-Cape May Cafe for dinner at Beach Club, and also for the character breakfast

Congrats! on going to WDW! I would check on allearsnet.com and look at all of the restaurants and menus and find some that you think you would like. It can't hurt to try to make some adrs. My trip is in 55 days, and I just made 3 more adrs yesterday. Some of our favorites are Tutto Italia (Epcot) Plaza (Magic Kingdom) Mama Melrose or Brown Derby in Hollywood Studios. Go for it and have a great trip!!!

Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco is fantastic and usually not too busy - you can probably get in pretty easily.

Try The Wave at the Contemporary or DTD if you can't get what you are looking for.

When we ate at The Wave it wasn't busy. My neighbours were able to get into restaurants in DTD without ADR's.

We ate at the Wave for breakfast in June and it was AWESOME!!!!!

We had dinner there! It was good and fast. I think it was the fastest service we had for the whole 2 weeks. It's nice when you have small children, some of the places the kids were getting ancy during the long meal.

Also... when I call to make my ADR's... can I book more then one at a time??

If you book right at the 90 day mark, you can do the first 10 days of your trip.

If you are after your 90 day mark than you can book them all at once.
