Restaurant ettiquette question!

This seems to be The Disney "race", serve all the food at once and turn the table quickly. This trip in Februrary I learned my lesson. I would let the server know I wanted a relaxing meal and I would first order the appetizers and when they came I would tell them I hadn't decided what I wanted for my main dish. I wasn't rude about it and within 5 or ten minutes they always came back for the rest of the order. I don't mind rushing through a CS meal, but when I'm spending +150.00 for a TS meal I want to enjoy it.

this is the way to go! You don't want to risk what they will do to your food if you would send it back( I have heard too many real stories about what happens when people send food back ughhh) This is the perfect solution!

I can never understand how appys and mains arrive at the same time. Most places POS system for orders has a delay button. I served for years and there was always a delay button. You would input the order but hit it. The appys would go right in but the main would appear to the kitchen for a good 8 minutes.

It's so weird, but I always have the opposite problem. I KNOW what I want, and I'm HUNGRY. Give me three seconds to glance at the menu to make sure my brain is working properly and I can give the whole order. But they always want to scurry off after the drink order, and then don't bring the drinks for a while. I'm not in a rush and I'm not trying to lollygag, but if I'm ready to give you the whole order, why not stick aorund and take it? I'm not completely opposed to eating my apps with my entree if need be. I just want my food. Quit running away from me when I'm trying to give you my order!

We only had this happen in Tony's, but it was at the last mouthful of soup so wasn't a prob. Does this happen quite frequently?

We did go at a quieter time so maybe they weren't in such a rush to turn around the tables
