WHich Restaurant can you eat and watch the fire works for MK? What time do you need ADRs for to time it correctly? Do you need to make a note in your ressie for it also?
Thanks.

california grill at the contemp is probably the best. however, you can also see them from narccoossee's at the GR, ohana at the poly. i would check the fireworks schedule on www.disney.go.com and plan accordingly. probably try for an hour prior to the time scheduled. good luck.

THose three are the best restaurants for fireworks views. We always try to make reservations one hour before show time.
Many-if not most-tables at all 3 restaurants do NOT have a fireworks view. When you arive you can ask for a window table--if you don't get one, it's pretty easy to just walk outside and enjoy the show.

We have dinner at Artist Point. When we're finished, we take a boat to the MK, and then to the Grand Floridian. We watch "Wishes" from the Grand Floridian's boat dock. It' a much quieter and romantic evening.

They do not quarantee any views. You can ask at the podium but the majority of tables are not by the windows so you could be setting yourself up for a disappointment.

Was just at California Grill, the only reservation was right before fireworks at 7:40 which was quite a pain as we did not get seated until 8:20. People obviously are not going to give up tables before the fireworks and once the fireworks are over the restaurant opens up quite a bit. So.... either book a table at least 1 hour before fireworks or 15 min after fireworks and get there early and go on the balcony with a drink and sit down after fireworks. CG's reservation system, if you could call it that has a hard time dealing with people that sit at a table for 2+ hours waiting for the fireworks. You think that they would have figured a way out by now but they have not and back up often.

I have only eatten at Ohana's during fireworks and hearing everyone's comments, I feel so lucky.
We had to change or ADR 2 days before, we got seated at Ohana's right before the fireworks...a window seat perfectly centered with the castle and the show. They did pipe in the music. It was absolutely magical and perfect!!! Plus, I loved the food also! It was also perfect for my daughter who hates loud noise and my mom whose was experiencing WDW for the first time ever!

I think Cali Grill would be great also!
Good luck!

Becky

At the California Grill they will let you back upstairs after your meal to see the fireworks from the outside viewing areas. Your meal doesn't have to be the exact same time as the fireworks. Going before your ADR to see them is a great idea.

That Artist Point evening sounds wonderful!

We have an 8:30 reservation at Narcoossee's one night of our July trip. Wishes is at 10. I am hoping that timing works perfectly. Can't wait!

We have eaten at Ca Grill about 20 times and have only had a window seat facing MK once; all other times we went out on the observation platforms. We've eaten at Narcoosees 3 times and have not had a window seat yet. I think planning your meal with the assumption that you will get a window seat is a bad idea; if you get one you should just appreciate the pixie dust.

The only reason to select these places to eat is because you want to try the cuisine they offer.

My TA suggested that we make a later reservation the night we were going to eat at Ohana so we could see the fireworks.

We got a great time with a view of the castle, and it was so romantic - of course that could have been because we were on our honeymoon :lovestruc

We picked Narcoossee's for the cuisine, atmosphere, and service. wishes will be a bonus! We will be celebrating our 15th there, so it will be a great night. I figure that dinner at 8:30 can have us out on the deck with a drink comfortably after dinner. If by luck we get a table near the windows, I think we can stretch that 8:30 reservation and eat and drink more slowly. I hear that the dinner there takes some time anyway.
