Restaurant reviews and recipes...formerly Disney QOTD

We have eaten there many times.....

Really good burgers & I love the ice cream sundaes!!!
Really cute & old fashioned inside~
Why does ice cream taste so much better in Disney?;)

You know, I think I ate there back in 1993. But I know I'd like to eat there again, the menu seems so good.

I think almost everything tastes better at Disney!

If you run across the recipe Cauliflower Soup at Jiko, LMK. We ate there probably close to 2 months ago and they were to e-mail me the recipe. Haven't seen it yet. Figuring by now I won't.

We ate once a Tony's. My meal was not bad. But that is one place DH says NO to. I did think it was a lazy kitchen. To start the bread, butter and spaghetti dipping sauce came out straight from the frig. I said something to the waitress and basically got a shrug and was told that's the way they serve it.
Maybe it was just the day we were there. But DH and the couple we were with will not return.

I always thought the Plaza was over rated. And have not returned since I had a gristly burger there. I think of that crappy over priced hamburger when I think of The Plaza.

Brown Derby has always been good. But don't eat there often. Loved their Mushroom Soup when I was there last, and got the recipe for it. I even made it, and it tasted nothing like the restaurant that day. Kinda bland at home. It was okay. I think they had wine in it at the restaurant.

I love the mushroom lasagna at Coral Reef. :yay:

I have the Disney Delicious cookbook. Guess I should look in there. I also have a recipe book from Food & Wine from a few years ago.

Here's a recipe from the F&W cookbook. The only one we (as in DH) has made from the cookbook:

Strawberry and Mango Salad with Cilantro (Chile)

1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
2 medium mangoes, peeled and cut into 1/2" cubes
1/2 c water
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c orange juice
1 T key lime juice
1 T finely chopped cilantro

1) Combine the strawberries and mangoes in a large mixing bowl, cover and set aside.
2) To make the syrup, combine the water, sugar, orange juice and key lime juice in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 -10 minutes or until slightly reduced. Set aside to cool.
3) To serve, pour the cooled syrup over the fruit and stir in the cilantro.

It's the food court in The Land building.
For a food court, they are pretty good. Nice varieties; lots of selection. I have found their desserts look a lot better than they taste though. ;)

We really like this food court for a CS meal.
Plenty to choose from for everyone.
I like the chocolate cake ;)

This is actually a CS I have tried.....

Did have a turkey & brie sandwich which was good as well as some veggie rolls. Both really good.
Great people watching location!

Have eaten there twice, didn't like the breakfast, but did like the dinner.

I love Sunshine Seasons! It's one of my favorite CS in WDW. I had some Asian food there 2 years ago that I really liked. Only problem with this place is it is really noisy, not a place for restful eating.

I think I need to go to WDW more often, as I hadn't even heard of this place! :rotfl:
I don't remember ANY of the actual places in the Land pavilion food court, but we've eaten there. I've also waited for DH, DS, & DD to ride Soarin there. BUSY place!
