Hi everyone! We just planned a trip and are coming up on our dining reservation day. Any TS places where you’d say the quality has gone noticeably up or down in the last couple of years?

We’re not huge Disney Springs fans so would only go there for something really special.

Thanks!

The two best meals from our last trip were Bluezoo at the swalphin and Flying Fish. Flying Fish has been consistently good over our last few trips. It was our first time at Bluezoo and honestly I was shocked how good it was as not many people mention it, it was our best meal of the trip.

Even though you stated you're not Disney Springs fans I would recommend a trip to that area for Boathouse. I've been there more than a few times and have thoroughly enjoyed it each time.

Citricos has been consistently excellent for us for years. We first ate there a dozen years ago and liked it so much we returned 2 nights later. A classy but relaxing atmosphere with generally excellent service, though we've had the occasional inefficient server as happens anywhere.

Trattoria al Forno is also substantially better than it was pre-covid. Not that it wasn't good enough for the price, but now we've had such great food there we're eager to return next trip. Hoping they bring back the character breakfast soon. Flynn and Rapunzel were great fun as were Ariel and Eric--one of the few places to meet princes other than Cindy's Charming.

GF Cafe is a snug and highly reliable choice though dishes may be a bit too creative for some tastes. Consistently good service in a cheery atmosphere as bright and airy as Crystal Palace. Also, easier to do a walkup than most places.

We're big fans of Topolino's now. Stunning dinners when last there which is something since both of us have food allergies. That's not to say other places don't do well with allergies, they do. We simply found Topolino's chef eager to modify dishes for our enjoyment as well as safety.

Beaches and Cream and Liberty Tree Tavern are favorites for us for good ol' All-American chow. B&C will be Disney loud and then some as can LTT.

Chefs de France on the other hand was a huge disappointment last trip in '21. DH's steak, the only meat he could have due to his peppers allergy, was badly cooked, gristly, and served with plain unseasoned white rice. We'd previously booked it every trip, we liked it that much and had had wonderful meals there. We'll wait a year or two before trying it again in hopes it was inadequate supplies and staffing due to the pandemic.

I could go on, but there are some ideas for you.

It could have been on off day but when we at at LTT last June, the salad greens were wilted, and everything was incredibly salty. We sent back the first plate of both sides and meats as they were also a bit cold and congealed. Second plate was hot and still salty.

Ohana was much worse than. Pre-Covid in our opinion

Flying Fish and Citricos are fantastic. We also really enjoy breakfast at Topolino's.

It isn't a change, but Jiko and Flying Fish continue to be very good.
Agree with Chef de France has become a disappointment.

I would have to say Topolinos and Citricos! I will not miss going to Topolinos when I come and just recently went to Citricos for the first time and now it is on my list as well. Used to love 50s and San Angel Inn and now I pass on those.

Citricos and Flying Fish are my go-tos these days. Both consistently exceptional, for both food and service. The servers at these restaurants take pride in the fact that they are at these locations, and it shows!

That was our experience with Ohana. If I look back, though, the decline started before Covid. It was always a breakfast spot for us but I think we've probably had our fill.

Have consistently good experiences at Kona Cafe, though

Topolino’s continues to be reliably delicious. We also love Toledo at Gran Destino tower. We were very pleasantly surprised by our meal at Cali Grill in March. Food was fantastic, and we were in that quiet room at the far left of the restaurant.
