Anyone have a discount code they can share for Restaurant.com??

Thanks,
Tammy

I just found "freedom" for 60% off. I tried it and it works. It gave me a $25 GC for $6.25 (I didn't buy it. Just testing). I always check retailmenot.com before I buy anything online. I bought about $125 value in restaurant gift certificates for $18.25 a few weeks ago. Sometimes there are codes for 80% off. Good Luck.

The later you can wait to buy each month, the bigger the discount. You just risk that your restaurant may sell out for that month if it's a popular one.

The cool thing is that when it's at 80% you can buy several just plain gift certificates, and then designate them when the certificates are renewed! You just have to remember to buy them when they are cheap, and make them into specific restaurants when they are available.

What??? How do you do that? I find it amazing that every time there is a 80% off code, the restaurants I want are sold out but then when the coupon expires, they are magically available again. Hmmmm......

I haven't done it in a while, and it looks like there are two ways to do it now. Go to "give a gift" tab and you can purchase a gift certificate. I guess you can now get a gift card too! Really easy. Then when your fave restaurant opens again, go to redeem gift.
Works great!

I have suggested this several times and I will again - with the restaurant of the month club you can get 6 months of $25 certificates and get a free $25 one free. And if you can get it with an 80% off - that means you will get 7 (not 6) gift certificates for only $12. You can go through ebates for additional cashback -making it closer to $10. You can buy this gift subscription for yourself

I just went and checked on a couple of places that are always sold out and sure enough, they are once again sold out and this is only the 2nd! I bought DS a $100 gift cert last month for his birthday at 80% off so it was pretty much just an add on to his card it was so cheap! I will warn him he needs to get there on the 1st day of the month to get the good ones!

Thanks for the answer as to how to buy a generic gc, but I have one more question. The two certs I bought each say good only for one per party, per month, per restaurant. Does that mean that I can only use one of the certs each month or only once at that particular restaurant in a month? None of the restaurants that participate are anywhere near where I live so the two I bought are for our Myrtle Beach vacation but if I can only use one per month, the second one is useless.

If the two certificates you bought are for the exact same location, then you can only dine there once in the month. You also can not go with two separate parties and have each party use their own coupon(which were bought from the same acct) either.

You can dine at as many places as you wish during the month, you just can't go to any one of them twice! Hope that clears it up!

I use 2 coupons a month all the time. I just go to different restaurants. It has yet to be an issue of any kind. I always buy when certs are 80% off.....I never have any problems finding my restaurants have certs available. In fact on 6-30 I bought 2 for our new favorite pizza place, both for $2. :) We had pizza that night for dinner and we can have it again anytime this month.
Tiffany, can you give more info on the rest. of the month thing?

Each month they send you a code and you can log on and choose the certificate you want. But, you don't need to do it that day, as it is stored in your restaurant.com gift certificates in your account. It is good for any of the $25 certificates (even ones that normally run $15... you will still be getting them even tho you are basically getting the $2 price).

It is quite awesome - If they ever have a 90% off code I am gonna buy a few of these. Need any more details?

I just find this offer on their website? That sounds really good. Basically you're pre-buying certs and then redeeming them when you need them?

Yes just go to "Give a Gift" and then choose "Dinner of the Month Club". Or if you don't care about the extra one and want to get them all upfront, you can just buy regular certificates

I'm not sure I understand the "hmmmm...."

1. Each month, each restaurant only contracts for a certain number of certificates.
2. Some restaurants offer fewer certificates than others.
3. Some restaurants (or certificate amounts, or meals) are more popular than others.
4. Discounts and codes are more widespread toward the end of the month, when there is less stock available - typical marketing strategy.
