We just got back from Disneyworld on Sunday, we did the Disney Dining and loved it. There was pleanty of food and we got to eat at restaurants we would not have the budget for. My kids ranged in age from 5 (twin boys), 9 (boy) and 19 (girl).
The first day we ate at Wispering Canyon for lunch (at Wilderness Lodge), then at Cinderellas Castle for the evening meal. Cinderellas was nice, the 19 yr old loved it the 5 yr olds didn't care. Cinderella was there and spent some time posing w/ kids for pictures.
The next day we ate at Le Cellier (Epcot - Canada), I loved the food, kids (except 19 yr old) thought it was o.k. Best Steak and presentation of the trip.
The next day we ate at Crystal Palace. I would highly recommend at lunch or dinner w/Characters. We got good time with the characters and the food was really good. All my kids enjoyed.
We had another character dinner at Garden Grill (Epcot - Land), food was good, the characters were Mickey Mouse, Chip & Dale, and Pluto. They came by the tables but didn't interact (except Pluto), as well as the characters at the Crystal Palace did. My kids liked the fact the restauant revolves so the scenery changes.
The last meal was Sci- Fi Dinner theatre. I was expecting the food to be just o.k. but I really enjoyed it, far better than what some of the other reviewers thought. The kids hardly said a word they were so taken by the setting and movies going on. They didn't want to leave.
Hope this helps, try counter service at downtown disney - Wolfgang Puck express -- it was wonderful.
The meal plan was great, we needed no extra cash (ended the trip w/18 snacks still unused - loaded up on fruit and chips for the ride home), we added up our tickets -- well over $980.
The other two places we ate were
